Toronto is known for a lot of things, but exotic birds is not one of them.
So when Brandon Muir found a gorgeous green parrot knocking on his truck window 50 kilometers Northwest of Toronto, he was more than a little confused. He had heard an unusual fluttering outside his window, and when he turned to look, he saw a beautiful exotic bird looking for help.
Muir says when he opened the door, the bird hopped inside. He assumed the bird was somebody”s lost pet since Parrot’s aren’t often found wandering through Canada. Muir says the bird was friendly and even hopped on the steering wheel. “He seemed extremely content, like, ‘Thanks! Let’s go!’”
Thank goodness for technology!
Turns out the little green feathered beauty is a three-year-old female Quaker Parrot named Baby who had escaped out of her owners home in Bolton, Caledon, for the first time in her life three days earlier. The Dedonato family has had her since she was a few months old, and when their youngest son, Roman opened a door, Baby decided that she was going on a grand adventure.
