There’s nothing worse for a pet parent than to see their furry loved one suffer and not be able to do anything about it. But 24-year-old Emily Mochan of Brisbane, Australia knew that so many pets leave this world before their owner’s are able to say goodbye… and wanted to make her dog Buddy’s final days his best yet.
Weeks ago, LifeDaily reported in this story about Buddy’s Bucket List, which was compiled of 50 different things Mochan wanted her 6-year-old Australian Blue Heeler to experience before his inevitable death. In early 2016, Mochan was devastated to learn Buddy had a rare and deadly case of lymphoma.
Since then, Mochan has shared Buddy’s final journey, documenting his special experiences with loved ones and furry friends. In his final days, Buddy got to experience a camping trip, a run on the beach, and even a meal prepared by a gourmet chef. Buddy was able to check 49 items off his bucket list before passing last Wednesday, March 31.
However, even after Buddy’s untimely death, he was able to complete the last item on his list and help other animals in need. Mochan shared on Facebook that she will donate all the dog’s toys and the money raised on a GoFundMe page to Australia’s Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (RSPCA).
