There’s something magical about a bottle washing up on the shore with a message inside.
It holds the treasures of days gone by and whispers the secrets of the past into the hands that hold it. That’s exactly what Clint Buffington of Utah discovered when he was vacationing on the beautiful beaches of Turks and Caicos.
Buffington was even more shocked when he wrestled the bottle open and found the note inside still in wonderful condition and fairly legible.
According to WMUR-TV, inside was a piece of paper that stated, “return to 419 Ocean Blvd. and receive a reward of $150 from Tina, owner of the Beachcomber.”
With a little research, Buffington found the Beachcomber was a motel in New Hampshire. It was owned by the parents of Paula Pierce in the 1960s, but those folks have since passed away.
Imagine the shock she must have felt when a man she didn’t know tracked her down and handed her a letter with her father’s handwriting.
Pierce’s father had written the note as a joke and cast it into the Atlantic Ocean 56 years ago. When Buffington found the treasure, he took it upon himself to fly to New Hampshire and personally return the message to Pierce. She made good of what the note promised and provided the reward of $150.
Can you imagine the joy Pierce must have felt when she saw her father’s note so many years later? Tell us your thoughts in the comments and please SHARE with friends and family.

When a Detroit family moved from their home, they didn’t bother to take the most important commodity with them; the family dog.
It’s so hard to think that somebody could just leave a loving animal behind, but that’s what happened to poor Boo. A heartbreaking photo has been hurting hearts on social media, showing Boo patiently waiting for his owners to return home and love him again.
Mike Diesel of Detroit Youth & Dog Rescue found Boo laying down alone outside on a mattress next to a pile of trash. He patiently sat like this for more than a month.
Neighbor say his family, “came back one time, took the belongings that they chose to keep. Unfortunately, that wasn’t Boo.”
Lucky for Boo, the neighbors stepped up to feed the dog and spread the word that he was in need of a loving home. With time, Mike and his rescue organization found Boo and took on that necessary role. It wasn’t an easy road, however. Simply gaining the dog’s trust took Mike more than 15 hours. However, once Boo trusted Mike, it became a fast road of love and recovery.
“Dogs are the most loyal,” Mike said. “If we can get humans to be anywhere close to that level of compassion then we would have a much better world.”
Mike was the one who gave Boo his name after her brought the pit bull mix to Groesbeck Animal Hospital. He said from a certain angle, the markings on the dog form an outline of the word, ‘BOO.’
Boo with be cared for by vets for the next 30 days. Then, he will hopefully have a loving foster family to take him in. If you are interested, please contact Detroit Youth & Dog Rescue.
And if you can’t take Boo in, please SHARE this story and spread the word about the happy dog, his inspiring loyalty, and the loving home he needs.
Winston Churchill once said, “courage is what it takes to stand up and speak; courage is also what it takes to sit down and listen.”
For Wilma Price, courage came in the form of the latter, when she walked past a homeless man as she exited Walmart in Huntsville, Texas. The man was holding a sign that said, “Dog in pound. Need help.”
With just $8 in her pocket, she kept walking, but then something made her stop and turn around. “I looked at him and I couldn’t get over it,” Price told CBS News. “He looked like a little boy standing there lost.”
Price sat down and listened to the homeless man, and learned quite a bit. His name was Patrick and he had lost his beloved dog a few days earlier when he was arrested for trespassing. Patrick spent two days in jail, while his dog, Franklin, ended up in the pound and was labeled as a stray.
Even worse, the pound was asking for $120 to cover the time spent in the pound and an update on vaccines. Patrick didn’t have the money to get his dog out of the pound, but he also wasn’t about to give up on Franklin.
Inspired by Patrick’s love for his dog, Price decided to do something about it. She called up a friend from who she borrowed the money and went with Patrick to retrieve his dog. When the two were reunited, it was a moment of bliss for both the dog and Patrick.
When Ivy Diep found Popeye, a homeless dog, all alone on a busy street, her heart sank.
“I found him as a stray,” Ivy said in an interview with Bored Panda. “He was such a mess – super skinny, heavily matted, dirty.” The last thing Diep ever thought was that she would wind up adopting Popeye, since she already had other dogs at home. Yet, it was apparent that Popeye was in need of love and Diep didn’t have it in her heart to deny him that. So Diep brought Popeye home and says, “It wasn’t long before he made himself at home at my place with my other dogs. And of course, my husband and I fell in love [with him].”
