Just call them nature’s version of a modern-day Romeo and Juliet.
They’re two star-crossed lovers separated by different worlds and a screen door – and it’s not hard to see why their video is going viral. If you’ve ever fallen for someone you know you can’t be with, the following video from bill16504 (aka our story’s villain) is guaranteed to hit you with all the feels.
In it, we meet Pep, Bill’s domesticated pet bunny who loves to hang out by the door, and assumingly dream about the world outside it.

On this particular sunny day during mating season, a wild rabbit, who we assume longs for a life indoors, notices Pep staring out like a princess locked in a tower and the rest, as they say, is history.

At first, we see Pep playing the coy, privileged bunny, completely disinterested in the wild animal.
However, she quickly comes around and admits she too has feelings for the vagabond rabbit.

Sadly, Bill knows better than to let Pep’s Prince Charming inside his home, since he’ll undoubtedly end up with way more bunnies than he bargained for, and the rabbits are forced to love one another from afar.

Since the video was posted to YouTube back in 2012, we can only hope that these seemingly doomed lovers somehow made it work. Who knows, maybe bill16504 will even give us an update?
