Article Surfaces Showing Donald Trump Used His Private Jet To Help Sick Child

Whether you love him, or love to hate him, you can’t deny Donald Trump knows how to grab headlines. However, one headline he grabbed in 1988 shows a softer side of the real estate tycoon we don’t typically see.

A news article more than 27 years old has recently come to light. The original was from an organization known as Jewish Telegraphic Agency that reported on a heroic deed the billionaire did more than a quarter century ago.

When 3-year-old Andrew Ten needed to fly from Los Angelos to La Guardia for medical treatment, he was refused by the commercial airliner due to his medical equipment. The child could not fly without an elaborate life-support system, which includes a portable oxygen tank, a suction machine, a breathing bag and an adrenaline syringe. These necessities could not be brought on the commercial airliner, so his 29-year-old father Harold Ten reached out to Donald Trump seeking use of his private 727.

“Mr. Trump did not hesitate when we called him up. He said ‘yes, I’ll send my plane out,’” said Ten.The private Boeing 727 of real estate tycoon Donald Trump arrived from Los Angeles at LaGuardia Airport Tuesday morning, carrying aboard an Orthodox Jewish child with a rare and still undiagnosed breathing illness.

Asked why he thought Trump made his private jet available, Ten replied, “Because he is a good man. He has three children of his own and he knows what being a parent is all about.”

We commend The Donald for this noble deed he did 27 years ago, however, it is still worth noting that Trump is said to be one of the least charitable billionaires in the world.

No matter the size of your wallet or lack thereof, all of us have room in our heart to make a difference in somebody’s life. We don’t need a private jet to do a good deed, nor do we even need money.
