90-Year-Old Grandma Goes Viral Rocking Her Bikini On Vacation

Nowadays, it’s hard to go to a beach or a pool and not be distracted by other people’s swimwear.

Whether it’s a little one still in diapers donning a shockingly teeny bikini or a woman showing a little too much skin for your liking, sometimes you just can’t help but turn your head and wonder what they were thinking dressing like this.

However, there’s a big difference between wearing something society says is inappropriate and rocking it well — and the woman below is giving a whole new meaning to age-appropriate style.

In a photo posted to Facebook by Byron Bay, Australia clothing store Lady Watego, we see one 90-year-old grandmother Irene rock a red polka dot bikini like she was born to do it.

Irene was travelling on a cruise with her family and after some encouragement from her friends at the nursing home, decided to set her sights on a two piece for the trip. With help from the staff, Irene selected the adorable Seafolly Australia brand bikini, snapping a photo for everyone that helped her make the brilliant fashion selection.

The store’s owner even let everyone how happy they’ve been with the viral photo and it’s body positive message. “Thanks everyone for all the positivity! This is the message I try to get across to women of all ages everyday in my store-get out & enjoy life!” Lady Watego wrote on Facebook.
