No, this is not a deleted scene from Sharknado 3.
The video was originally posted by YouTube user 1ArmStarfish who said he and his brother were simply enjoying a quiet day at the beach in Destin, FL when they noticed a shark struggling near the shoreline.
One of the brothers, realizing the sharks injuries, swam out to help the poor critter, while the other brother shouted, “dude, I’m going to grab the camera. We’re about to get so many hits on YouTube.” (Just kidding this isn’t what happened…but with over a million views in one week, it’s an educated guess that this thought may have ran through the single-armed echinoderm’s head).
The other brother then grabbed the shark by the tail and wrestled the 10-foot fish to shallow water. Along with a crowd of curious bystanders, they removed multiple fishing hooks from the sharks mouth, which were also tangled up with fishing line. (Meanwhile, the shark was all like, “yo, stop messing with my new piercings”).
The heroic display took less than a few minutes and one of those brothers now gets to tell every girl he meets in a bar, “hey babe, wanna see a video of me wrestling and saving a hammerhead with my bare hands?” Likewise, the other gets to brag, “yeah, well, I remembered to grab the camera.”
Watch all the macho, brotherly heroism below:
