Cafeteria workers are supposed to ensure all students have a tasty, nutritious meal during lunchtime, which is why one Pennsylvania cafeteria worker was crushed when the school told her she had to start taking meals away instead of giving them out.

As part of a new policy, the Canon-McMillan School District had started shaming students if their parents haven’t paid their overdrawn lunch accounts, but within a few weeks of starting school, cafeteria worker Stacy Koltiska already had to take food away from two students and was so disgusted that she quit her job immediately.

The first week of school on Friday, I had to take a little first grade boys chicken and give him this “cheese sandwich”. I will never forget the look on his face and then his eyes welled up with tears,” said Stacy who planned to resign right away, but forgot after her mother passed away that weekend. “I forgot about it until yesterday when it happened again. I had the same sick feeling so today I resigned.”

According to the new policy, which parents were notified about in a newsletter over the summer, if $25 or more is owed to the district for lunches, students from grades K-6 will not be given a hot meal. Instead, parents were told they would be given a sandwich. And if kids in older grades have a lunch debt of $25 or more, they will get absolutely nothing.

“In Rule 808.1 it says that children in K through 6 will be provided a ‘Sandwich,’ Stacy wrote in a post to Facebook to warn parents. “What You don’t know is that they are being given One Piece of Cheese on Bread. This isn’t even being toasted. Yet they are still being charged the FULL PRICE of a HOT LUNCH that is being DENIED to them.”

“What makes this even MORE SICKENING is that we throw so much food away EVERYDAY. So Our Children are being served cheese, being charged and denied the hot food that we then throw away. Once again, it comes down to Profits Over People but this time the People are Our Children,” the frustrated mom wrote. “I’m not saying the parents shouldn’t be held accountable, but I think there has to be a better way than involving the children.”

One Australian couple knew how easily babies could choke or swallow small items and always made sure nothing dangerous was within reach. However, they never realized the one deadly item that they left lying around the entire house inside toys, remotes, and even some greeting cards.

Last January, Allison Rees found her 14-month-old crying and vomiting, which was odd considering nothing had been wrong just the night before. Rees and her husband rushed baby Isabella to the hospital, but were sent home when she stopped vomiting and appeared to be fine.

The concerned parents ended up bringing Isabella back to the hospital several times within two weeks, and each time they failed to realize that baby Isabella had swallowed a tiny but deadly battery that had been lodged in her throat.

On January 4th, Allison found Isabella lying in her crib, soaked in a pool of blood. They rushed her straight to the ER as she vomited up dried blood. Doctors finally took an x-ray, and realized what was wrong, but Isabella tragically passed away on the operating table from cardiac arrest.

“What we would give to have another chance to hear your voice, to feel your kiss and to see you grow. Our hearts are broken,” said the Rees family, who have spread her story and created Bella’s Footprints to warn other parents about how dangerous batteries can be if swallowed by small children and how easy they are for kids to get their hands on.

If you’re a Grandma or Grandpa then you know it’s basically your duty and God-given right to spoil your grandchild rotten.

For one cool grandpa, he took those spoiling responsibilities to the extreme when he bought his granddaughter the biggest teddy bear in the world.

5-month old Maddie Gonzalez was born to Sabrina Gonzalez earlier this year. Here’s a photo of the two:

So when Grandpa posted a photo of himself with the enormous bears, Sabrina humorously commented, “Maddie needs one of those.”

Mom wasn’t serious, but that didn’t stop Grandpa from getting it anyway.

Sabrina told Buzzfeed, “next thing I know, I receive a text from him saying he bought her one.”

And that’s how the tiny 5-month-old who’s smaller than a watermelon ended up with a Teddy Bear bigger than a pickup truck.

Sabrina said they will make sure the bear doesn’t topple over and crush Maddie with its weight…since, you know, it’s bigger than an actual bear.

But Maddie doesn’t seem to mind:

Like most parents, Amy Stinton thought it was adorable when people gushed over her 14-month-old baby boy named Oliver, cuddled him, and kissed his chubby cheeks. However, she never realized that it was putting her son at risk of contracting a deadly virus.

When baby Oliver first started breaking out in angry looking red sores all over his body, Amy thought it was chicken pox. But when the small spots grew to raw patches, she took him straight to the doctor, who told her that the sores were actually the herpes virus.

“This is what happens to babies when in contact with a cold sore. Oliver now has the herpes virus and will have this for life,” said Amy, who was devastated after finding out that Oliver contracted the virus, as it will never go away and can be deadly at his age.

“Think before you kiss a baby next time,” Amy explained in a post to Facebook to warn parents and strangers about kissing babies since most adults carry the virus, and many have no clue they even have it. “No point in blaming people, I just wanna make people aware. It could have happened months ago as he was run done when it appeared. Just a shame he will always have it.”

Baby Catches Herpes After Someone Gives Him A Kiss is an article from: LifeDaily

Sometimes, when I’m feeling lazy, I’ll go a few too many weeks without a haircut and let my short bob get a little too shaggy.

However, an Australian sheep has a leg up on me when it comes to going too long without a haircut. The following famous sheep was discovered stuck in the Australian bush in 2015.

At first, the hiker was startled. It looked like a cotton ball on steroids had fallen rom the sky. Then, he realized it as a sheep in need of some serious assistance.

Chris, as his rescuer decided to call him, had apparently been separated from his flock 5 or 6 years earlier. For that whole time, Chris wandered the wilderness and accumulated too much wool.

In fact, Chris’s wool had ballooned to be about 5 times the amount of a typical sheep.

“Help!” tweeted Tammy Ven Dange from the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals in Australia. The RSPCA “needs help from a shearer immediately to hopefully save this sheep we just rescued!”

And a shearer stepped up to the plate. A team sedated the poor animal got a group together that could properly sheer the overgrown animal.

In the end, they removed 89 pounds of wool, clocking in at the largest amount of wool ever removed from a sheep in one sitting.

Now that wool is on display in a museum and Chris is happy and once again in safe hands.

After loosing all that wool, Chris’s standard of living has vastly improved.

Sheep Sheds 89 Pounds Of Wool After Being Lost For Five Years is an article from: LifeDaily

Jennifer Elizabeth Green-Johnson, of Dunnville, Ontario has been suspended without pay after she allegedly asked a student, “why don’t you lick me where I fart?”

The board is taking a month to investigate the report among others that call into question whether or not the teacher’s behavior is acceptable in the classroom. Green-Johnson teaches grades 10-12 at Dunville Secondary School in Ontario, so while the teacher is being called out for being a potty mouth, this probably isn’t the first time those students have heard such vulgarities.

Other incidents surrounding the “cool” English teacher have involved swearing and vulgarity in the classroom.

The teacher was also suspended last year, during a previous incident in March 2015. She had been accused of slapping a male student and telling him to “grow some balls.”

According to the Brantford Expositor, the teacher had additionally used slurs and inappropriate names in the classroom. She reportedly called students, “stupid, idiots, gay, and a b*tch.”

Because of this language, Green-Johnson is accused of abusing students “verbally” and “psychologically or emotionally,” but some say the board is taking it too far. Defendants of her behavior say Green-Johnson is simply trying to relate to the students and be seen as a peer and mentor, but to others, it has obviously not been interpreted that way.

‘Cool’ Teacher Is Put On Unpaid Leave After Telling Student “Why Don’t You Lick Me Where I Fart?” is an article from: LifeDaily

Two orphans- a little boy and a little girl, who grew up together in a Chinese orphanage shared a tear-jerking reunion shortly after their friendship began. 

4-year-old Hannah was adopted by the Sykes family in north Texas, and as they were looking over her adoption materials, they noticed in nearly every picture, Hannah was holding hands and playing with one little boy. Hannah’s new mom, Sharon Sykes, learned this little boy was Hannah’s best friend at the orphanage. The two kids shared the same weekend foster mother and were even known to call each other brother and sister.

The Sykes were determined to find this little boy a loving home, so they posted about him on Facebook to see if anyone was interested in adopting him. A couple from the same area as the Sykes, decided to make the little boy a part of their family and named him Dawson. 

“Once we met him and saw the interaction in the orphanage, it was heartbreaking,” Sharon Sykes told HLN on Thursday. “I didn’t sleep that whole night, thinking, ‘Oh my gosh, we have to find him a family.’” Her husband Andy Sykes said, “I couldn’t believe how quick it happened, and Sharon, I give my beautiful wife here a lot of credit because she really spent a lot of time and used social media as an outlet to find the little guy a home.”

The Sykes, and Dawson’s new parents, the Clarys, decided to reunite the two best friends, and they met at Dallas-Fort Worth airport. Dawson’s mom Amy Clary told KTVT, They must have hugged 400 times! They kept hugging and getting so giddy that they would fall over.”

Because of Sharon Sykes act of love, the two children now live just minutes away from one another. They are over the moon every time they see each other, and Dawson’s dad, Chris Clary describes their connection as “priceless.” Besides the kids, the adoptive parents have become friends too. The families have hung out every day since Amy returned from China with Dawson. 

“Ever since we’ve met the Clarys, we’re now like best friends,” Sharon Sykes said, “and (Hannah and Dawson) will be seeing each other on a regular basis — at least weekly, if not more.”

However, customers of The Fuzzy Butt Stops Here learned the horrifying truth when an ex-employee secretly filmed owner and groomer Mironda Henning cursing at a customer’s dog, brushing it harshly, and slamming it around on the grooming table.

The white, fluffy dog named Gidget was so traumatized from the violent grooming session that he actually vomited and defecated out of fear.

This past August, Mironda was charged with a misdemeanor and forced to pay a $1,000 fine, but many customers and local animal owners don’t think the punishment is enough for her crime and plan to protest outside the business to warn other customers about how they treat animals.

“Animals can’t speak for themselves, so it’s our part to speak for them,” the protest’s organizer said.

Client Catches Groomer Abusing Her Beloved Pup In Secret Video is an article from: LifeDaily

Disciplining your children is just part of being a parent, and at some point, everyone will have to punish their child for naughty behaviour. However, one Texas mom is claiming one dad abused his daughter after seeing the way he ‘disciplined’ his own child in public.

During a trip to Walmart in Cleveland, Texas, Erika Burch couldn’t help but hear a little girl crying and begging her dad to stop. When she turned to look, she saw the father dragging the girl by her hair, which he tied around the shopping cart like a leash.

“He had her hair wrapped around the buggy dragging her! She is begging him to stop! She was saying ‘Please stop, I promise I won’t do it again please stop!’,” said mom Erika Burch, who started snapping pictures of the man as proof.

Erika asked the man to stop doing that to the girl, but she rudely replied that she needed to mind her own business and she immediately called the police. “The sergeant in Cleveland Tx said ‘He has the right to discipline his children!’ What in the hell!!!! Dragging a little girl by the hair of her head is not proper discipline,” Erika wrote in a post to Facebook after being told  the dad was not technically doing anything wrong.

“They couldn’t take him to jail because there were no visible bruises nor was her hair missing!! This is after I show him pictures of this idiot dragging this baby pulling her hair!! He said in order for it to be abuse there had to be bodily injury to the child.”

“This is what’s wrong with the world today! Nobody stands up for anyone not even children!! Now this baby had to go home with this monster thinking that nobody cared about her and it’s ok for this animal to pull her by the hair of her head!!!! This is beyond wrong and something needs to be done about it,” Erika wrote in the post, which has since been shared over 100,000 times.

When parents send their kids off to school, they trust that the teachers and staff have their children’s best interest in mind and provide a safe nurturing environment for their kids, which is why one mom was furious after her daughter came home from school in tears after a teacher forbid her from going to the bathroom.

On average, school-aged kids need to use the bathroom anywhere from four to ten times a day, but the school is convinced that anything more than five times over nine weeks is abusing bathroom priveledges. In order to keep kids going in and out of class to use the bathroom, the school decided to adopt an extremely strict and unhealthy policy where kids get detention after using the bathroom more than five times in over two months.

So when one 12-year-old asked the teacher to go to the bathroom, the teacher refused because she had already used up her five passes. She was then forced to sit in class and bleed through her pants since she had gotten her period for the first time.

“She said she asked the teacher but the teacher told her no unless she wanted to explain why she needed to go,” the girl’s furious mom wrote on Reddit under the username p_i_see_you. ” A 12-year-old girl shouldn’t have to stand up in front of her class and tell everyone she’s on her period. She was pretty upset and apologized, I’m more upset the school would allow this. ”

“There is nothing in the school policy about this five-time bathroom limit, the kids only have 3 minutes in between classes, she’s not allowed to go during lunch, and if she gets too many detentions she’s off her softball team! When did schools agree that going to the bathroom is a privilege and not a right?!”

Girl Gets Detention For Going To The Bathroom is an article from: LifeDaily

After one animal-loving driver saw a terrified kitten in the middle of a busy highway, they pulled over immediately since the tiny creature wouldn’t last much longer without getting hit.

Incredibly, the driver managed to run onto the highway and scoop up the cat before either of them got squished. At first, the tiny kitten looked like a lost or stray house cat, but once back in the car, the driver noticed a few strange features on the cat. It had an oddly short and stumpy tail, pointy ears, and wide eyes and realized it was a wild bobcat kitten.

The rescuer immediately put the kitten in a cardboard box and taped it up in fear that it would attack, and brought it straight to the vet, where they confirmed the baby was a wild bobcat. Jamie Veronica from Big Cat Rescue later came to pick the kitten up and get her the care she needed.

“We had to un-tape that box and put on some really thick work gloves so that we could transfer her to our crate. She was very feisty right off from the start. She didn’t want to be picked up, so she was hissing and growling and nipping at the gloves,” said Veronica, who explained that that was a good sign. “We don’t want them to be nice or friendly towards people. So she was being exactly what she should be — a wild bobcat.”

“A lot of times, when they’re doing a lot of development in the area, it displaces the animals that live in that forest. They start to move to try to find new territories to live in, and start crossing roads that they normally wouldn’t, and during that time they can get easily separated from their parents if there are cars going by,” said Veronica, who plans to rehabilitate the kitten and let her grow for about two months before releasing her back into the wild.

Woman Saves Wild Baby Bobcat From Busy Highway is an article from: LifeDaily

When you’re a new mom, you have too much to worry about: diapers, feeding, cleaning, and much more.

For one UK Mom, the last thing she thought she needed to think about was whether or not her cat was near her baby’s bottle.

Chelsea-Ann Dodd didn’t think twice about it until her 3-week-old daughter contracted Meningitis from the house pet.

The cat had licked Sparkle’s baby bottle, leaving behind the deadly disease for Sparkle to later pick up.

Dodd said, “the doctors said she was only the 39th person in the world known to picked up that particular strain of meningitis.”

“She was just three weeks old and very vulnerable. It was very frightening,” Dodd said.

Now, the child has made a full recovery and lives a healthy life. She and Chesney still live together and there is no chance the cat will infect Sparkle with meningitis again.

She just grateful this terrifying experience has been put in the past and we are too.

Yes, you read that correctly. The kitten had something breathing inside his ear that definitely shouldn’t have been there.

One man made a highly regrettable choice when he hopped on his computer after taking a dose of sleeping pills. He navigated the web for a bit and for some strange reason, suddenly decided it would be a good idea to purchase a yak.

Yup, we’re talking about a very large (and sometimes aggressive) farm animal here, which calls into question why it’s so easy to purchase such a commodity online.

According to the posting on reddit, the yak cost $3075.99. He even posted a photo to show the legitimacy of the purchase, though we’ll never know for sure exactly how legitimate these things are.

“Oh I’m sure you would’ve all liked for me to just let them deliver it, but a) My apartment complex would boot my ass on to the street. The only thing worse than being homeless is being a homeless yak owner. b) My beagle Lucy would lose her motherf*cking mind. c) I’m an astrophysicist, not Baron Moneybags Von Richf*ck so I can’t just spend $3,000 on a yak to amuse the Internet.”

And there you have it, folks. He did not come to own a yak, but at least he managed to give us all a chuckle.

Doctors at the Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center took on Jacob Miller’s case and pushed for him to have gastric bypass surgery in an attempt to save the teen’s life. In the weeks leading up to his 2013 surgery, Jacob lost weight due to a strict diet, but after the successful procedure, his body drastically changed.

This young man may struggle with weight loss for the rest of his life, but you can’t argue that these heroic doctors saved his life.

15-Year-Old Who Weighs 707 Pounds Undergoes Shocking Surgery is an article from: LifeDaily

One father’s crime became a miracle and left many speechless.

In early 2015, a desperate father pulled his gun on hospital staffers in order to keep his son on life support, but what followed was more than just a criminal act.

According to KPRC, George Pickering III suffered a massive stroke and ended up on life support as a result. His father, George Pickering II was desperate to keep his son alive and would stop at nothing until his son made that full recovery.

“They were saying he was brain dead. He was a vegetable,” Pickering II told KPRC.

In fact, while his son was still on life support, the hospital started making arrangements with organ donation centers since the patient was a donor. His father was not okay with this.

“I knew if I had three or four hours that night that I would know whether George was brain dead. I had blinders on. All I knew I just needed to have this time with George,” Pickering III said.

SWAT officers showed up to negotiate with the desperate father, but he was eventually disarmed by his other son. In the time of the standoff, he says something strange happened. Pickering III got the sign he was searching for.

“George squeezed my hand three or four times on command,” he said and after seeing these signs, he surrendered to police.

“There was a law broken, but it was broken for all the right reasons. I’m here now because of it,” said George Pickering III months later.

“It was love. It was love. It’s the duty of a parent to protect your children and that’s all he did. Everything good that made me a man is because of that man sitting next to me.”

As far as the legalities go, Pickering had one charge against him dismissed, another lessened, and was given credit for the time he served.

The family says they are trying to put the incident behind, them but we can’t help but be shocked by the strange events.

Desperate Father Brings Gun To Hospital To Keep His Son On Life Support is an article from: LifeDaily

While most teenagers wouldn’t mind growing a little bit taller, one 19-year-old from Michigan wishes he would stop towering over everyone he meets.

The world’s tallest man is Sultan Kosen, a Turkish farmer, who clocks in at 8 feet, 2 inches, but if American teen Broc Brown continues to grow at his current alarming rate, he will most certainly surpass that.

At 18, Broc became the tallest known teenager at 7 feet, 8 inches, due to a rare form of gigantism known as Sotos syndrome. Characterized by excessive physical growth during developmental years, Sotos is a rare genetic disorder that neither of his parents have.

Darci recalls that Broc was around 5 feet, 2 inches when he was just a kindergartner. “When he got into middle school he was around 6 feet tall and by high school he was 7 feet tall,” Darci said. “He could easily grow six inches in a year.”

Broc says the never-ending pain in his back is hard to deal with. “I just wish the doctors could do something to help my pain,” he told Barcroft.

“It’s the best thing I could have heard, I’m so happy that I will live for a long time,” he said.

There’s nothing more heartbreaking than a newborn losing their mother.

That’s why when a tiny koala named Shayne had his story shared by the Australia Zoo Wildlife Warriors on Facebook, people far and wide were touched by how the newborn coped with his mother’s tragic death.

In a post that has since gone viral, Australia Zoo wrote, “Losing his mum after being hit by a car, Shayne was forced to fend for himself and was found by rescuers as he was being chased by crows!”

Although Shayne survived the crash, people are worried about the koala’s challenge ahead of growing up without a mother.

The 9-month-old bear may not have his mom to hold onto anymore, but Zoo caretakers were stunned to see that the sweet baby refused to let go of a stuffed toy koala that likely resembles his missing parent.

Baby Koala Won’t Let Go Of Stuffed Bear After Losing Mom To A Car Crash is an article from: LifeDaily

It’s every parent’s nightmare to find out that the police have been called to a children’s daycare center or kindergarten, but none of the parents at an Australian child care center could believe it when they found out who the police had arrested.

On Sunday night, a group of five young children broke into a local daycare center in Adelaide called the ‘Goodstart Centre‘ and caused thousands of dollars worth of damage. And when employees got to work on Monday morning ready to start the week, they were horrified by what they found.

The five children, all under the age of ten years old, had broken in and destroyed walls and computers, covered everything in paint, and spread urine and feces all over the room. The employees were crushed by the damage but were truly horrified when they realized what the vandals did to their pet fish.

The class’s pet goldfish received the worst of the violence when the young children smashed the fish tank, cut the fish up into pieces with a pair of scissors, and left its body parts scattered around the classroom. “Our children were very attached to our fish,” said kindergarten director Jill Rogers, who was visibly upset after the shocking crime.

So far, two of the five children have been arrested, but many parents who send their kids to the daycare site feel the children and parents should be facing justice as well. “The parents are definitely accountable for it and they should pay for the damages too,” said mom Trinity Scannell. “And the children should come back for punishment and do some cleaning.”

Thankfully, the rest of the community was quick to help the child care center by donating books, furniture, toys, and a new fish tank.
