Perhaps the most famous “Murphy’s Law” adage is the one that states: “Anything that can go wrong, will go wrong.”
The law’s name supposedly stems from an attempt to use new measurement devices developed by a man named Edward Murphy. The phrase was coined in adverse reaction to something Murphy said when his devices failed to perform.
However, in the book: “A History of Murphy’s Law ” by author Nick T. Spark, there are differing recollections years later by various participants making it impossible to determine who first coined the saying.
Author Arthur Bloch has compiled a number of books full of corollaries to Murphy’s law and its variations. The Law of Truly Large Numbers is similar to Murphy’s Law. It states that with a sample size large enough, any outrageous thing is likely to happen.
To add to an ever increasing body of material about Murphy and his law(s), Dr. John Stapp, a U.S. Air Force colonel and Flight Surgeon wrote a book entitled, “Why Everything You Know About Murphy’s Law is Wrong.”

This wedding cost the couple $3.5 million, and was held in Odescalchi Castle in Bracciano, Italy. The extravagant wedding lasted for three days in nearby Rome, with celebrity guests including J. The reception featured fireworks, Andrea Bocelli singing love songs, a five-tiered wedding cake, 300 bottles of fine wine and champagne, and a castle hall converted into a nightclub for dancing. The cartoonish couple wed at Marble Collegiate Church in New York City for $4.2 million. The best man was Michael Jackson, and maid of honor Elizabeth Taylor. One thousand guests looked on, and enjoyed high-powered performances by Tony Bennett, Stevie Wonder, and Natalie Cole, as well as a 60-piece orchestra. Guests at the hotel reception toasted the couple with vintage wines and received boxes filled with parting gifts. Unfortunately, Liza and David had a nasty split a year later and divorced in 2007.
6. Paul McCartney and Heather Mills: June 11, 2002
Paul married his second wife Heather at the secluded Castle Leslie in Ireland, costing the couple $4.2 million. This Royal Wedding came with a $34 million price tag. Over 180 countries watched as Kate walked down the isle to marry her Prince. The wedding took place at London’s Westminster Abbey. Kate’s wedding dress was designed by Sarah Burton, the creative director of Alexander McQueen and reportedly cost $70,000. The flowers rang in at $800,000; and the eight-tiered wedding fruit cake with white icing and 900 sugar paste flowers cost $80,000. Contrary to popular belief, not all penguins live in freezing temperatures. Some penguins live closer to the equator, and rarely see snow.
Most penguins love cold weather, and as you will see in the video below, so do these King Penguins at the Cincinnati Zoo in Ohio. (King Penguins by the way are the second largest of all the penguins.)
Although it gets chilly in Cincinnati from time to time, it’s certainly not ice-covered, and freezing like Antarctica is.
When these penguins first walk outside and see the snow, they couldn’t be happier! It’s beautiful to watch them get so excited, while they waddle around flapping their arms. I even saw a few wagging their tiny tails.
It really feels like we are watching animals in their element, enjoying their surroundings, and enjoying life.

Now imagine for a minute that you are a dog, having just smelled a steaming hot freshly cooked bowl of spaghetti coming from the kitchen.

It is unlucky for this particular dog in the video below, that his parrot friend is watching over that delicious bowl of spaghetti near the kitchen sink like a hawk.
The poor dog cannot reach, so he pleads with the parrot to feed him even as much as one strand, clawing the counter with his paws, wishing more than anything that he could reach.
The parrot decides to feed the dog a little spaghetti, dropping it to the floor, so that the dog can have a bite. The parrot then pulls back, and enjoys watching the dog salivate.

As of April 2014, almost 7,000 troops died fighting the war oversees in Afghanistan and Iraq. The losses hit everyone tremendously, especially the family and friends of those who passed away.
Bill needed to find a way to honor his son Nathan, so being an Orthopedic Surgeon, he made a decision that surprised everyone. He enlisted in the Navy Medical Corps in the hope of being assigned to Iraq.
To Bill’s dismay however, he got a letter back saying that he was too old to be enlisted as he was past the age limit at 61 years old. It was possible to get an age waiver, but that could take up to a year.
Bill was determined, and was not going to give up his dream to honor his fallen son.

It is a beautiful thing when pets get along well with other pet members in their family.
Sure, it’s possible for them to not get along, but most of the time, pets are loving and even tend to look after one another.
That is very much the case for this Labrador Retriever and his younger brother- the Dachshund Puppy, shown in this quick 30 second video below.
It was a cold snowy day, and the family went for a walk. Instead of having the owners walk the Dachshund puppy, this white Labrador Retriever felt some inclination to walk the puppy himself.
No, we’re not talking about walking alongside the puppy, we’re talking about walking the puppy! This lab took the Dachshund’s leash in it’s mouth, and helped the puppy along the snow.
Maybe there was ice on the ground, and the lab didn’t want the puppy to get hurt, or maybe he just grabbed the leash so the puppy could walk at the same pace as the rest of the family.
Regardless, this video is absolutely heartwarming to watch, as it’s always a nice surprise when we see our pets showing genuine love to one another.
It’s a hard enough task in itself to get one child to go to bed for the night and stay asleep, but it’s even harder when you have twins.
The parents of these twin girls were probably relieved when they thought their precious babies had finally gone to bed, and they would be able to rest peacefully for the night.
As this video below will show you, Dad caught the girls on baby cam pulling some crazy shenanigans.
These sneaky twins had awoken- one woke up and woke the other, and they decided to communicate in their own baby language- flapping their arms around, looking like adults having a full-blown conversation.
I would absolutely love to know what these girls were trying to communicate to one another, but the BEST PART was what they did when they heard their dad walking towards the room!

The dance moves of Nathan the hairless Chinese dog will be the funniest thing you’ll see all day.
This silly pooch was recorded dancing up a storm to Cupid’s Cupid Shuffle on his couch at home. Nathan sported a tailored black coat, looking very dapper I might say.
This wasn’t the first time that Nathan was caught showing off his dance movies: he’s been recorded dancing to Psy’s “Gangnam Style,” Pharrell’s “Happy,” and Macklemore’s “Thrift Shop,” and his video even appeared on the Ellen Show!
Nathan was adopted from South Carolina’s Bald is Beautiful Dog Rescue in 2014, and now has his own Facebook page with over 26,000 likes.
He is truly a remarkable dog, and his moves will have you dancing, and clicking ‘Play Again.’
This devil baby video will have you horrified, as it takes pranks to a whole ‘nother level.
Most people, when hearing a baby cry in an unattended stroller on the streets, will go over to investigate. The folks at Thinkmodo knew this, and used it as an opportunity to scare the living daylights out of innocent passersby.
This animatronic Devil Baby was put on the streets of New York to attack pedestrians while in a remote controlled stroller. It had the ability to headbang, vomit, and downright look possessed.
This prank gave New Yorkers a pretty good scare- their reactions, and looks on their faces to being scared by this baby were priceless.
The “Devil Baby Attack” turned out to be a promotion for a horror film: “The Devils Due,” and I guess was an interesting social experiment to see how many people would bother to check an abandoned stroller.

The internet is overflowing with adorable kids. Some have really great voices, cool dance moves, and others are just ridiculously cute. This particular girl from Council Grove Kansas however, has absolutely blown us away with her intelligence!

This father- Jace Larke, was going to miss one of life’s most profound moments- the birth of his third son.
In Australia, it is common for electrical contractors, like Jace to be away for significant life events, even the birth of their children.
Jace and his wife Alison Larke were given a unique opportunity when Samsung approached them to try out their VR headset, which would enable Jace to watch the birth of his son from over 2,500 miles away.
Larke immediately agreed, and when his wife went into labor, the technology allowed him to watch the birth of his son as if he was actually in the delivery room.
This heart warming story was used in Samsung’s latest advertisement, which you can watch below. I have to warn you however, that it will probably bring tears to your eyes:
