Leave it to Ellen DeGeneres to make us break out in happy tears once again!
As you can see in this touching story, Ellen loves nothing more than helping out those who need it most. Unlike most talk show hosts, who only like to bring in the usual celebrity guests to get their ratings up, Ellen realizes that regular folks usually have the very best stories to tell!
That’s why when Ellen met 32-year-old comedian Quincy Jones and learned his dream of performing in his own special, the comedy queen knew she had to do something to help.
Last year, Quincy Jones received some devastating news when he was diagnosed with stage IV mesothelioma and doctors said he had roughly one year to live. This past January, Jones went public with his terminal cancer diagnosis, when a friend helped him create this Kickstarter campaign to help the young comedian fulfill his dream.
As of March 18th, 2016, just over 1,200 backers raised more than $50,000 for the campaign, but that was only part of the problem. So Ellen brought Jones on her show, where she revealed that she had been working on a little something of her own. When Ellen tells Jones to get ready to appear on his own HBO comedy special, his amazing reaction says it all!
Our prayers are with you, Quincy – and we can’t wait to tune in!

Bunnies, in their natural form, are small, cute and fluffy, but the Easter bunny is completely opposite.
Usually, the Easter Bunny comes in the form of someone’s parent or relative dressing up to surprise the kids.
The Easter Bunny is not just a regular bunny on steroids, it’s even bigger.
Some children love the Easter bunny when they see him, but others have never seen a greater source of terror in their entire lives.
Try and remember back to when you were a kid, and the Easter Bunny walked into your party dressed in human clothes, and you ran for your life. I think it’s safe to say most of us would prefer enjoying the marshmallows and chocolate Easter has to offer and leave the Easter Bunny at home.

Most doctors try not to use the word “never” with their patients, giving them every little bit of hope they can grab on to.
So when you hear a diagnosis like the one Kent Stephenson received from his doctors, it’s understandable why a person would want to completely give up.
A 2009 motocross accident left Stephenson completely paralyzed, with little hope of ever regaining feeling or movement in his legs ever again.
However, the athlete never gave up and decided to take part in an experimental procedure in 2012 from the Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation and University of Louisville that placed an electrical implant in his spine, in hopes that Stephenson could stand up straight.
According to ABC News, doctors said, “the implant transmits low electrical currents to stimulate the nerves and help allow paralyzed patients to stand.”
After more than three years of hard work and endless positive thinking, Stephenson was able to greet his bride Misti Richeson on the altar at his March 12 wedding.
Thanks to the spine implant, Stephenson was even able to dance with his new wife on their wedding night, in front of all their family and friends.
Photographer Allix Ruby told ABC News there wasn’t a dry eye in the house. “Everything went silent but all you could hear is people crying.” Ruby even said the groom told her “I was crying as much for myself as seeing how beautiful she was.”
Ruby’s touching photos captured the touching moment the 29-year-old paralyzed man was able to reveal his amazing transformation to his new wife and favorite people.
“I don’t always shoot stories this powerful, but everybody’s wedding day is this important and I just felt so honored to be there and be the one behind the camera.”

Parents, don’t you just love ’em. They bring you into the world, wipe your tooshie, feed you and bring you up, at considerable expense and sacrifice for many long years. But you’re a kid, you’re annoying, you whine and moan and always want stuff. And sometimes your parents, who are both working two jobs just to keep up with your gaming and Nike obsession, they snap and when they do…they start pranking! It’s really quite understandable and even fair enough if you really think about it. But sometimes parents can be really evil, like REALLY evil, as many of the pranks on this list are. Some are even more shocking than that…
1. Ebola Prank
Yea mom, your kid watched the TV just like you do, and as they say “kid’s minds are like sponges” so he knows exactly what Ebola is, and you know he knows! You cruel mommy you!

Anyone who has ever had a pet cat, or even just played with one, will know that cats are natural hunters, so one rescue organization decided to use their natural instincts to help them find a home.
Each year, nearly 1.5 million cats are euthanized in the United States because they run out of time in a shelter, or because they are considered ‘unadoptable’. To help give these innocent animals a second chance, and give them another opportunity to find a home, SpokAnimal, a Washington state rescue organization, set up a program to find ‘unadoptable’ cats jobs.
Since cats are natural hunters, and are experts at killing mice, SpokAnimal pairs cats with farms and warehouse owners who have a mouse problem where they fill the position of ‘mouse manager’.
It might not be great news for mice, but since the program began in 2009, 1,700 cats have been saved from being killed, and have not only found jobs, but families as well.
Watch the entire video below to learn more about this genius program.
Can you believe more shelters and rescue organizations don’t have a program like this for cats at risk of being euthanized? Let us know what you think in the comments below, and please SHARE this with friends on Facebook.
Being a full-time college student is hard enough, but one Baylor University student has the incredible challenge of being a full-time student AND a mother to a 4 1/2-month-old baby girl.
When 33-year-old Katy Humphrey’s babysitter canceled at the last minute, she had no choice but to bring her daughter Millie to class with her. “Dr. Willoughby said if I ever needed to bring her to class, he was OK with it, so it made me feel relieved to know I would be able to learn and take care of my daughter,” Humphrey said.
Humphrey was determined to make it to her exercise bio chemistry class, which she was taking for her degree in exercise physiology.”I was in the Marines for 14 years as a Pashto linguist and signals analyst, and after a few friends were injured in Afghanistan, I felt called to work with wounded warriors,” she said.
Yet when the two got to class, Millie was getting fussy, and Dr. Darryn Willoughby could tell Humphrey was getting distracted as she tried to pacify the baby. To help her focus, Willoughby took Millie, and held her during the entire 55-minute class.
“I didn’t do it for myself,” Willoughby said. “It’s just about me looking out for and taking care of my students.”
“I carried her around for almost an hour and she was totally content,” Willoughby said. “We never heard a peep out of her the entire class.”

Wearing an eye patch every day can be tough for a little kid, but instead of letting his daughter feel self-conscious for being different, this artistic dad decided to make the best of the situation and make wearing an eyepatch a fun experience.
When Layla Grubb was 8-months-old, doctors discovered she had been born with a small cataract in one of her eyes. To let her weak eye gain strength, the doctors told dad Geoff Grubb that she would have to wear an eye patch over her eye for two hours each day for a few years until her eye was finally as strong as the other.
To make the process more enjoyable, Geoff decided to draw a fun new design on the eye patches each day.
“Patching can be frustrating for me as the parent, so this helps make it fun and it keeps me committed to doing it every day,” Grubb said. “We bought her some plain patches and I thought they were a little depressing so this was my way of making it more fun, especially for me.”
Since starting the project, Grubb started an Instagram account where he shares the cute design from the day, and has attracted nearly 13,000 followers.
“It was easy to come up with ideas at first but it’s gotten harder because I don’t want to repeat designs. I have a running list that my wife and family help me with. I’m always open to new cute ideas, though,” Grubb said.
Can you believe how much effort this amazing dad has dedicated to making sure his daughter never feels uncomfortable about wearing an eye patch? Let us know what you think in the comments below, and please SHARE this with friends on Facebook.
We’ve all walked or driven past a homeless person, and avoided interacting with them at all cost partly because we’re unsure of their intentions, and partly because we’ve sadly been taught to. Which is exactly why one woman was shocked to see a soldier go out of his way to do what everyone else would have avoided.
While stopped at a stop light in Kansas on a Friday afternoon, Tammra Bose saw a car pull over on the side of the ramp of I-470 near where the homeless man was sitting, and a man dressed in an Army uniform got out and walked over to the man. Instead of quickly giving the man some change and getting back on his way, the soldier sat down beside him and simply talked with him.
Tammra was so surprised by what she had witnessed, she actually stopped and pulled over on the side of the road as well to watch the soldier and the homeless man interact. Before driving away, she managed to snap a quick picture to share what she had seen.
Tammra decided to share the photo she had taken on Facebook to remind people that soldiers aren’t just tough fighters, but compassionate citizens as well.
“I would love for the world to see this picture because it is worth more than a thousand words. It is so heartwarming,” Tammra told a local news station. “I thought it was nice of the soldier to get out of his car and go talk to the man.”
Would you have been shocked to see someone go out of their way to sit and talk with a homeless person? Let us know what you think in the comments below, and please SHARE this amazing moment with friends on Facebook.
The 1978 Indian Child Welfare Act seeks to keep American Indian children with American Indian families.
This is the unfortunate law that the Page family fell subject too. Rusty and Summer Page from Santa Clarita, California recently had their foster daughter taken away from them because she is 1.56 % Choctaw Native American.
The parents began fostering now 6-year-old Lexi in 2011 after she was placed in two unsuccessful foster homes, including one where she was taken out because of a black eye and a scrape on her face.
In 2011, an “extended” family member of Lexi’s became aware that she was with a foster family and expressed interest in adopting her. Documents said that Lexi was related to the couple through her step-grandfather.
The Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services (LA DCFS) decided to place Lexi with the Utah family ‘in accordance with the federal Indian Child Welfare Act.’ Lexi has since been removed from the California home she has lived in for four years simply because she has a tiny sliver of Native American heritage.
The emotional scene played out on a live Facebook stream on March 21, 2016, and was watched by thousands of people.
The video showed a teary-eyed child, wearing a pink t-shirt and holding a teddy bear while Rusty Page carried her out of their home and into a black sedan as his wife yelled, “I love you Lexi” from the driveway.
Lexi told her father, “Don’t let them take me. I’m scared. I’m scared. Don’t let me go.” Rusty Page replied, “And I have to because the county of LA said I had to.”
In the following days, the Pages started an online petition called “Keep Lexi Home.”
“There is a 6-year-old little girl who is going to be ripped away from the only family that she has ever known. Her name is Lexi,” the petition said. “To Lexi this family is her everything — her mommy, daddy and brother and sisters.”
Since then, more than 90,000 people have signed the petition.
Lexi’s lawyer said the family is preparing to further challenge the decision at the California Supreme Court.
Watch this emotional and gut-wrenching footage of social services taking Lexi away from her family on Monday:
The family issued a statement on their Facebook page that night:

An Olympic hopeful and professional runner from Arizona has a lot more to be proud of these days than just her athletic accomplishments and happy family.
Stephanie Rothstein Bruce is training hard, hoping to join Team USA in this summer’s 2016 Olympic games in Rio de Janiero, Brazil, but recently she’s been making headlines for an even more inspiring reason.

The 32-year-old professional runner is also a mother of two adorable boys, who are only 15 months apart. As we learned in this incredibly powerful story about two pregnant friends, there is no perfect pregnancy body and Bruce only strengthens this idea, proving that not even a professional athlete can’t always “bounce back” to her pre-baby body all that easily.

Bruce has been chronicling her Olympic training on Instagram after she recently suffered from diastasis recti during her last pregnancy. This happens when the abdominal muscles split and move out to make room for pregnancy, causing the “pooch” many women develop.

Bruce wrote “I am partly self-conscious but you’ll still see me rocking my stomach in my sports bra and race kit when my body is ready. Lots of work to do to get these abs back together and rebuild my core,” promoting the hashtag #keepitreal and asking other women to follow her journey.
The mom told Peopleno one warned her of the physical changes her body might undergo. “It was really hard physically on my body and mentally, and as I was going through some things trying to get back into training, I was like, ‘Does this happen to all women?'”

“When I look down I see stretch marks that are here to stay, ab muscles that need continued strengthening, legs that are powerful, and feet that are ready to fly!” Bruce wrote on Instagram, inspiring women everywhere to be proud of their bodies.

Customers who visited Dutch Bros coffee in Vancouver, Washington on Saturday had no idea they’d be witnessing such a powerful scene.
A woman pulled up to the Dutch Bros drive-thru in tears that afternoon, when someone told baristas Pierce Dunn and Evan Freeman, “She’s just having a really bad day. Her husband passed.”
“As soon as she said that, I was like, ‘There’s nothing more you need to say. We got this. We’re going to do what we do every time we get someone who’s in pain or hurt. We’re going to give them our love.'”
Baristas Dunn and Freeman offered the grieving a free drink, and they stopped everything to take care of her.
They bowed their heads and held hands with the woman, and this powerful image was captured by Barbara Danner who posted the photo to her Facebook.
“When I saw the picture for me, it was just like, ‘Oh this is a normal day at work. Like we’re doing what we do everyday,’” says Freeman.
“If every single person … did an act of kindness and had a smile on their face every single day, the world would be a completely different place,” said Pierce.

