Graduating college and moving out into the “real world” is difficult. There are landlords, loans, stale coffee, demanding bosses, and neckties. And that’s if you’re lucky. Leaving the cushy world of undergrad and embarking on your own is not for the faint of heart. It’s a flurry of confusing feelings and daunting hurdles. You feel so many highs and lows throughout the process, like the following:
When you’re going across the stage to receive your diploma:

When you party with all your friends the last night ever:

You galavant around campus one last time, hop a fence, and sneak into something you shouldn’t (but, like, what are they gonna do, expel us?):

Or you frolic in a fountain:

A few days later, you get your final grades and see you narrowly escaped like:

But now you need to impress employers with your skills:

So you trim the ironic beard you grew senior year:

And put the most professional outfit you can find from Mom’s closet:

But there’s so much competition and fighting everybody off is hard:

Finally, you get an interview and the employer says, “so have you had any similar experience in this field?” and you’re like:

You end up nailing the rest of the interview:

Now you need to find an apartment that fits your budget:

You move on to cooking for yourself frequently:

And you roll into your first day of work like:
But work is actually stressful and sometimes you do more harm than good:

Your boss wants to know what brilliant ideas you picked up in college and you’re just like:

That first week is rough, but when you get that first paycheck:

And you roll out with grace Friday afternoon:

So maybe this whole adjusting to the real world thing isn’t all that bad:
