The duty of the police adopted around the world is to “serve and protect.” However, two Dutch police officers took this ideology literally when they served dinner to the children of a sick mother.
In late November, the Dutch police department in Eindhoven received a call a mother of five needed to be taken to the hospital. She was experiencing hypoglycemia, also known as low blood sugar.
After Mom was removed from the house, two officers stayed behind to ensure all was well with the five kids. Likewise, they needed to make arrangements for the children to be transferred to the care of relatives.
It was at this point the officers discovered dinner had not been served. So, what did the kind-hearted officers do?
According to the Eindhoven Police post on Facebook, the unnamed policemen made some fried egg sandwiches and fruit plates for the kids.
They even posted an unexpectedly precious photo of themselves doing the dishes afterward!
The post has since gone on to receive more than 100,000 likes as it has spread across the globe.
Please SHARE this adorable photo and heartwarming story of these officers and the people they serve!
