This is the making of a beautiful friendship.

These two may not be the next contestants to win America’s Got Talent, but they are certainly win our vote for being the cutest duet to ever steal the spotlight.

Chester and his tiny owner Mark, were just laying around one afternoon watching the weather channel when Chester began to make a funny sound. Mark, who’s probably smaller than the dog, got a kick out of the way the dog began to howl and he mimicked the dog with his own high-pitched squeals.

Dogs, who have a fantastic sense of hearing, will often respond to high-pitched noises by howling. Dogs howl because they are distantly related to wolves, and the urge to howl is still embedded in their genetic code. When they hear a sound that vaguely resembles a howl (like the siren of an ambulance or the squeal of a toddler) dogs will often imitate that sound too.

In this case, it prompted an impromptu duet in which both baby and doggie copied each other and made sang the cutest soundtrack ever captured on camera.
