Entrepreneur Elon Musk appeared on “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” recently and dropped a bomb…or at least he wants to.
Yes, the man who gave us the Tesla Electric Car has a few ideas in mind, worthy of supervillain status. Many scientists are currently discussing how to make Mars travel and colonization possible, Musk noted that the Red Planet is currently a real “fixer-upper of a planet.”
However, according to Musk, Mars will only be inhospitable at first. “At first, you’re going to have to live in transparent domes but eventually, you could transform Mars into an Earth-like planet.”
And how does one transform Mars into an Earth-like planet?
That’s right, you guessed it, kiddies. Musk said you just have to warm it up not with a blanket, but with a few other tactics. Of course, as is with most things in life, there’s the fast way and the slow way. “the fast way is drop thermonuclear weapons over the poles,” said Musk
Haven’t we seen this movie before?

Yeah remember that scene from Terminator 2 where the bombs drop and the world goes up in smoke? That’s essentially what Musk proposed. Of course, we’ll give him the benefit of the doubt and assume his evil scheme is mostly a joke.
But as Colbert pointed out, “you’re trying to do good things and you’re a billionaire. That seems a little like a superhero or a supervillain. You have to choose one.”
It appears Musk chose supervillain:
