Giving birth is one of the most spiritual experiences a human being can go through. Bringing forth life and continuing the billion-year-old dance of which we all prance is an act that transcends humanity and is conducted by all living things.
So who better to coach one through this laborious dance than the one who gave us life? In a series of transcendent art pieces, photographers are shown capturing the emotional moment mothers hold the hand of their daughters and coach these young women through childbirth.
TheInternational Association of Professional Birth Photographers—an organization that provides resources to expectant parents, photographers, and other birth professionals—worked with The Huffington Post to compile a collection of images in which mothers are assisting their pregnant daughters.
