Every year, Hunter Gandee carries his little brother Braden on his back to raise awareness for those with cerebral palsy.
Known as The Cerebral Palsy Swagger, Hunter and Braden trek across Michigan in the hopes of uplifting people around the country and help promote inclusion.
Braden who is 9-years-old and weighs 70 pounds cannot walk with without assistance, so each year, Hunter carries him on his back.
Last year, Hunter walked 57 miles with Braden on his back, and in 2014, they walked 40.
This Monday however, was the boys’ third and final walk since they Braden is expected to walk the last half-mile in Lansing using his walker.
Braden is pretty excited, 16-year-old Hunter said. And now that Braden is getting bigger, they will not be doing the walk anymore, Hunter told the Associated Press.
“I’m extremely thankful for our support and that has inspired me to keep going,” Hunter said.
