When two Kansas City Police Officers went to a local Chili’s for lunch, they received more than the meal they were expecting.
Captain Rance Quinn and Captain George Sims were surrounded by community members while eating their meal when a teenage girl leaving the restaurant dropped them a note. On it read a simple message, “thanks for keeping us safe.”
But this started something of a chain reaction in the small establishment. A woman with a young son then approached the officers and said she supported law enforcement and that her son had always wanted to meet a police officer.
The good feelings stuck with the officers throughout the day and of course, the story went on to receive attention from local news sources. It’s created a bit of a chain reaction in support of police forces.
