This Might Be The Easiest Weight Loss Trick Out There

You’ve heard it before but I’ll say it again just in case you missed it: drink more water.

If you’re trying to lose weight, chances are you’ve already cut out sugary drinks from your meals. The extra calories and processed garbage is bad for your body in a lot of ways. However, a recent study from the University of Birmingham in England has found that drinking 16oz of water before a meal helps reduce your appetite.

In a highly scientific study, the researchers had participants either drink 16oz before each meal. Meanwhile, another group, the control group, simply imagined the feeling of being full (yes, this study was pretty high-tech).

Twelve weeks later…

The researchers found that those who drank water before the meal were 95 percent more effective at losing weight than those who did not drink water and simply imagined being full.

The researchers assumed the weight loss was due to decreased caloric intake resulting from feelings of fullness. Basically, the water sits in your gut and makes you eat less (which we’ve heard eating less is helpful when dieting).

It’s arguable that the study wasn’t extensive enough and there could have been a placebo effect from the participants simply taking part in the study, but even so, drinking more water really can’t hurt you.

Worse case scenario, your skin gets clearer and you develop a certain glow in your appearance and your personality. Personally, I’ve been trying this trick for the past three months and my skin has never been clearer (also, I’ve never peed more in my life).
