Dog Makes A Miraculous Recovery After His Stomach Was Split Open

It’s hard to imagine how anyone would ever want to hurt an animal, but sadly there are countless homeless and helpless dogs like this next one who are badly suffering.

Thankfully, there are heroes like the team from Animal Aid Unlimited to give some of the lucky ones a second chance. AAU is a charity rescue organization based out of India, a country with more than one billion people and nearly as many strays.

Just like in this unbelievable rescue mission from Animal Aid Unlimited, where they saved a tiny puppy from a sewage pipe, Lola is a dog who was found on the brink of death.

“We found her lying in a trash pit with a gaping hole in her stomach,” AAU described the shocking discovery of Lola on their website. The good Samaritans who first saw the injured dog said she was hurt three days earlier, but then disappeared or they would have called sooner.

“She must have gone to hide in the nearby bushes, in too much pain to come out for food or water,” AAU wrote. “She could barely move when we found her but with the remaining strength she had she wagged her tail as if to tell us everything she had endured, and she truly seemed to know that her now she was going to get better.”

The dog’s critical injury would have undoubtedly become badly infected, causing Lola to get sick and die had the heroes not gotten to her in time.
