Don’t you hate it when you go to a wedding and nobody has the courage to stand up and dance?
Well, the exact opposite happened at the wedding of pro-dancers Michael O’Meara and Nikki Mac Loone. The two were former “Riverdance” pros and probably met after Michael danced his way right into Nikki’s heart. Being dancers themselves, they had equally talented friends, because as soon as the music started playing, an Irish jig began. Of course, it didn’t take long for a significant amount of guests to join in, each of whom are incredibly talented dancers too.
Next, the bride and groom themselves began dancing and the wedding turned into an impromptu “Riverdance flashmob.”The groom’s brother, JP O’Meara posted a video of the performance — titled “Lord and Lady of the Dance” — to Facebook and it has since it’s been shared thousands of times. Before the couple had tied the knot (and also thread the needle) they had worked together for a dance troupe called “Lord Of The Dance.” It turns out many of their guests still remembered all the moves. I know now that if I ever get invited to an Irish wedding, I’m definitely accepting the invite. It looks like a blast to me!
