Woman Wakes From A Coma To Reveal Her ‘Loving’ Boyfriend Was Her Attacker

A Chinese woman who was feared to live the rest of her life in a vegetative state has undergone a miraculous recovery, waking up from an 8-month-long coma.

However, even though Lin Yingying’s story is one to be celebrated, what she revealed after her harrowing ordeal left everyone shocked. Although local media had reported that the 22-year-old’s boyfriend Liu Fenghe was by her bedside throughout the past few months and had spent thousands of dollars on her hospital bills, Lin told the news he was the one who caused the head injury left her in the vegetative state.

Although Lin regained the ability to speak in May of 2015, Mashable reported that she just chose to speak out about her abusive boyfriend recently, after being pushed from her father.

Lin said her father told her “You have died once, what more are you afraid of? It’s time to confront reality.”

The South China Morning Post reported that Lin’s father finally reported to the police that Liu was not who he claimed to be.