Diep’s friends thought Popeye was too cute for words and one of them suggested she create an Instagram account for him.
“One of my friends, Jen, suggested that I create an Instagram account for Popeye because he was cute. Jen and I liked to go on what we call ‘Instagram dates’ and take pics of our food,” she said.
“I’d bring Popeye anytime I can, and we realized he was really good around food. He doesn’t lunge for food or really even care for it. He just liked to be out. He’ll get nibbles of anything that’s safe for him. I also carry a bag of treats for him, in case there’s nothing he can have,” Diep told Bored Panda.
Since Popeye was so well-behaved, anytime Diep took him out and treated him to a gourmet meal, she dressed him up in adorable outfits and started taking pictures.
People love his photos so much that Popeye currently has over 122,000 followers on Instagram, and he dines at the best spots in town, making us humans envious.
A woman who has suffered an unheard of 16 miscarriages, suddenly lost her 15-month-old to an unexpected case of meningitis that took only six hours to kill her daughter.
Now, the distraught mom is speaking out about the severity and rapid progression of the disease. This past April, Fleur-Rose, daughter of Lizzie Allen, awoke upset and with a temperature at her home in Bridgnorth, Shropshire, UK. Just days earlier, the toddler was happy, healthy, and taking her first steps.
“At 1pm on the day we lost her, she was sat on her daddy Matt’s knee, grinning away. By 6pm she was taken to the hospital’s resuscitation department. At 11.04pm she was dead.”
Around the middle of the day, Fleur-Rose began, but doctors who were closely monitoring her oxygen levels, said all was fine. They performed X-Rays on her chest, took samples, poked and prodded: all was fine according to doctors.
It was only at the end of the day that the first sign of a slight rash appeared on Fleur-Rose’s neck. “I just shouted to Matt, ‘Go and get a nurse.’ But moments later it had gone and there were only tiny pinprick marks.”
Around 5:30, doctors took the little girl into a side room to get samples of her waters. They then decided to test for Meningitis, which terrified Lizzie. It was the first time the disease had been mentioned all day, but it was a quick decline of deterioration afterward. Neither the doctors, nor her frantic parents, could do anything to prevent the worst from happening.
Now, the mom wants parents everywhere to know the symptoms and be aware of just how severe Meningitis can be. Babies with meningitis experience fever, refusing to eat, fretfulness, difficulty waking, skin rash and bruising high-pitched crying, pale and blotchy skin. Learn more from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention here.
Do you know the symptoms and how to react if the worst happens?
Make sure you SHARE this story and spread the word about the dangers of Meningitis.
One Michigan groom’s bachelor party was hijacked in the best possible way when a dog showed up and stole everyone’s hearts.
When Mitchel Craddock of Vicksburg, Michigan was celebrating his final few days as a single man with his friends in the woods, he was shocked by one uninvited guest. Craddock explains to ABC News that he was cooking bacon with the door open, when “the next thing you know, there’s this dog sitting right at the front door. She wouldn’t come inside, but she sat right there,” he said.
With no idea where she came from, the group of guys named the unidentified stray Annie. “We figured she is such a sweet dog she’s got to have a home, so she will eventually go somewhere,” Craddock told West Michigan news. Yet, without a collar, leash or anyone around, it was clear Annie needed help in the big, scary forest. “She was very dehydrated, hungry, I mean everything we gave her and out in front of her she gobbled up as fast as she could,” said Craddock.
The guys found it strange that every so often, Annie would leave them and take off barking and go to one spot outside the camp before returning again. “We connected the dots, we put everything together and we found a giant hole in the ground. So one of my friends went in head first, we found these puppies we started pulling them out,” Craddock said.
The guys were able to rescue all seven puppies who they named Bear, Knox, Daisy, Gunner, Brimmy, Rose, and Finn.
“Well, we’re washing our puppies, because they had all come out of a hole and they were all dirty, so there was a group of rough men going down to go four-wheeling, but instead they are inside washing puppies,” Craddock told Michigan news.
Each puppy was treated by a veterinarian and while they were once destined to go hungry in the woods, they now all have a forever home to go to!

For a new mom-to-be, there isn’t much more terrifying than unexpectedly going into labor a lot earlier than the baby’s due date.
Luckily for 29-year-old mom, Rhiannon Shades of Bedford, England, quick-thinking doctors came up with a genius solution to save her daughter’s life after she was born very prematurely.
Earlier this year, Shades gave birth at just 24 weeks to tiny baby girl Emily, who was born naturally, still inside her amniotic sac. Worried that she may not survive, doctors decided to place the pint-sized preemie inside a plastic sandwich baggie to keep her warm and safe.
“She was placed into a tiny plastic bag to keep her warm as her skin was so thin she couldn’t stabilize her own temperature”, the mom told Express.
Her baby girl was just 1.2 pounds when she arrived three months early. “I couldn’t even comprehend how small she was, it wasn’t until she was placed in my arms that I realized the seriousness of the situation,” Rhiannon Shades told Express. “She was such a little fighter and even tried to breathe on her own as soon as she was born.”
With help from her boyfriend, Fane Henderson, 30, Shades started a blog to help other parents in the same situation and to help themselves get through the difficult first days of Emily’s life, when they were unsure whether their baby would survive.
Rhiannon’s 4-year-old daughter Alexandra gave her baby sister a teddy bear not much bigger than the baby to keep Emily safe in her incubator.
On her blog, the mom wrote that her daughter started breathing on her own after a few days without a ventilator and things slowly got better from there.
“It was a rollercoaster of emotions from that moment, there were worries over her weight gain, she only weighed 560 grams and she also needed eight blood transfusions to stay alive,” she told Express. “She had a stomach infection at 36 weeks and that was a massive step back also.
For five weeks, the mom spent every day with her baby in the NICU thanks to the wonderful charity Sick Children’s Trust.
“And although it was awful being torn from Fane and Alexandra, I always stayed positive that we would be reunited as a family in the near future.” Finally, after about three and a half months in the hospital, Emily was finally able to survive without oxygen or a feeding tube and would finally get to go home.
“She now weighs 5lbs 7oz and even though she’s still tiny, she’s huge compared to when we first met her in July,” Shades said.
“When we were in the hospital, we compared her to the size of a toy teddy bear from her sister, and she was the same size, but now she is much bigger.”
Please pray for baby Emily and SHARE this brave family’s story to help others online.

Do you ever hear those stories about women who had no idea they were pregnant until their nine months pregnant and start having contractions, and wonder how anyone can make such a mistake?
If so, you are far from alone. Even Stephanie and Michael Jaegers of Locust Grove, GA found themselves joking about surprise babies before the couple found themselves in the same situation earlier this month.
“I was having these waves of cramping, that’s the best way I can explain it, and lower back pain. And anybody that I had talked to said it was kidney stones,” Stephanie told Fox 5 Atlanta in the video below. “I was pretty much in shock,” the new mom told CNN.
Michael helped rush his wife to the hospital, where they soon got the surprise of a lifetime. “I went from googling “kidney stone treatments” to a panic attack over the fact that not only were we pregnant, but the baby was coming within the hour,” Michael Jaegers wrote on his Facebook page. “Most parents have a good 9+ months to plan for such a blessing, we had 30 minutes’ notice.”
However, the surprised parents’ worries turned to sheer joy when baby Shaun Jude Jaegers was miraculously born happy and healthy. “At that point all the fear went away, and you’re thinking this is how it was meant to be. This is right,” Stephanie told CNN.
Although their new addition took the couple completely by surprise, the happy parents say in the video below that they believe everything happens for a reason.
“He wasn’t in the cards, he wasn’t in the plans, but he’s meant to be here…” Stephanie says in the following video. “Maybe one day I’ll understand. He’s a sweetheart; I’m glad he’s here. I wouldn’t change it for anything.”
The new mom said she also learned a very big lesson. “I’ll be less quick to judge the next time because it can happen.”

When Celeste and Morné Nurse gave birth to their first child in the April of 1997, they believed that they had been given a true gift from God.
Yet, before the young mother even had a chance to recover from the difficult birth, she was gripped by a terror and sorrow from which she would never recover. Someone had stolen her baby from right next to her in the hospital. And baby Zephany, as she was called, would remain lost for almost two decades…
Illinois couple Heather Krueger and Chris Dempsey are truly a match made in heaven.
They also have a pretty wonderful story about how they met to tell their grandkids someday! The compatible couple got together back in 2014, after Dempsey donated a portion of his liver to Krueger, whose life was hanging by a thread. LifeDaily brought you the story earlier this year and now the lovely couple has finally tied the knot.
It all began when Krueger was diagnosed with stage 4 liver disease in March 2014. The outcome was looking bleak for the young woman and doctors said she had less than a 50 percent chance of living more than two months, according to ABC News.
At this time, Dempsey heard about the then stranger’s story through his co-worker, who happened to be Heather’s cousin and was sharing the medical dilemma. When Chris heard about the tragedy the family was going through, he didn’t hesitate to get involved.
“I spent four years in the Marine Corps and learned there never to run away from anything. So I just said to myself, ‘Hey, if I can help, I’m going to help,'” he told CBS.
Soon Chris was taking the necessary tests to see if he was a viable candidate to donate a portion of his liver, and lucky for Heather, he was! The two met for lunch and discussed the donation. After, Dempsey said he had quite a bit to think through, but ultimately decided to go through with it.
After the surgery and recovery process, Dempsey had fallen for Kreuger. “He had told me at the beginning of everything, ‘You owe me absolutely nothing for this. We can go our separate ways if that’s what you want,'” Krueger told Today. “It was kind of like, we do have this special bond, but is this just because I’m sick that I’m feeling this way? You had to kind of separate that, but after the surgery, I realized it went beyond that.”
“It was kind of like, we do have this special bond, but is this just because I’m sick that I’m feeling this way? You had to kind of separate that, but after the surgery, I realized it went beyond that.”
Earlier this month, the happy couple married with their former doctors and medical staff present. The cousin that brought the two together served as a groomsman and there wasn’t a dry eye in the place.
The moral of this story is that you should always go out of your way to do something kind for somebody else, because you never know when you’re saving the life of your soulmate.

When Kelly Bossley dropped her daughter off at preschool last week, she knew the other children would be staring at her.
Two-year-old Lydia was born with a port-wine stain birthmark on her cheek and had recently undergone laser treatment, which caused the color to flare up. When Lydia walked into school her preschool, the other toddlers couldn’t help but wonder what was on her face. “The kids weren’t being mean, but were just curious and worried about her,” Bossley explained.
Bossley was a little anxious to leave Lydia for the day, but she knew that even at 2, Lydia was a strong girl. And Lydia ended up making her mom very proud when she walked right to her cubby, took out her favorite book, Sam’s Birthmark, and gave it to her teacher to read to the class.
The book is about a young boy who also has a port-wine birthmark, and it aims to teach children to embrace other’s differences.
Bossley explained the incident on Love What Matters’ Facebook page, and said, “She isn’t even 3 yet but her resilience and ability to self-care blows me away. I cried nearly the entire way to work – not because I worry how her peers will treat her in the years to come but because I know this girl is gonna do big things!”
Bossley and her husband, Trent, have taught Lydia and her twin brother Nolan to explain the birthmark to people who may be curious and believes this is what has given her kids the confidence to speak up for themselves, even at such a young age.
The mom explained that all kids haven’t been so nice and Lydia has been called “Purple Face,” but she says her daughter is “tough as nails, and is going to be OK no matter what.”
The best part about this story is that it is bringing attention to vascular birthmarks, Bossley says, “more awareness leads to greater acceptance, so it is my hope that Lydia’s story might help make things a little easier for others with physical differences.”
Martha Wardlaw Griffin, the author of Sam’s Birthmark heard Lydia’s story and commented on the post, “When I see posts like [this] I tear up!”
“There was not a positive message children’s book where the child character had a birthmark, so we wrote one. Connecting with birthmark parents from around the world has been truly amazing!”

When an 8-year-old girl decided to play hooky from school, her mom taught her an unforgettable lesson… and ended up learning one herself!
According to reports, Malaysian cops found the little girl chained to a lamppost by her own mother in an attempt to teach her a lesson about missing school. The mortified child stood shackled to the metal post outside her family’s apartment in Kuala Lumpur.
Bystanders gawked at the young child, but were unable to free the poor girl, who remained stuck for over an hour, until cops arrived. The poor child was left in tears by the traumatic, sucking on her thumb.
An onlooker told cops that the girl’s mother was about 30 years old and chained her to the lampost for missing Mandarin classes. “There is such a thing as tough love but this is taking it too far,” an onlooker told the Mirror UK.
“The girl was quite clearly upset and didn’t know what to do. She was sucking her thumb and had tears in her eyes. We reported it to police and we hope that they look into the family further to make sure that the girl is not harmed again.” When the mother finally returned 10 minutes later, she released the child and was taken to the police station for questioning.
“We established that it was the first time the girl was chained,” Assistant Police Commissioner Mohammad Azlin Sadari told the Daily Mail. “It was decided to let the mother go home with her daughter, warning her not to do it again.”
Can you believe a mother did this to her child?

The home of the Whopper decided to get in the Halloween Spirit a little early this year with a pretty epic costume.
A Burger King in Rego Park, NY covered the storefront in a white sheet and spray painted ‘McDonald’s’ across it, dressing up as their competition, because…why not?
They cut holes for the eyes and even had a few special smoke effects from the looks of the photos. However, the hilarious fast food chain managers didn’t stop there. They obviously took the opportunity throw just a hint of shade toward their competition with a sign that read, “BOOOOO! Just kidding, we still flame grill our burgers. Happy Halloween!”
The fast food chain even had McDonald’s food containers that obviously contained their own product inside. But while some may think the idea is silly, their publicity stunt actually worked!
Social media has been blowing up with humor over the jab with both Facebook and Twitter users responding with chuckles. It looks like McDonald’s PR team is going to be pulling overtime this weekend trying to reciprocate with just a couple of days until Halloween.
Whatever McDonald’s decides to do, we will be watching… and hopefully laughing… along with them

Among the many heroes that bravely serve our country, there are only a few we hear about. Perhaps some of the most easily forgotten are the service dogs that travel far and wide, assisting our troops.
They don’t sign up for that position and they don’t ask to serve. Instead, these fiercely loyal dogs happily carry out their duties without complaint for as long as they are needed. After their tours end, these heroes are always put up for adoption, and while the soldiers they served with have priority in adopting them, figuring out the logistics and moving the dogs to the right homes can be costly and timely for soldiers who just want to readapt to their lives at home.
For that exact reason, Molly Oliver, a hero of a different kind, covers the costs of reuniting military dogs with the soldiers whose side they stood by. These soldiers and dogs formed special bonds during their deployments and their joy at being reunited is Oliver’s ultimate fulfillment.
Take a look at the video below to see the emotional reunion between a retired soldier and Tay Tay, his heroic Labrador, who saved lives during her tours in Afghanistan. Their reunion would not have been possible without Molly’s dedication to her work.
And don’t forget to SHARE this inspiring video with friends and family to thank our amazing servicemen, women, and canine compadres.
Since the Cold War ended in 1991, relations between Russia and the rest of the world have been, for the most part, peaceful.
Today, however, the world as we know it teeters on the brink of open conflict, as nations battle politically over the continued demand for natural resources. The battlefield and the weapons may have changed, but the conflict seems reminiscent of a very Cold time in human history…
There’s not much more challenging than standing before a crowd and belting out a song while an audience sits quietly and watches.
Unless, of course, you’re standing before that crowd while you paint a patriotic scene for a crowd of hockey fans as fast as humanly possible. But that’s exactly what Greenville, South Carolina artist Joe Everson did in a recent viral video. The talented man gave a performance that did not disappoint. He rang out the national anthem before a hockey game in Toledo, Ohio and he didn’t miss a single beat, not in the song, nor in the painting.
The talented man gave a dual performance that definitely did not disappoint. He rang out the national anthem before a hockey game in Toledo, Ohio and he didn’t miss a single beat, not in the song, nor in the painting.
Everson is a photographer, artist, vocalist, musician, and self-proclaimed renaissance man, which we have to agree with. According to his website, he photographs beauty and paints with passion.
In his bio, he also tells his audience, “you could literally hire Joe to shoot your wedding, create an oil painting of the venue, sing a solo during the ceremony, and play piano during the reception. Ok, maybe not literally. He’d be stretched thin. But almost.”
He doesn’t seem to be stretched thin in this video, however. The jack of all trades is a sensation on ice, when he pulls off this incredible act.

Fifteen-year-old Roy Stuart lived with his grandmother Brenda in a South Oak Cliff Apartment complex and had dreams of playing football professionally.
However, last week, his dreams were cut short when an unknown assailant shot him in the head in cold blood. Sadly, the high school freshman was the latest in a tragic list of 146 murders in Dallas in the past year, a statistic that is up 25 percent since last year.
While the motive of the killer is unknown, we do know that Stuart was killed while his sweet grandmother Brenda was at the grocery store.
Brenda adopted her grandson when he was just an infant since his parents were in and out of prison and unable to care for him. Brenda showed WFAA Dallas a photo of Stuart, saying, “This is when I brought him home. When I tell you perfect, he was a perfect baby. That was my heart.”
“Somebody asked me, ‘How is your baby doing?’” she recalled. “‘I guess he’s doing all right. What’s supposed to be wrong with him?’ [Then] she said, ‘I heard he got shot.’” Brenda dropped her groceries and ran to Roy’s side at the hospital, where he was placed on life support. Roy remained on life support for three days, until his family made the difficult decision to take him off.
That was the moment when Roy became a hero for four family desperately awaiting life-saving organ transplants. Roy’s family donated his liver, lungs, kidney and heart to others in need. “He has a good heart, and it will live on in somebody else,” a heartbroken Brenda told WFAA. “He was always trying to help somebody when he was alive, and now that he’s gone, he’s still helping people.”
Roy now lives on in the four people he saved, but his memory will live on in his grandmother’s and loved ones’ hearts forever.

When it comes to tiny bugs that creep and crawl, ladybugs tend to be on the more delightful end of the spectrum, but as we learned this week from a viral post, that is definitely not always the case.
Hoisington, Kansas veterinarian Dr. Lindsay Mitchell caused a stir on Facebook when she posted a graphic photo of a dog with a mouthful of Asian Lady Beetles living on the roof of his mouth.
“This is the second pup I have seen like this today. If your pet is drooling or foaming at the mouth look for these lady bugs. They cause ulcers on the tongue and mouth and have a very painful bite,” the vet wrote on the Hoisington Veterinary Hospital Facebook page.
The dog’s frightened owner Frances Jiriks, told KAKE Wichita, “Night before last when he came in to eat, he didn’t eat. He was just lethargic and foaming at the mouth.” At the vet it was discovered he had about 40 of the bugs biting in his mouth.
Although the Asian Lady Beetle is quite rare, they have been swarming in Baron County, Kansas and the vet told Great Bend Tribune that she’d never seen anything like this in the two dogs and had to research what was happening.
The orange bugs are different from their reddish cousins, as they emit a foul smell and yellow secretion when squished. They are also aggressive and bite, unlike normal ladybugs. Mitchell said the bugs could create long term problems if left untreated.
“I posted the photo not to freak people out, but to provide pet owners with an action to take in case they find one of their pets drooling excessively or with apparent foaming at the mouth,” Mitchell told the newspaper.
“They could avoid a trip to the veterinarian’s office if they check their pet’s mouth, and if they find the beetles, they can simply remove them with their finger or a tongue depressor,” the vet said. She also reminded dog owners to get their pets checked out if they are worried.
“They aren’t like a tick, so there is no worry that a head or any part of the animal will be left behind to hurt the animal further.”
As wonderful as our world is, it can also sometimes be a cruel, cold place…just ask the elementary school children who were denied lunch over an unpaid bill.
Orange County, California mom Vanessa Torres’ two sons racked up an unpaid lunch bill of $24.40. Yet, when her kids got to the front of the line last week, the lunch lady denied them service until all bills were resolved.
The children say their main entrées had been taken off of their plates, leaving them with milk, vegetables and fruit. They each gave their mother a note from the Taft Elementary School cafeteria as a response.
“It’s absurd,” Torres said in an interview. “I mean, how can you do that? That could have easily been your child, your grandchild, your niece, your nephew. You don’t do that to a child.”
Torres said the boys had transferred from another district where they received free lunches, adding that she sent the boys to school with cash, but it was never taken by the teachers. Torres said she’s upset about the situation because of how it was handled.
The school should have responded differently, according to Torres. School officials should have contacted her she said in an account of the incident online, where it has since gone viral and was shared.
The Orange Unified School District described the incident as a mistake and released a statement:
“Nutrition Services staff apologized to the parent as soon as they became aware of the situation. The employee who was working the lunch line has been provided training to make sure that this doesn’t happen again. It is not our policy to ever deny a child lunch, even if their account is temporarily outstanding.”
Torres said she hopes “it never happens again, because no child should ever be left without eating anything at school.”
