If you found your best friend again after two years, you’d be crying too.
Kelly Thomas and her husband lost Bear (their dog not an actual bear) in 2013. The couple was in a car accident and after the collision, Bear ran away.
About a year after the crash, two women by the name of Stephanie Sparks and Kera Bagwell spotted a certain dog (unaware his name was Bear) in a junkyard not far from the crash sight. They were didn’t know who this dog was or what he had been through, however, they spent a great deal of time trying to capture the elusive beast: an entire year, in fact!
“We had absolutely no idea that it was going to turn into a 13-month ordeal. We thought we are going to go out, make friends with this dog, put him in the car and take him home,” Kera told Fox 5 Atlanta.
Instead, the dog took them for a spin, evading their attempts to trap Bear. Meanwhile, Kelly and her husband searched for Bear, turning up empty after a long two-year search. When the rescuers finally managed to capture Bear, they found he had a tracking microchip in him, and they quickly contacted his owners.
The reunion is one you probably won’t be able to bear:
