9 Reasons Why You Should Always Workout In The Morning

Anyone who has skipped their morning workout, and promised themselves that they would do it later, knows all too well that later turns into never.

For this reason alone, in addition to many others, working out in the am has a ton of perks. Here are LifeDaily’s 9 Reasons Why You Should Workout In The AM:

1. You can accomplish absolutely nothing else the rest of the day and still feel accomplished

An am workout is a pretty nice feat, especially because it is not to easy to wake up extra early, and hop out of bed onto a treadmill, the gym, or do a workout dvd at home. We are all tempted to hit the snooze button many times before we actually get up, and I’m going to encourage you to avoid doing that, because if you get your am workout in, I promise you, you will feel like a million bucks!

2. You will want to eat healthy food afterwards and probably for the remainder of the day

You usually feel so good at the end of your workout, that you only want to refuel with good food. Even as the day goes on, you will find yourself more likely to healthier. You worked too hard during your am workout to ruin it by eating poorly, and you don’t even desire bad foods as much. While you may be hungrier, it’s only because your metabolism is speeding up.

3. You’ll have nothing to dread the rest of the day

Things only get better after you’ve worked out like an animal, and any annoyances you might deal with at work, won’t be as annoying anymore. Your am workout was probably the most physically difficult thing you’ll do all day, therefore there’s nothing worse to dread. Your workout will be done with, and it will be out of sight and out of mind- all that will be left is positive, and good feelings.

4. You’ll look better

Plain and simple, you will look better. You’ll be in better shape- your body will look better, your skin- everything. Not only will you feel amazing, but you will notice a difference in your body, even though it will take time and be gradual.

5. Your skin will naturally glow

Ever notice that after you workout, you feel flushed and healthy? I don’t know about you, but there’s no better way to walk into work than this. Your natural flush will make you vibrant, and you will radiate from the inside out.

6. You will burn more fat

A recent study suggests that you can burn up to 20 percent more body fat by exercising in the morning before your first meal. If you get a meal in early before you sit down at your desk, you will jump-start your metabolism which will keep your appetite under wraps for the rest of the day.

7. You’ll be more focused 

Your chances of getting distracted first thing in the morning are way lower than towards the middle of the day, and it’s a lot easier to focus on your workout when you are not being emailed and texted every five seconds.

8. Your social life will peak

You won’t be missing a beat after work when colleagues or friends ask you to go and grab drinks. Your workout will be completed, so you will be ready for any socializing that the day may bring. Your friends certainly won’t be bothering you to grab drinks at the crack of dawn during your workout, so you won’t be missing anything then.

9. You will feel great 

You’ll start your day in an awesome mood, even if you wake up on the wrong side of the bed. A morning workout will boost your endorphins, and will help you to feel great for the rest of the day.
