A lonely bear cub wandered into a Colorado Springs pizzeria Monday afternoon for a much needed snooze.
It was Monday, so it made total sense- this bear must have had a case of the ‘Monday blues.’
There’s no word on where the bear came from, but this adorable cub was first spotted wondering around Palmer High School, where the bear’s presence almost caused the school to go on lockdown.
After authorities realized the bear posed no threat to the students, she made her way down to Louie’s Pizza, probably following the delicious scent of cheese and tomato sauce.

One of the pizzeria’s employees named Sawyer Janney told The Colorado Springs Gazette that she was first alerted to the bear’s presence by another employee.
“He just yells ‘bear’ and runs outside.”

By the time Parks & Wildlife officers showed up, the animal was asleep, so they woke it just to tranquilize it and remove it to a rehabilitation facility.

The poor bear had an open wound on one of its paws, which the facility would be treating.
Apparently, there have been a lot of bear sightings in the Colorado area recently, but Park & Wildlife spokesman Matt Robbins said they’ll decline as the weather changes and the animals begin to hibernate.
Let’s hope you don’t find a bear napping in your local pizzeria anytime soon.
