Just when you thought it was safe to head back into the water comes a video that might just scare you straight back out!

Even though sharks get a pretty bad rap in the animal kingdom, the truth is that a person is more likely to get killed by something as unexpected as a coconut falling from a tree over a shark attack. Yet, that hasn’t stopped us from being straight up terrified by the majestic beasts under the sea… or from being completely fascinated by them, either.

On a recent fishing trip, Captain Mark Martin caught a glimpse of a group of sharks doing something very rarely caught on camera. The fisherman, who runs San Diego Salt Water Fly Fishing, spotted a group of sharks out in the distance and hooked a large shortfin Mako, one of the fastest known shark species. Unbeknownst to many, the Mako is also capable of sometimes jumping up to 20 feet out of the water, according to Shark Insider.

“Words can’t describe what it is like to see Mako sharks of this size come out of the water like they do,” Mark Martin wrote in a Facebook that has since gone viral on his business’ page.

Check out the unbelievable moment below and don’t be afraid to SHARE this with other friends on Facebook!
