Timbaland has found the next big thing.
Remember that song Bryson Tiller recently released, talking about a certain phone call with Timbaland? In his album TRAPSOUL, released on October 2, Tiller’s song “ten nine fourteen,” gives a nod to Timbaland. He recalls a time Timbaland gave Tiller his own nod of approval when Tiller raps, “never forget that phone call I got from Timbo and Richie.”
According to HipHopDX, Tiller received a phone call from Timbaland saying he really liked Tiller’s music.
“Tim was like, ‘Yo I like that song ‘Don’t,’ can you send it to me? What’s your email?’ He told me to come to Miami so we can work, he told me to quit my job. The rest is history,” said Tiller.
It appears Timbaland passed on cosigning Tiller however, because he was focusing on LA-based duo THEY.
Timbaland recently gave the duo a shout-out on Instagram and Twitter.

Who are THEY.?
(That’s not a typo–the period is intentional) According to BET, THEY. are a pair of producers and songwriters named Dante and Drew. They wanted to create a sound of music that pushed boundaries, anf THEY. was born. They have been influenced by a wide range of music from Taking Back Sunday, to Kurt Cobain, and Babyface. They present a refreshing mix of hip-hop, pop, and R&B.
