Marshmallow has been living at Montgomery County Animal Services and Adoption Center for a while now, and they describe him as a big goofball who likes to walk and loves to snuggle.
A volunteer, named Michele DeNicola Kenno has spent a lot of time with Marshmallow over the past few months, taking him on outings, and getting him to spend time away from the shelter.
As one can imagine, being a shelter dog is not easy. Michele explains on her Facebook that Marshmallow was adopted numerous times, but sadly returned within just a few weeks or less to the shelter.
She says that people haven’t given him enough of a chance, and time to decompress and get used to his new home.
Michele however, has not given up on Marshmallow and she continues to take him on walks and allows him to experience the freedom, attention and love that he desperately needs.
On one particular outing, Michele filmed a video of Marshmallow falling asleep in her arms in the car:
He did not want to leave, and probably did not want to go back to shelter.
Michele also shared an image of Marshmallow on Facebook with the sweetest caption:
“I’m hopelessly in love again. I can’t help it. Marshmallow has stolen my heart. This is his face when he knows I’m bringing him back to the shelter. He’s going to make someone an amazing pet if they just give him the chance.”
