Mom and inspiration, Lacey Buchanan is an uplifting person who will make your soul soar.

The young mother has a son, Christian, with an incredibly rare condition. Born with no eyes and a severe cleft lip and palate, Christian Buchanan is one of only fifty people in the world with such an impairment. It was caused by Amniotic Band Syndrome, where fibrous bands in the womb attached to his face and restricted blood flow during fetal development.

However, this makes the child all the more unique. He is a permanent reminder that love is blind, because while he can’t see, he can feel with even more intensity.

And that intensity and love has touched the lives of all around him.

However, his parents Lacey and Chris of Woodbury, Tennessee have had to deal with a lot of unwarranted attention as a result of their child’s birth defect. One of the most commonly asked questions these parents have receive: “why didn’t you chose to terminate the pregnancy?”

These incredible parents chose to do what many couldn’t and brought this incredible child into the world. In response to what people have inappropriately commented about the child, Lacey made the following video.
