A characteristic that human children and wildlife children share is that they will do things in their own time.
You may try and feed them, but they will eat when they want, walk when they want, and talk when they want.
And just like human babies, this elephant baby had no problem doing exactly what he wanted.
His mother may have walked past him, implying let’s go, but this cutie was not ready to move.
He enjoyed scratching his itchy butt while he pondered life…

And rolled over in the dirt..

And just did his thing..

Until he was ready to get up.

He must have been exhausted from the long journey that him and his family were on, because he just wanted to be a lazy little elephant for a moment.
