Love made its way beyond life in this incredibly sad and inspiring story. A family was mourning the recent loss of their father, according to Imgur user ButAnywayHeresWonderwall. The man passed away in February, but his legacy did not.

When the late father’s son was doing some work around the house for Mom, he discovered a message hidden from his father. It was intended for Mom, who has recently become a widow.

He was dismantling a workbench that his father had made for his mother when she got into metal engraving a few years back. On this particular day, he discovered this…

The message reads:

I love you Becca.

Whatever day this is, I hope it’s a good one. God truly answered my prayers the day he gave me you. I know that these days are the best I’ll ever have, and I’m glad you’re in them.

I’m not sure if you’ll ever see this, but if you do, just know that I love you very much. If there is one thing want in life, it is to be as good to you as you are to me. If I can do that, I’ll be the happiest man alive.
