While it is unfortunate that dogs that are abused wind up in shelters, a shelter is better than living an abuser’s home.
This poor dog who was being abused in his owners home, was brought to a shelter where he could be safe. Unlike the other dogs who were playing, and being social with one another, this poor beagle sat in the corner facing the wall, isolated from everyone.
It was obvious that he had been through a lot, and was broken down.
Unfortunately, these kind of dogs are usually not paid as much attention in most shelters, and most people don’t adopt them.
This man however wanted to adopt this poor beagle, who he later named Noodles!
Noodles was brought back to the owners home, ready to start a new life, with a new dog friend by his side named Weezie.
This beautiful video of Noodles can be viewed below, and it further encourages us to adopt dogs in need in shelters, and give them a new home and a fresh start.
Imagine if you were able to ask your pet any question you wanted, and actually get the answer.

In the future we will be able to augment our senses with touch, taste and smell being enabled through the internet.
Imagine in ten years from now being able to pick a restaurant that you’re interested in, choose a dish from their online menu, and have the scent of that dish emitted directly through your computer. Then via another device, you will taste a sample of the food.
Imagine also for devices to enable shoppers to feel the fabric on a couch without setting foot inside a showroom.
Pretty cool, right? While intriguing, these ideas seems pretty far-fetched.
But wait a minute.. our cars are in production to soon be fully autonomous, and be able to drive themselves, so why would we discount the possibility of our electronics being able to engage our senses of touch, taste and smell?
Not only that, but a man named Adrian David Cheok who is the Professor of Pervasive Computing at City University London has already invented a device called “Scentee” that permits users to have the sense of smell. Scentee plugs into a smartphone and can spray tiny clouds of fragrances, including flowers, fruits and coffee. Choek says the person speaking can activate the device, enabling 100 different smells to choose from.
How about that for your air freshener in the bathroom, or a nice distraction from the gross odor you’ve been smelling on the subway?
This also enables a sense of touch from a ring-like device that is connected wirelessly to your smartphone. The device sends a soft, electrical squeeze when a person on the other end of a phone conversation does the same.
You can be in New York, and your friend can be in London, but if you squeeze your finger, they’ll get a squeeze on their finger through the internet. It’s a way of touch communication with small mobile devices.
In 2014, Harvard scientists, one being David Edwards, have also successfully transferred their first scent from Paris to New York via an iPhone app called oSnap.
The champagne and passion fruit macaroon-scented message was transferred through this new communication platform, allowing you to take a photo of something and tag it with a few aroma notes (from more than 3,000 scents to choose from). These smells are then transferred via a pipe-like smelling station called an oPhone Duo and are controlled by the iPhone app oSnap.
These devices are truly revolutionary, and scientists hope to continue their research to one day be able to emit those food smells from a chosen menu item online.
A new system is currently in development by San Francisco-based Adamant Technologies, which has figured out a way to digitize our sensory functions, like taste and smell.
While the human nose uses around 400 sensors to fulfill these functions, this system in development will use up to 2,000 sensors, enabling smartphones to have a better sense of smell than people do.
They will be able to detect anything from bad breathe to spoiled leftovers in the fridge.
While we might have to wait for this particular technology to come out, let’s say by 2025, it is cool to know that it is in the works.

It’s possible that a lot of the basic money lessons that have been taught to us in school or by our parents have been forgotten over the years. Maybe we’ve even gotten a reminder of our poor financial choices by the consequences we’ve had to pay for making them.
Whatever the case may be, there are some basic money lessons that are necessary for our financial survival. So LifeDaily has compiled a list of the 7 Basic Money Lessons We Might Have Forgotten:
7. Money represents labor
Money is means to convert the fruits of human labor into paper or coin form. The only way to receive money, besides inheriting it from your family, is to earn it in exchange for your work or service.
The things that you buy with your money represent your labor. So if you are not proud to buy something, then you probably shouldn’t, because it is a direct reflection of all the time and hard work you spent earning it.
6. Spending is not the same as investing
There is a huge difference between spending and investing. You only invest in something that you believe will yield you more money over time; You invest with the expectation of achieving a profit. Spending is “paying out” money for goods or services, in which you will not receive a profit or tangible dividend on it later.
Think of it this way: If the item or service you’re buying will provide some sort of tangible dividend (such as the ability to stay employed, advance in a career, or sell at a profit later), it’s an investment. If not, it’s just money spent.
5. Credit cards are dangerous
Unless you are using a charge card like American Express, any other credit card is equivalent to a loan. The bank is loaning you that money so you can make a purchase right away. You will have to pay it back later however, and with high interest, ranging anywhere from 15-25%.
If you have credit card debt than you have debt. Your debt can be calculated by how much money you owe out to all of your credit cards. Do yourself a favor, and try and keep your credit cards to a minimum.
4. There is a difference between wants and needs
Distinguishing wants from needs is an essential skill. Examples of needs are a roof over your head, food and water, and necessary clothing to remain comfortable and appropriately dressed. Wants are anything that is not a necessity, ex. new clothes every week. While you can make a case for why nearly everything on your “want” list is necessary for survival, it most likely isn’t.
It is hard to not buy things we want, and instead buy things we need, but if we don’t, we can run into a huge amount of financial trouble, and also waste a lot of money.
3. Spend less than you earn
It sounds so simple, yet there are many people out there burying themselves in debt and spending more than they earn, or even living paycheck to paycheck, and spending exactly what they earn.
By spending less than you earn, you eliminate your debts, you begin to save or invest, and your stress level decreases. You are also able to explore new possibilities that may be closed to you if you didn’t spend less than you earned. The last thing you want to do, is be like the man pictured above, with all his money spent and empty pockets.
2. Money gives you choices
Having money gives you more choices, which ultimately translates to more freedom. This freedom begins with the first dollar that you earn.
Money gives you the opportunity to explore options that may have been closed off to you before. The choice is yours though to spend or to save. Most people live unconsciously with their money, as if they don’t know what to do with it. Money gives you the luxury of making life altering choices like switching careers, moving across the country, starting a business, or retiring early.
1. Money can’t buy happiness
None of what I previously mentioned about money giving you choices matters if you have money, and you still feel imprisoned, just as you did when you were young and hungry.
This feeling of imprisonment can be attributed to always “wanting more.” To acquiring something that you “wanted,” gotten it, and then your on to the next better thing. This feeling of always “wanting more” will never lead you to happiness, because it traps you.

A newlywed’s fishing day turned into feeding a sea lion that attached itself to their boat.
This new wife’s name is Rachel, and her husband surprised her with a honeymoon to Mexico.
Enjoying their day at sea, this couple went marlin and dorado fishing and then headed back to shore. They still had some bait fish left in their livewell, and this sea lion took full advantage of that.
He popped himself onto their boat, and looked like he literally was being carried in the water. He looked so relaxed, and the look on his face showed that he was excited to enjoy a meal.
Sea lions actually do love human contact, and the people on board petted the sea lion, and then a bunch of birds joined in!
When the couple didn’t see the sea lion anymore, they thought he disappeared, but watch what happens next:

While having a brother or sister may be annoying at times, deep down we truly love our siblings, and wouldn’t trade them for anything in the world.
Unless of course we’re the Olsen Twins, singing Brother For Sale. We’re just kidding. But not really. No, we’re really kidding.
Anyway, LifeDaily has compiled 17 Things Only People Who Have Siblings Would Understand:
17. You would always steal each other’s clothes
Even if you are the opposite sex, I bet you were always taking your brothers sweatpants, and claiming them as your own pajamas.
16. Getting ready in the morning was an experience
When your sibling is about to get in the shower, you jump up and say “I was just going in the shower!” Even though you totally weren’t, you were catching up on your last few minutes of Zzzzz…..
15. Jealousy
You can find anything to be jealous about: what your sibling has- their grades, their clothes, their boyfriend or girlfriend, you can get jealous of just about anything.
14. Hiding your favorite snacks was a thing
Yup, those Raisinets are totally laundry. When mom brought home your favorite snacks, your brothers and sisters always had their spot where they hid them. They think you didn’t know about this hiding spot, but you always did.

When you have siblings, you have way more acquaintances and friends. You are always being referred to as “so and so’s brother or sister”.

Who is smarter, who can win at basketball, who’s more attractive, who has better hair- these are common conversations you have had.
7. Fighting over seats
Fighting over who sits where at the dining room table might have been a thing in your household. You would usually sit in the same seat all the time, and if you’re brother or sister dare sit in your seat, it was not pretty.
6. Passing the buck
Your parents asks you for help, and you immediately pass it on to your sister: “Brittany would be great at that, she knows all about it.” (Even though Brittany is clueless.)
5. Game nights are filled with drama
One of you is always really angry that they lost, because you guys are so competitive. The other gets really excited because you’re really mad, and things get ugly.

You make weird noises to each other, usually using the words: Ewwww. Gross. Uggghh.

1. But, if you have a sibling you were never lonely
Car rides were never boring, family dinners were always entertaining, and you never felt alone. Your sibling may annoy you to death, but at the end of the day you love them, and will always be there for them.

A doll’s purpose is to be a toy for children. The problem with these dolls is that they are usually perfect- a perfect body, perfect face, and a ton of makeup.
This is the case with Barbie Dolls, and Bratz dolls (as shown above), however most dolls share similar features and proportions.
Young girls are given dolls as toys, usually ages 3 and up, and they play with these dolls, and admire them and love them.
The problem with this, and the dilemma that some mothers face, is that because these dolls are so perfect, that they are afraid their daughters will develop self-esteem issues, and desire to look like the dolls.
While some people actually have body dysmorphic disorder, this usually doesn’t happen until later in life. When children are young, their minds are fragile, and parents just want to err on the side of caution.
What the woman proceeds to do next is amazing, and while you have to watch the video below to see for yourself, she completely changes what these dolls look like renaming them Tree Change Dolls:

It’s hard enough leaving one child when you are deployed to the U.S. Army, now imagine leaving six!
This soldier and dad is an American hero serving in Afghanistan. When he was deployed over six months ago, he left behind his wife and six children- the youngest of which he last saw when she was only two weeks old.
Instead of seeing his children for the first time in over six months together, he chose to see them separately, allowing that special moment to be shared with each of them individually.
His children had no idea that he had arrived home, and he and his wife (and a camera) went to each child’s school for the amazing surprise.
The first stop was meeting his youngest at the airport, which continued with going to each school and surprising each child in the classroom or hall of their building. The look on the children’s faces were indescribable!
Watching this extremely touching video will make you even more grateful to our soldiers who sacrifice everything to serve our country.
It’s hard to fathom but even celebrities face financial woes from time to time. These 10 stars made it big only to end up broke.
Billy Joel
The Piano Man is no stranger to heartache, both romantic and financial. Billy Joel has filed for bankruptcy not once or twice, but three times! Through an unfortunate series of mismanagement and three divorces, Joel lost close to $90 million. Joel’s former brother-in-law is suggested to be responsible for the loss of Joel’s millions due to risky investments, unauthorized loans, and blatant fraud. Today, Joel is recouping his lost millions on tour, and was inducted into the Rock and Roll and Songwriters Hall of Fame.
Mike Tyson
Former heavy weight champion Mike Tyson made over $300 million during his boxing career, but by 2003 his fortune was depleted. Tyson spent his millions on lavish jewelry, a mansion, expensive cars, and Bengal tigers. The New York Times reported that Tyson was $23 million in debt. Since 2008, Tyson now stars in his own self-titled comedy show, and made a cameo in The Hangover which made a few jokes at his Bengal tiger’s expense.
Betsey Johnson
Iconic fashion designer Betsey Johnson, known for her pretty punk fashion and jewelry lines, filed for bankruptcy in 2012 owing $4.1 million to various manufacturers, jewelers, and banks. Johnson was forced to close 65 of her retail locations and fire over 350 employees. To get back on her feet she designed affordable clothing lines to be sold in Macy’s and Nordstrom. She even participated in New York Fashion Week the year following her bankruptcy (ending the show with her signature cartwheel). The 71 year old stylish grandma has managed to reinvent herself and stay relevant in the ever evolving world of fashion.
Donald Trump
Hard to believe a man valued at $2.7 billion dollars has filed bankruptcy on four separate occasions. Donald Trump filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in 1991, 1992, 2004, and 2009. After the third corporate bankruptcy in 2004, Trump stepped down as CEO of the Trump Organization, and his ownership was reduced to 27%. He was even forced to surrender the Trump Princess Yacht and the Trump Shuttle. Before you feel too sorry for him, Trump is now ranked #405 on Forbe’s list of the richest people on the planet.
Lindsay Lohan
In 2012, child star Lindsay Lohan’s bank account took a heavy blow. After years of partying, car crashes, rehab visits, and reputation ruining behavior, Lindsay hit rock bottom. After failing to pay $900,000 in taxes, the IRS took control of her bank accounts. Co-star and friend, Charlie Sheen, stepped in loaning Lohan $100,000 to regain control of her finances. Lindsey has recently tried to clean up her act, and even starred in Lifetime movie Liz & Dick as Elizabeth Taylor. It is unlikely she will ever be taken seriously as an actress again though thanks to her party girl days.
MC Hammer
In 1991, MC Hammer pulled in an astounding $33 million after his album Please Hammer, Don’t Hurt ‘Em was released. Fast-forward six years later, Hammer had accrued $14 million in debt and declared bankruptcy. His lavish lifestyle that led to his financial woes included the largest entourage in Hollywood history that reportedly cost him $500,000 monthly, a $33 million mansion, luxury cars and airplanes, as well as a record company. Hammer has since decided to pursue interests other than music. He is now an ordained minister, and founder of a start-up company called WireDoo.
Jon Gosselin
After highly publicized split from wife, Kate, Jon Gosselin lost it all. When the couple’s hit reality TV series Jon and Katie Plus 8 was cancelled, Jon’s income was cancelled too. Post-divorce, Jon was evicted from his home and moved in with his mother who is now rumored to pay all his bills. Making matters worse, Jon pulled a gun on paparazzi last year and reportedly fired several shots in the air. The ex-reality star is now pursuing opportunities as a DJ making club appearances to earn some extra cash. We will see how that pans out for him.
Michael Vick
NFL star, Michael Vick, was once listed as one of the highest paid athletes of all time by Forbes. As the starting quarterback for the Atlanta Falcons, Vick made a comfortable living of $37.5 million; however, in 2008 Vick not only went bankrupt, but also went to prison on charges of dog fighting. By the time Vick was charged and sentenced to prison, he had wasted away his millions by investing obscene amounts of money into shady businesses. He also reportedly supported a 30-person entourage during his time with the Falcons. What’s crazier than losing his money and going to jail? After a 21 month stint in jail, Vick was signed a $10 million contract to be the starting quarterback for the Philadelphia Eagles. Talk about a comeback.
Pamela Anderson
Former Baywatch actress Pam Anderson was forced to sell her Malibu mansion in 2009 after owing nearly $1.7 million to the US government. After selling her home, Anderson moved into a trailer park with her two sons. She later revealed via Twitter she had dug herself into a financial hole and didn’t know how to handle it. More recently, Pam Anderson appeared on UK reality TV show, Dancing on Ice, but was voted off first round.
Larry King
Legendary talk-show host Larry King was living large when he had his first success in radio in the 1960s. His lavish lifestyle came to a screeching halt in 1971 when he was arrested for stealing $5,000 from his business partner. Eventually the charges were dropped, but King had tarnished his reputation. For the next four years, King was unemployed causing him to declare bankruptcy in 1978. He was nearly $352,000 in the hole. Luckily, that same year, King was offered a job as a talk show host in Washington D.C that eventually became his infamous CNN talk show.
These two cockatoos, named Charley and Kirby share a delicious cookie on the kitchen counter.
These cockatoos are quite a pair- with Charley (the white cockatoo) feeding Kirby cookie crumbs straight from his mouth.
Kirby waits anxiously for Charley to feed him some crumbs, and there’s even a point in the video where it appears he’s about to tongue kiss Charley because he’s so excited for food!
These two have crumbs all over their feet, but we don’t care because they are truly a funny twosome.
Watch Charley and Kirby show that sharing is caring:
There are many differences and changes that occur within us once we get into a relationship.
While many of us become happier, and more fulfilled when we are in a loving and quality relationship, it is no doubt that we in fact act different, dress different and feel different.
LifeDaily identifies The Differences Between Your Single Self and Your Girlfriend Self:
When you’re single: You will jump at the opportunity of plans all the time.
When you’re in a relationship: Your schedule is usually booked. Either you and your partner have plans alone, or you’ve made plans with another couple or have prior family arrangements.
When you’re single: You dress differently. You are usually showing off your body more, and you probably tend to wear short skirts or dresses and crop tops.
When you’re in a relationship: You are more covered, and you feel you can wear more of the clothing you like, because you’re not trying to impress everyone else as much. You are dressing for yourself and your significant other, and choosing outfits that make you happy.
When you’re single: You’re probably out partying, at any and every social event.
When you’re in a relationship:Movie night sounds just fine, and you’re probably too tired to go out. You’re perfectly content with watching flicks and snuggling up with your babe.
When you’re single: You spend a lot more time with your friends.
When you’re in a relationship: You spend more time with your partner and his friends, and usually go on double dates.
When you’re single: You hit the gym almost everyday. You are single, and can meet someone at anytime, so you want to look your very best.
When you’re in a relationship: You slack a little on working out. This isn’t because you don’t care about yourself or how you look as much, you’d just rather stay in bed cuddling with your babe.
When you’re single: You eat less.
When you’re in a relationship: You are constantly eating with your babe, whether it’s at dinner or at home. You’re always preparing food for one another.
When you’re single: You’re out at clubs all the time.
When you’re in a relationship: You make fun of clubs. Sure, you may occasionally really enjoy a night out, but it’s not as high on your priority list.
When you’re single: The time you spend with your family is minimal. You don’t have as much time for them, as you’re busy talking to people and making plans.
When you’re in a relationship: You spend a lot more time with your family, as you’re more inclined and excited to go with your babe by your side
The message of this article was not to say being in a relationship or being single is better or worse than the other. They are completely different, as when you are in each one, you are in a different stage and phase of your life. It’s great to experience both being single and being in a relationship, as you learn a lot about yourself in the process.
Enjoy both your single self and your relationship self, as being with someone should never define you, more like compliment you!

Imagine that you were able to put out a fire just by a device that emits a simple sound? This would save the lives of many firefighters, and all you would need was a drone.
While this hasn’t happened yet, it is certainly the wish of these two engineering students from Virginia’s George Mason University that it will. They invented a device that uses low-frequency bass sound waves instead of liquid to put out flames.
It is truly a revolutionary fire extinguisher, and it’s hypothesized that the sound waves emitted, increase the velocity of air particles in and around the fire, basically suffocating it.
To work, the device needs to be held about a foot away from the flames, which is a much safer distance than traditionally used to fight a fire.
These students hope one day their fire extinguisher can be attached to a drone, in which forest fires would be extinguished, without risking human lives.
We can’t wait to see what happens next with this genius invention. Watch below to see how it works:

You may hold your current job for many reasons, the main one probably being that it is necessary for your survival to have a roof over your head and food on the table.
Maybe you were forced to take your current job because it was the only offer that you received, or maybe you took it in order to save up money for your future.
Regardless of the reason, your current job may not be ideal, but it is certainly manageable. There are ways to survive it, and to help you LifeDaily has compiled 9 Ways To Survive A Job You Don’t Like:
9. Keep a positive attitude
Now, while this may be hard to do because you dislike your job, having a negative attitude will only make your day worse. Allow thoughts of the future to keep you going, or allow the thought of your paycheck to keep you going. Staying positive and optimistic is only beneficial to you.
8. Remember that your job pays the bills
You have to remember that your current job is the one paying your bills. Without it, you would not have no income, and that means a lot of problems.
7. Learn as much as you possibly can
Even if you have a job cleaning toilets, there are still things to learn, just like in any profession. There are people skills to learn, and small nuances that noone else would know unless they held your job. Every bit of knowledge you acquire during your life will be helpful to you and to serve a purpose, even if it’s learning how to survive in your unpleasant job.
6. Count your blessings
Remember that you are lucky to have a job in the first place. Some people are sick and unable to work, some are handicapped and would do anything to be able to have legs like you do so that they can stand on their own two feet. It can always be worse, so don’t ever forget that. Remember this Persian proverb: “I cursed the fact I had no shoes until I saw the man who had no feet.”
5. Leave work at work
If you go home and still think about work, complain about work, or worry about the next day’s work, you need to stop doing this. When you go to work from 9-5, or whatever time it is, let your day end there. While sometimes, you may have to put in some extra time to get the job done, this should not be the normal, especially for a job that you don’t even like. When you get home, it is your time.
4. Create time for yourself
It’s important to create time for yourself either in the morning, or after work, and definitely on the weekends. While you may say: “I have no time” I’m going to say: “you always have time.” Wake up 30 minutes earlier, go to be 30 minutes later. Spend that time for yourself doing whatever it is that makes you happy. It’s only going to benefit you.
3. Do not stop sending out your resume, or asking around about a job
You can spend time over the weekend sending your resume out, or an hour every other day. I know this is time consuming, but it is the only way you’re ever going to move on to something better. Also tell as many people you can about the job you are seeking, because the more you put it out in the universe, the more likely it is to happen.
2. Keep in mind your end goal
Your current job is a short-term goal to get you to your long-term goal. It is a stepping stone to get you to your ultimate goal. If your current job is saving you money, teaching you skills, or merely providing for yourself and your family, it is a step in the right direction. There is always time to improve, and always keep your end goal in mind.
1. Remember that you are the only one in control of your life
