Here at LifeDaily, we love a good story about a hero. We marvel at those who put others first and aspire to be just like those who go out of their way to make the world a better place.
But never have we heard of police smashing windows to save a plastic doll..at least, not before today. That’s because an officer with the Oakland Police Department in California is now getting heat for saving a ‘baby’ trapped in an inferno.

However, it wasn’t actually a baby. It was simply a plastic doll that looked extremely lifelike and appeared unresponsive. In my opinion, the only thing more terrifying than an unresponsive baby locked in a hot car, is responsive doll locked in a hot car, but that’s an article for another day.
Officer Johnna Watson of the Oakland Police Department told ABC News, “although this incident did not involve a baby or small child, it was unknown at the time.” He continued by saying “first responders’ number one priority is to ensure … safety.”
I’m just glad the officer was quick to overreact rather than being slow to underreact. You never know if one day that doll will actually be a baby. If you value all the first responders out there, then please SHARE this funny and oddly inspiring story with friends on Facebook.
