[Reuters/Dominic Ebenbichler]What appears at first to be the aftermath of a natural disaster is actually a cool new tourism craze. Upside down homes are a new attraction that are drawing visitors to see the topsy-turvy architecture in places like China, Russia, Germany, and Austria.
[Reuters/Aly Song]The homes come with inverted furnishings inside and out. And in case you’re wondering why designers would do such a thing, the answer is quite simple: why not?
Below are featured four upside down homes that might give you a crick in the neck so don’t strain too hard.

They appear to be an optical illusion at first, but in fact, they were built with all the necessities “stuck” to the ceiling.
Workers attach a bowl to the dining room table in the nearly-completed “Die Welt Steht Kopf” House in Germany. The German name of this attraction translates to “the world is upside down.”

In Austria, tourists walk out of this attraction that even has it’s foundation showing.

And these tourists seem to be having a grand time at this place located in Fengjing Ancient Town.
