Teen Posts Funny Pictures Online Of Her Sister Getting Attacked By A Goose

This teen is either the worst sister in the world, or the best!

Stevie Gidden is a 17-year-old from Houston. She has a 5-year-old sister named Summer. Here’s a picture of the two:

Summer recently had a rough day. She was attacked by a bird, though I assure you it was not as bad as it looked.

When the bird struck, Stevie and a neighbor ran to help Summer. They pulled the bird off her and made sure she was fine. However, a second neighbor happened to have a camera. Seeing as we live in the age of the internet, the neighbor didn’t hesitate to snap a shot.

Stevie shared the photos of the attack on Twitter and identified the bird as a duck.

The internet reacted appropriately, retweeting the photo over 44,000 times and giving it 57,000 likes to date.

However, Stevie also got a bit of blowback as a result. Some said she was mean for not doing more, while others criticized the neighbor for exploiting such a situation.

Stevie later found out that that the duck was in fact an Egyptian goose. She clarified this on Twitter as well as the fact that the circumstances surrounding the photos weren’t meant to be nasty and Summer was laughing at it (in hindsight).

“She’s good now, probably won’t go near birds for a long time, but she’s good,” Stevie said. “She thinks her post going [viral] on the internet is funny, and that’s the only thing she’s talked about today.”
