Airport security has been found to be a greater source of peer pressure than a frat bro during welcome week.
At least, that’s what one Chinese woman might tell you (providing she knows a detailed account of the prevalent drinking culture on college campuses in the United States). The woman, who is said to be about 40, tried to take a bottle of Remy Martin XO Excellence on board an internal flight from Beijing to Wenzhou.
As you have probably learned from flying however, no matter how badly you need the alcohol to get through the flight, you can’t take it with you if it’s over 100ml. The 700ml bottle of cognac was well over the limit.
The alternative: knock it back
In case you aren’t aware (and you should be, because you read the headline), a bottle of Remy Martin XO Excellence is a pricey bottle of booze. This woman was not about to let it go to waste. Yes, she could have stowed it away by checking the fancy bottle in her luggage, but instead she nursed that thing like she was newborn baby.

Sources say she then rolled around on the floor, too drunk to walk or even stand. So, not only did she give up her fancy bottle of cognac, she also missed her flight due to intoxication, and was carried away by airport security. Worst of all, she forfeited the enjoyment of a classy bottle of alcohol.
Surely, she couldn’t have enjoyed it while chugging in line at an airport security checkpoint.
