A stunning model’s disgraceful post to Snapchat has recently made waves, revealing that there is one kind of “ugly” you definitely can’t change.
Former Playboy Playmate Model of the Year Dani Mathers was recently fired from her radio host gig after she shared a photo body-shaming a naked fellow gym-goer on Snapchat.
However, it was already too late. Police are asking the unknown woman to come forward so they can charge the 29-year-old model and people everywhere were already furious about fat-shaming post. When Florida veteran, widow, mom, and newlywed Christine Blackmon heard the story, however, she knew she couldn’t stay silent and his since gone viral herself with an epic-shutdown on her Facebook page, Delicate Flower.
“Here’s the deal — you may have been a Playboy model but not all of us work out to be ‘hot,’ some of us work out simply to honor the bodies we were given. That’s all that woman was trying to do and you violated her. Shame on you,” Blackmon wrote in a Facebook post, along with a pre-workout photo her husband snapped.
Since the mother of two’s candid photo and thoughts went viral, Blackmon’s post has been inundated with body-positive messages and many women sharing their own stories.
“For every day that I’m like, ‘My body birthed life and did this and did that,’ there’s another day that I’m in tears on the floor of a dressing room…But I think the key is that, when we’re having those moments, the women around us should be the ones rallying if we’re not strong,” Blackmon told TODAY.
“I think that was the beauty of this post is that everybody else also rallied around because the whole woman-shaming thing has gotten to be just stupid. We shame ourselves enough, we don’t need Playboy models shaming us.”
