Most people will never see upwards of $2 million in their life, let alone be able to spend it on a wedding.
We at LifeDaily wanted to share in the wedding extravagance of the rich and famous, so we looked into the most over-the-top celebrity weddings of all time.
Here are the Top 10 and what made them so special:

10. Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, “Kimye Wedding”: May 24, 2014
The couple reportedly spent $2.8 million, not including the week they spent with their guests in Paris. This European affair kicked off in Paris before the entire clan flew to Florence, Italy for the actual ceremony, which took place at the famed Belvedore Fort. Guests included Andre Leon Talley, Tyga, Big Sean and John Legend. Kim wore a custom Givenchy gown designed by the couple’s bestie Riccardo Tisci, and later a Balmain party dress designed by Olivier Rousteing.

9. Salma Hayek and Francois-Henri Pinault: April 25, 2009
The actress married the French billionaire at the La Fenice Theater in Venice, Italy for $3.5 million. This was actually their second wedding, their first was a simple civil ceremony two months prior. Guests of this seemingly royal wedding included Charlize Theron, and Penelope Cruz, and all guests enjoyed a carnival themed ball, a 14-piece band, and a reception performance by U2’s Bono. Salma of course wore Balenciaga- one of her husbands brands.

8. Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes: November 18, 2006
This wedding cost the couple $3.5 million, and was held in Odescalchi Castle in Bracciano, Italy. The extravagant wedding lasted for three days in nearby Rome, with celebrity guests including J. Lo and Mark Anthony, and Jada and Will Smith. The reception featured fireworks, Andrea Bocelli singing love songs, a five-tiered wedding cake, 300 bottles of fine wine and champagne, and a castle hall converted into a nightclub for dancing. Unfortunately for this couple, the party soon ended- Tom and Katie divorced in 2012.

7. Liza Minnelli and David Gest: March 16, 2002
The cartoonish couple wed at Marble Collegiate Church in New York City for $4.2 million. The best man was Michael Jackson, and maid of honor Elizabeth Taylor. One thousand guests looked on, and enjoyed high-powered performances by Tony Bennett, Stevie Wonder, and Natalie Cole, as well as a 60-piece orchestra. Guests at the hotel reception toasted the couple with vintage wines and received boxes filled with parting gifts. Unfortunately, Liza and David had a nasty split a year later and divorced in 2007.
6. Paul McCartney and Heather Mills: June 11, 2002
Paul married his second wife Heather at the secluded Castle Leslie in Ireland, costing the couple $4.2 million. The 300 person guest list included Ringo Starr, Elton John and Eric Clapton, and the reception featured dancers in authentic Indian dress. The guests dined on a vegetarian feast, and then rode on a yacht to enjoy some fireworks. Unfortunately, this couple didn’t last, and Sir Paul wound up spending more money on the divorce. Yikes!

5. Chelsea Clinton and Marc Mezvinsky: July 31, 2010
This wedding cost the former First Daughter and her investment banker beau about $4.8 million. They married at an estate in Rhinebeck, New York, where security was reportedly the biggest cost. The couple held the reception in air conditioned tents, and enjoyed an $11,000 wedding cake. Chelsea wore a gorgeous dress by Vera Wang, and sported expensive bling for this summer wedding.

4. Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel: October 19, 2012
This popstar and actress tied the knot in Puglia Italy for a reported $6.5 million. This included a week of festivities for their wedding guests, including bike rides, parties and a fireworks show. They also booked an entire hotel, and closed down adjacent buildings to keep the paparazzi at bay. As soon as the couple said “I do,” thousands of white hearts were fired into the air. At the reception Jessica danced the night away in her frothy pink wedding gown by Giambattista Valli.

3. Michael Jordan and Yvette Prieto: April 27, 2013
This basketball star, and his model girlfriend, reportedly had the most expensive non-royal wedding ever costing $10 million. The two married at Episcopal Church of Bethesda-by-the-Sea in Palm Beach, Florida, with more than 300 guests in attendance, some of which included Tiger Woods, Scottie Pippen, Patrick Ewing and Spike Lee. Usher and Robin Thicke performed at the reception, and the bride wore a J’Aton Couture gown with Swarovski crystals.

2. Prince William and Kate Middleton, “The Royal Wedding”: April 29, 2011
This Royal Wedding came with a $34 million price tag. Over 180 countries watched as Kate walked down the isle to marry her Prince. The wedding took place at London’s Westminster Abbey. Kate’s wedding dress was designed by Sarah Burton, the creative director of Alexander McQueen and reportedly cost $70,000. The flowers rang in at $800,000; and the eight-tiered wedding fruit cake with white icing and 900 sugar paste flowers cost $80,000. If you had a chance to watch this royal wedding, you will know it was fit for a Prince and Princess; Even Kim and Kanye would be jealous.

1. Prince Charles and Lady Diana, “The Wedding of the Century”: July 29, 1981
Prince William’s parents were the only ones that could outdo his wedding. As the most over top wedding of all time, these royal nuptials came to a whopping $48 (with inflation, it is said that the wedding would now have equaled $115 million). This wedding of the century took place at St. Paul’s Cathedral in London, England, with a reception to follow for 120 close family and friends at Buckingham Palace. The congregation was watched by over 750 million people on television, and 3,500 people attended. The couple had 27 wedding cakes, and Princess Diana wore an Elizabeth and David Emanuel gown, with a 25-foot train, and paired it with her family’s heirloom Spencer tiara.