What started off as just a friendship, turned into a full-blown romance for estate agent, Neelam Stocker and her hunky husband, tree surgeon, Mark.
The two met when they became mixed in the same social circles in 1997, and Neelam was 26 at the time studying in Law School. She admits needing somewhere to live, and money was so tight that her and Mark ended up renting together.
Over the following months, the two became close, but remained friends. Neelam told the sun.co.uk, “I’d always assumed he was into cheerleader types. I didn’t ever think he was out of my league though.”
Neelam continued, “Even though my dad died when I was only 14, he had always instilled in me that I was the best thing going. He’d say, ‘You’re not equal to a man, you’re far superior.'”
It’s something Neelam has never forgotten, and it’s blessed her with high self-esteem.
While Neelam’s friends continued to gush over Mark saying, “Oh isn’t he gorgeous,” Mark had his eyes on the one woman of his dreams- Neelam.
One night when Mark came home from work, the atmosphere in the room changed- it was totally different. Mark began to confess that he hated going to bed without talking to Neelam first, Neelam brushed it off.
But nearly one month later, Neelam found Mark nicely dressed, and she asked him if he was off to anywhere nice. She recalls, “He said that WE are going out. I still hadn’t realized he was asking me out on a date.”
That was the night the couple talking and laughed all evening, and it was to set the stage for their long-lasting relationship.
But, when the couple went public, Neelam had to get used to family and friends commenting on how “lucky” she was to have such a hot boyfriend. But Mark would always correct them saying he was the lucky one.
“I melted when he told me that I was the sexiest woman he had ever met,” she admits. “Even though I got used to dating someone as hot as Mark, women constantly hitting on him took some getting used to. One night after I’d watched an air hostess throw herself at him in front of me Mark, ever the gent, apologised to me. He always makes me feel special.”
Neelam added, “I get it though. He’s a hot muscly tree surgeon and I’m a dumpy estate agent. No wonder people think we’re so mismatched.”
She enjoys the days watching her hunky husband topless, and working on their property in the South of France.
“I’d ask myself how did I bag this hot fella?” she chuckles. “And then take snap after snap of the progress he was making on our dream home.”
Neelam has gotten used to the fact that people rarely believe her when she announces she is his wife. She says, “I’m flattered to have such a hot bloke on my arm – so what if he’s better looking than I am? We’re happy and that’s all that matters,” Neelam says.
Were you shocked when you realized these two were a couple?

They’re only eight months old, but these two pees in a pod have been through a lot.
Twins Leia and Lauren were born eight months ago to Amber Yong and Peter Lok, two Singapore parents who run this sweet Instagram account.
Leia and Lauren have a lot to be grateful for, as do their parents. The twins were MOMO twins, or monochorionic and monoamniotic. This just means they shared the same amniotic sac in the womb.
“It is an extremely high-risk pregnancy,” said Lok. “Therefore, they were delivered two months premature (not many realized that they are actually preemies).”
While the girls first few weeks of life were tense, they are not healthy, happy babies. Their crafty parents have taken to Instagram to share their journey and the little girls are gaining viral fame at a young age.
Take a look at what these cool parents have put together thus far:

Activist and artist are words rarely used to describe a dog, but this four-legged friend is making more than just a mess.
Meet Dagger, the dog that’s working as an artist and helping to raise money for animals in need. Dagger is doing such a good job his art is selling all over the world.
Dagger is a 3-year-old black lab that was adopted by owner Yvonne Dagger, and artist herself.
One day, while working in her Long Island studio, Dagger came and sat next to her. “He just started nudging me, and I said, ‘Dagger do you want to paint?'” she said. “So his tail started to wag. I said OK.”
So, the creative soul and artist handed her brush over to the dog. She made him a special handle from duct tape that allows him to hold the brush in his mouth and now he paints freestyle all day long if he chooses to do so.
We have a real Leonardo Dog-Vinci among us, and you will not believe how much these works are selling for. Patrons of the arts are donating $50 or more to gain one of these unique pieces.
All proceeds go to a canine charity and all treats go to Dagger.
I can’t stop cracking up at Dagger. He is a phenomenal dog and an even better painter. If you like this dog as much as we do, please SHARE with friends and family.
95-year-old George Gelfars from Rosyln Heights, New York, proves you’re never too old to try something new.
Gelfars is a World War II veteran who served in the 77th infantry of the U.S. Army. He has three children and five grandchildren, and is a widower.
George’s wife Florence sadly passed away last year, and she was the one who did all the cooking in the household. Since then George has decided to take over and with the help of Angela Andrews, a case workers from the Family and Children’s Association, George has a newfound skill- cooking.
Once a week Andrews visits Gelfars as part of a program to help the elderly with everyday chores.
Gelfars has learned to make his favorite dish- salmon with sautéed onions, brussels sprouts and sweet potato fries, and he plans to frequent the library and learn to cook new recipes.

2-year-old Vivian was in the midst of cancer treatment when she got a big surprise out her window.
Vivian has been undergoing chemotherapy for acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL), which is a cancer that affects the white blood cells that help fight infection and protect the body against disease.
Vivian has spent a lot of time on the ninth floor at St. Louis Children’s Hospital, and most of that time has been in isolation.
Vivian’s mom Ginger told USA Today, “so the doors remain closed. People come in with gowns and gloves and masks.” The only alternative for being outside for Vivian is to look outside. During Vivian’s entire stay at the hospital, construction workers were working on an expansion project in partnership with Barnes-Jewish Hospital.
“We’ve always watched the construction, from day one since we’ve been there,” Ginger said. “Vivian likes to hang out in the window and play with her figurines. She likes to wave and we watch the crane. And sometimes we get a wave back.”
But one day, two of the construction workers- Greg Combs and Travis Barnes, were trying to get Vivian’s attention.
“They were waving like crazy at us and pointing at the beam and it had ‘get well soon’ written on it,” Ginger said.
“It was so sweet,” dad Keith added. “It’s hard for [Vivian] to grasp the extent of it, but we know. And I know she’s not the only one they were waving at — a lot of kids play in the window. It just means so much. That they’re taking the time, that they’re doing this for the kids.”
Combs and Barnes really just wanted to cheer the young girl up, and said, “It was awesome. Just to see how something so little made her and her mom and dad so happy. That’s when it hits you.”

It’s not too often that a commercial brings tears to our eyes – and it usually doesn’t happen this time of year. That’s exactly why we knew we had to share the following clip with you. Just make sure you have your Kleenex ready…
Amazon may be really successful at turning us into mindless consumers, driven by the convenience of getting anything delivered to our doorsteps with just one click, but the following video shows that they know how to reach our hearts the old-fashioned way, too.
The following sweet commercial comes from Amazon Japan and it captures the common obstacle of what happens when pet parents turn into real parents. As you can see in this sweet video, dogs are often the first baby in a couple’s lives.
So when the new mother and father in the clip below bring home their tiny bundle of joy for the very first time, it hurts their beloved canine companion to see all the focus on the little guy.
However, Dad knows better than to let his fur kid feel like he’s not part of the family, so he gets a brilliant idea to make the baby and dog start the beginning of a beautiful friendship.
What happens next is guaranteed to put a big smile on your face!

It doesn’t matter if you’re pro gun control or always packing a pistol, we can all agree that what happens in this video is pretty awesome.
The debate about gun laws could go on forever and even though there are some people (like this pro-gun preaching mama who ended up getting herself shot by her little one) definitely shouldn’t be allowed to carry, the following clip from Musical Targets on YouTube proves that big guns can have a cool and completely non-violent use too.
Musical Targets’ co-founder Charles Oclassen explains on their website “We wanted to add a new dynamic to target shooting, and invite a whole new world of people to the sport.” As you can see in the clip, they do exactly that – encouraging sport shooting enthusiasts to make beautiful music instead of hunting.
In this video, one of the Musical Targets guys shows off his unique skill, playing our nation’s theme song in a way that left us extremely impressed. You’ve probably heard The Star-Spangled Banner hundreds of times in your lifetime, but we guarantee this performance will make you never hear those classic chords the same way again.

When most dogs see their dinner waiting for them, they don’t even wait 2 seconds before running over and digging in.
But this special golden retriever you’re about to see in the video below has a very different routine.
His owner has trained him to pray before eating his dinner, and only after his human says, “Amen,” is the dog allowed to eat.
While we do imagine it took a little training to get the dog to sit and listen to a prayer before eating, we do think it’s a beautiful practice. What’s a very more seconds before eating anyway? We imagine that a thankful dog is a happy dog.
