This New Zealand police team catches bad guys on the run every day, but rarely do they find themselves running too.

However, due to a recent recruitment video, we got to see what happens when the police become running men.

You may be familiar with the popular throw-back from Ghost Town DJ’s 1995 hit “My Boo,” and the running man dance that followed as a phenomenon. These officers decided to boogie down to the beat too in an attempt to get noticed. And they have: the video has been viewed more than 3 million times on Facebook.

Now the officers have thrown down the gauntlet to 10 police departments around the globe: They’ve challenged officers from seven Australian forces, the tiny Isles of Scilly in the U.K. and the New York and Los Angeles Police Departments to show off their own dance moves.

According to Mashable, this Running Man Challenge began in April with a college basketball team in Maryland and has apparently been making its way across the world.

Take a look at the funny video below and don’t forget to SHARE it with family and friends. Let’s hope fellow police departments can entertain on the same level as these New Zealand Kiwis.
