Anyone who lives in a major city is used to seeing garbage piled up on the sidewalk waiting to get picked up by garbage collectors, which is why one woman didn’t think anything was unusual when she saw a storage bin by other garbage outside of her work one morning.

However, soon after the woman heard what sounded like a baby crying, and when she went back outside she noticed a group of passerbyers had stopped and stood around the box. When they opened the box up, they discovered a newborn baby girl wrapped in a pink blanket with half a bag of milk and a small amount of money.

Luckily the baby was ok, but one young mother who was walking by could tell the baby was starving by her cries. Without hesitating, the unnamed 26-year-old took the baby, sat on the ground with her, and began breastfeeding her.

Soon after, police arrived to take the baby, who is suspected to have cerebral palsy, from the selfless new mom who stepped up and cared for the starving baby when no one else did, and bring her to the Xianyang City Social Welfare institute.

Woman Breastfeeds Starving Baby Found In A Box On The Street is an article from: LifeDaily

Moms like to think they have eyes in the back of their heads, and an extra pair of hands when it comes to watching over their kids, but even the most protective mothers turn their attention away from their little ones when they’re sure nothing bad could happen.

While this new mom was terrified of leaving her 6-week-old alone for too long, she knew nothing was going to happen to baby Elsarose if she walked into the other room for a minute after setting her on the couch for her nap.

Mom was only gone for a minute, however, when she came back to her 6-week-old, she found her daughter had some adorable four-legged babysitters keeping guard.

Nelda, mom’s 8-month-old Labrador Retriever, jumped up on the couch beside baby Elsarose, laid down, and placed a protective paw over her belly to make sure she was safe, and Pebbles the kitten stood guard on top of Nelda for any danger.

When Brittany Benesh’s 4-year-old son Ayden accidentally hit his head after jumping into a huge pile of laundry, he was embarrassed to go to school. 

Benesh tells ABC News, “The next morning, as we are getting ready to leave, Ayden is crying about leaving because he doesn’t like the big cut on his forehead, and that’s when the idea came to me.”

Mom decided to turn Ayden’s cut into Harry Potter’s famous lightning bolt. She’s a huge fan of the series, so using a red marker, Benesh transformed Ayden’s cut using a red marker, and completed the look with a pair of round glasses. 

“Ayden loved his transformation and was ready to get on with his day,” Benesh said. 

She told ABC News she didn’t expect the photos to go viral when she posted them to Imgur, she received over 500,000 views. 

Benesh posted the photo with the caption, “It’s okay, mommy can fix this…”

Mom Uses Son’s Forehead Cut To Turn Him Into Harry Potter is an article from: LifeDaily

Antonette White may be one of the only students who had a college degree before she had a high school diploma. 

Last Saturday, 17-year-old Antonette attended her junior college graduation at Illinois Central College, and one day later she went to her graduation at Dunlap High School. 

When Antonette was just 8-years-old, she sat in the back of her dad’s sociology class which he taught, and learning was always around her. At just 13, White tested Antonette to see if she could place into college classes, and she tested at the college level for English and Math. White told Today.com that he obtained permission from the dean of ICC for Antonette to start taking night classes.

Antonette’s goal was never to graduate from both schools at the same time, it just worked out that way. 

“I can’t say it was to finish (junior college) early,” Antonette said. “There was no plan to it. I just found out that if I could do more, why not? It was just me pushing myself to be the best I could be.”

“We took it extremely slow at first,” Antonette’s father said. “She started off with just one class, an entry-level English class, and it went from there.”

Antonette was dually enrolled in high school and ICC, where she took night classes to eventually obtain her associate’s degree. “I had to find a balance that worked well where I was completing all my classes,” she said. But after finishing with a 3.9 grade-point average at Dunlap and a 3.6 at ICC, Antonette did more than just find a balance. Antonette’s friends were not at all surprised when they learned Antonette earned two diplomas in one weekend.

“When my friends found out about it all being on the same weekend, they all thought it was funny,” she told Today.com. “They were all so supportive of it.”

She continues to an inspiration to everyone around her, and Antonette plans to enter Illinois State University as a Junior in the fall.

This adorable video was posted on Sydney radio presenters Kyle and Jackie O’s Facebook page with the caption: “These six husky puppies found sun-baking on St. Kilda’s beach over the weekend are everything!”

The fluffy black and white huskies are seen laying on the beach lounging in the sand, looking especially curious as their owner takes a photo.

One husky has even sunk itself so much into position, that it seems unable to move.

While many people are commenting that this is cruel to do to dogs, others have praised the photo saying, “We need to go to Melbourne! There are puppies sunbathing!” 

Huskies have been bred for cold weather, they are still able to use their undercoat to regulate their temperature and adapt to warmer climates.

Six Husky Puppies Sunbathe At The Beach is an article from: LifeDaily

Rabbi Elimelech Goldberg, also known as Rabbi G, has helped more than 5,000 children suffering from cancer by teaching them martial arts.

But he doesn’t just teach any old martial arts. Rabbi G believes that pain, fear, and stress caused by cancer can be relieved through martial arts, meditation, and breathing exercises. 

Rabbi G founded Kids Kicking Cancer in 1999, and it is a nonprofit that offers free classes to children as young as 3, who are battling serious illnesses. 

During one of his classes, TODAY interviewed one student- Naki Thomas, who said: 

“Karate makes me feel stronger and powerful to myself and to everything I’ve been going through.”

And many other children feel the same way. 8-year-old Lexi, who was diagnosed with leukemia in 2013, said that the classes have taught her how to face the unknown with a sense of calm and purpose. She is now cancer-free and has recently earned her yellow belt!

Lexi says, “When I power breathe, they really help me when I have to get like finger pokes. It’s where you have a needle, and they poke it in your finger and you wear it on your body. It’s something that makes the poke like you don’t even feel it.”

Rabbi G explains that his daughter, Sara Basya, who died from leukemia in 1981 at just 2-years-old, is his inspiration for starting his organization. He explains that martial arts is an incredible power, and says, “The children of Kids Kicking Cancer every day are teaching no matter what we face in our lives, we can respond with greatness.”

Rabbi Turns Child Victims Of Cancer Into Victors With Martial Arts is an article from: LifeDaily

While sitting at a restaurant one evening with his sons, one dad watched as they busied themselves with the crayons and paper that was provided, but he couldn’t help but wonder what happened to the crayons after being used or broken.

Bryan Ware asked the waiter what happened to the crayons and was stunned to hear they had to throw them away.”They said they had to throw them away after it’s been on the table,” Ware said. “So that to me was just kind of a spark; there’s got to be something we could do with them.”

In order to reduce the 75,000 pounds of waste that crayons contributed to each year, Ware came up with the idea of collecting used and broken crayons from restaurants and schools, melting them down, and remolding them in a handmade mold so kids in need could have something to play with.

With donations from local restaurants and schools in San Fransisco, Ware is able to collect 500 pounds of used crayons each week, which he melts down and gives to hospitals for free for young and special needs patients.

“You would be surprised the things that come out when you put a piece of paper and some crayons in a kid’s hand,” Sara Devaney, who worked with the Children’s Hospital in Oakland, said. “It’s as important to their healing as the medications that they receive.”

“It provides them the ability to be whatever they want to be,” Ware said. “Dream whatever they want to be. That right there is why we do this.”

Tiny babies are basically just ticking time bombs of bodily fluids that can, and do explode at often the most inconvenient times.

Ben Patterson had agreed to watch the kids one weeknight so that his wife Stephanie could have a kid-free night out with friends. “I was supposed to watch the kids, so my wife and I swapped cars after work so she could head out with some friends,” Ben wrote in a post to Facebook.

After swapping cars, everything was going great as Ben drove home with son Declan behind him in his car seat, but the pleasant drive came to a screeching halt when the smell of fresh vomit filled the car.

“I just threw up trying to clean him up. It smells SO BAD,” Ben texted his wife after pulling over and trying to clean up the pungent mess. “I seriously don’t know what to do, I’m barfing every time I try to clean him up.”

Before long, a stranger spotted Ben as he puked on the side of the road, and accused him of drunk driving with his baby in the car.

“I’m puking on some lady’s lawn in Burlingame and she comes out to ask me if I’m drunk while driving the kids. I’m trying to explain that I’m a sympathetic vomiter and can’t handle the smell. This is so bad.”

Ben soon realized he was just making the mess worse, and had to drive the rest of the way home in the vomit-filled car with his nose and mouth covered by his shirt and his head half out the window.

Security footage captured the horrific moment the young girl’s own father and uncle attacked her and stabbed her with knives for an ‘honor killing‘ because of the disgrace she brought to the family.

The heroic cow became angry when it realized the two bigger men were preying on a defenseless girl and pounced on the two as it chased them away from Seema.

Hero Cow Stops Thugs Who Start Stabbing A Little Girl is an article from: LifeDaily

For many mothers, giving birth is an exciting yet terrifying ordeal, so being able to choose the form of delivery can help provide a sense of control when so many other things are entirely outside of their control.

So when Sarah Saunders, from Devon, UK, was told she would have to deliver her baby through a caesarean section instead of the natural birth she had been planning for, she was devastated but settled on the next best thing: a ‘natural c-section‘.

“If you are unable to give birth ‘naturally’ than having a natural caesarean is the next best thing!” Saunders wrote in the caption that accompanied her delivery video.

Traditional c-sections involve doctors quickly and often forcefully pulling the baby out of the womb, whereas natural c-sections allow the infant to crawl out of the womb mostly on its own.

“The baby remains in the abdomen for up to four minutes and the mother can look at it, see its little face and when it wriggles out it is the parents that first determine the sex,” Jenny Smith, a senior midwife at the Queen Charlotte’s and Chelsea Hospital, said.

‘It is about the mother. After the incision is made the mother is able to see her little baby wriggle out. It is a special moment that is missed otherwise,” Smith said.

Mom Lets Baby Deliver Itself So She Can Have A ‘Natural’ C-Section is an article from: LifeDaily

More than 10 women in the Toronto area claiming they were given identical 3D images of their child at Pickering, Ontario prenatal imaging clinic. 

The identical images come after a woman named Jenn Cusimano posted a picture from her ultrasound to Facebook, and another mother-to-be, Carolyn Yao, posted what appears to be the exact same photo. Cusimano says hers was taken on May 3, and the Yao’s was supposedly taken on April 9.

It turns out that the image does appear to be identical and it also appears on the company’s website. 

When CTV News reached out to BabyView Clinic, the owner’s husband, Adeel Mir said: 

“We have specific folders for every client. So we keep those images in those folders to get the print-out. Due to some virus, those images were not going into those specific folders, which were created for those clients. To be honest we still don’t know what happened,” he said he only learned of the replica on Wednesday morning. 

“I apologize on behalf of BabyView,” Mir continued. “We are sorry. Whatever occurred, this was not intentional. It wasn’t our intention. We feel sorry for those parents who didn’t get the proper service. We’re sorry for that.”

Cusimano explains to CTVNews that she was immediately enraged. “I thought ‘Maybe it was a mistake’, but there was something telling me it wasn’t,” she said. She continued, “I’ve pretty much had no sleep, I’ve been up all night shaking. The anxiety, the stress, the disappointment. I can’t even begin to imagine how someone could do this or even think they could get away with it, in this day and age.”

At least 10 women from the clinic have reported getting the same ultrasound photo, and Cusimano has even created a Facebook group for the women to post their photos. 

Cusimano has plans to go to another 3D ultrasound clinic to confirm her baby’s gender and receive new photos.

Moms Are Appalled After Receiving Identical Ultrasound Photos From Clinic is an article from: LifeDaily

Parents all over the world are gushing over a photo of a father and son practicing skin-to-skin contact with the family’s newest additions: a set of twins. 

This touching photo was originally shared last year on the Swedish Facebook page, Forældre og Fødsel,  but was recently translated to English and shared on the NINO Birth’s Facebook page on Saturday. 

Originally written in Danish, the post describes that practicing skin-to-skin contact for newborns has many benefits for babies and especially newborns. According to the post, premature babies, weighing as little as 1.5lbs, can be placed on the parents chest for skin-to-skin contact.

Swedish Professor, Uwe Ewald, discussed his research on skin-to-skin contact at the Hvidovre Hospital in Denmark, saying that even very small premature babies are taken out of the incubator to be skin to skin with their parents as much as possible. 

Also known as Kangaroo Care, Ewald explains that skin-to-skin contact isn’t just for bonding: It actually regulates a premature baby’s body temperature more effectively than an incubator, and also promotes weight gain and better breathing for tiny babies. When placing your baby on your skin, you are populating the child with your bacterial flora, as opposed to the hospitals. 

According to NINO birth’s Facebook, additional benefits of skin-to-skin contact include stress reduction and promotion of breastfeeding. 

As if snuggling with your child is the best thing in the world, now there’s one more reason to do it!

Father And Son Practice Skin-To-Skin Contact With Newborn Twins In Beautiful Photo is an article from: LifeDaily

A WWII veteran from Colorado was just reunited with a Holocaust survivor whom he set free 71 years ago, and the entire moment was captured on camera. 

WWII veteran, Sid Shafner, 94, was recently honored at a Holocaust Remembrance ceremony, for helping to liberate 30,000 prisoners from the Dachau Concentration Camp in southern Germany in 1945. There, he was able to reunite with one of the prisoners, 19-year-old Marcel Levy, who is now 90. 

Shafner tells ABC News that “his convoy was stopped by a Jew named Marcel.” 

Marcel told him in Yiddish, “‘You have to leave your route and divert to help us,’ which he did.” Shafner and Levy became close friends and established an instant bond, Peter Weintraub, president of Friends of the Israel Defense Forces, told ABC News. 

On May 10th, at an Israeli military base, Shafner and Levy were reunited after 71 years.

In the emotional video below, the two embraced with hugs, kisses, and tears, while family and friends look on. 

“Everything I have today, all of my children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, is due to you, Sid,” Levy told Shafner, according to Weintraub.

“Sid is crying tears of joy,” Weintraub added. “We have done this trip several times but never have we reunited survivors and liberators.” FIDF sponsored the reunion as part of its “From Holocaust to Independence” delegation to Poland and Israel.

WWII Vet Reunites With Man He Saved From Concentration Camp 71 Years Ago is an article from: LifeDaily

Because of tragedies involving guns that have plagued schools across the country, many districts have been forced to ban all weapons, even harmless toy versions, from school property in an effort to keep everyone safe and avoid false alarms.

Emma, a Colorado mother, was always glad there were rules like this put in place to protect her 5-year-old daughter in kindergarten, which is why she was shocked when the school called her to inform her that her daughter was being suspended for bringing a gun to school.

Emma couldn’t figure out where her daughter could have gotten her hands on a gun, but when she picked her up from school, she saw that the ‘gun’ they were talking about was really a princess themed bubble maker.

“If they had contacted me and said can you make sure this doesn’t happen again, we just want you to be aware, I think that would have been a more appropriate way to handle the situation. Could we have a warning? It blows bubbles,” Emma said.

Despite clearly not being a threat to anyone, the school is sticking to their zero-tolerance policy. “While we hear and understand the parents of this student being concerned about this discipline in light of the student’s age and type of item, this suspension is consistent with our district policy,” school spokesman Kevin Denke said.

“I don’t want her to miss out on class. That’s a silly reason not to go to school. What bugs me is this is going to be something they can refer to if we have any issues in the future which I don’t foresee, but it’s always going to be lingering there in her school file,” the frustrated mom said.

Mom Is Outraged After 5-Year-Old Gets Suspended For Bringing A Toy To Class is an article from: LifeDaily

She was thrilled to hear the news, but her son and daughter-in-law, Nancy Marra, weren’t as convinced when she shared what the psychic had told her.

However, they were turned into believers when they finally got pregnant and discovered there were not just one but two babies growing in mom’s belly.

When it was time to share the exciting news, the couple decided to show mom the sonogram, and as expected, she completely loses it and breaks down in tears.

Grandma Can’t Contain Her Excitement When Her Son Shows Her This On A Sonogram is an article from: LifeDaily

Life on the streets as a homeless dog is hard enough as it is, and when this injured mother pit bull gave birth to her three pups, staying alive became even more difficult.

Rather than just abandon her pups and fend for herself, this mom stuck by her pups all day in a makeshift den in an overgrown bush, and only left them for short times during the night when it was safe to look for food and water.

While this mom tried her hardest to stay hidden and safe, someone eventually noticed her and called Hope For Paws, an animal rescue organization in Los Angeles, to save her and her pups.

When rescuers got to the scene where the pit bull, who they later named Iris, was last spotted, they searched for a long time before hearing some rustling in a bush. “Finding Iris was difficult, but it could have been dangerous… we didn’t know how she would react when we entered her den, and there is always a risk when going to these rough neighborhoods in the middle of the night,” the rescue organization said.

Iris was petrified and could have easily run away when rescuers found her den, but she refused to leave her babies. Luckily, the team was able to gently coax her and her weeks-old puppies out safely.

Heroes Rescue Injured, Homeless Mother Dog And Her Babies From Hidden Den is an article from: LifeDaily

On Monday, soldiers marched to the home of a 13-year-old boy who won a battle of his own, against stage 4 cancer. 

Christian Lopez, from Dorchester, Massachusetts is now in remission, and to honor him, his aunt, retired master sergeant, Mariana Shorter, organized a march.

Shorter told ABC News, “My family thinks I’m the hero because I fought wars, but the real hero is my sister and my nephew. All I did was to honor his mother’s wishes. I want this story to be about my courageous sister.”

Christian has always been enamored by soldiers, so Shorter called the U.S. Army Recruiting Command in Boston, who were more than happy to make the trip. 

“They were very eager to do it. The general was crying excessively. He said, ‘This has given my family hope. I have a 15-year-old grandson who is in the hospital right now with a tumor in his head,’” Shorter told ABC. 

When the soldiers made their way to Christian’s home, he was in tears. Family and friends looked on, and there wasn’t a dry eye in sight. Christian’s mother, Christina Ribeiro, said, “It was by the grace of God that all of this happened. He always asked me, ‘Mama, why is this happening? Why is this happening?’ and I would say, ‘Everything happens for a reason.’ Now I say, ‘God gave it to you, and he took it right back.'”

Ribeiro continues saying that her son has the spirit of a soldier.

“He is the only child I’ve seen who after chemo and radiation wants to go outside and play baseball. Nothing kept him down. He never gave up,” she said.

When dad handed his adorable son a pack of toilet paper, he hugged it and said, “I love this toilet paper!”  

Dad even asked his son again, “Do you love this toilet paper? I got it all for you.” And the little boy hugs the toilet paper and responds, “Aw, thank you.”

It was the sweetest thing we’ve ever seen! These parents should be very proud of how they raised their son.

She continued, “Whoever gets mad about this I also fed my son at the church ceremonie IN the church. Here in Germany people don’t get mad about it. It is NORMAL . Nothing rude or bad about it. This is why I have breasts! Cause God gave me boobs for feeding my babies.”

Naomi is from Vilseck, Germany, and her husband is in the U.S. army and is currently deployed for nine months.

Naomi said she is aware that tons of moms are scared to feed their babies in public, especially at big events like weddings.

“I wanted to show that it’s literally no big deal to breastfeed, no matter the circumstances,” she told BuzzFeed.

She also said that the wedding guests were happy for TJ to be fed. “It’s just normal – you have conversations with people while feeding the child.” Guests even helped Naomi unhook her dress. “It is nothing sexual,” she said. “It’s just another person eating.”

Some Instagram users had negative things to say about Naomi’s photo, like “hide under a rock,” and “throw a blanket on.” But Naomi responds saying that her son TJ would have ripped it off in no time.
