In case you were looking for another thing to worry about, phantom pregnancy is a real ailment that any woman can experience. The terrifying condition is the opposite of the TLC television show “I Didn’t Know I Was Pregnant.”
Instead of being pregnant and experiencing no symptoms, the woman in question has all the symptoms, including her water breaking. However, like the batteries of our favorite childhood toys, the baby is not included.
Dr. Radebaugh, a young pediatrician, was called upon one evening to help a pregnant woman, according to the New York Times.
When the doctor arrived to the scene (back in the days when doctors came to you rather than vice versa), the expecting mother was writhing in pain with a belly the size of a watermelon bulging from her abdomen. The doctor hastily rushed the woman to the hospital after her water broke on him (ew). He checked her in, left her in the hands of the staff, and went home for the evening.
When Dr. Radebaugh called the next morning to check on his patient, he was told she had been checked out shortly after he left. The woman had only been experiencing symptoms of pregnancy rather than actual childbirth. That must have been quite a surprise for her.
Before you get too worried about experiencing a phantom pregnancy, know it is quite rare. For every 22,000 births, about 1-6 women experience a phantom pregnancy.
Psychiatrists associate this bizarre condition with an extreme desire to be pregnant or a strong wish to be involved in the pregnancy process. Dr. Mary Erskine, a biologist at Boston University who studies the neurology of reproductive systems, believes anxiety plays a large role in these rare cases.
The intense desire to be emotionally involved creates a hormonal secretion, which in turn tricks the mind, which further tricks the body, which creates a runaway effect until you end up with morning sickness, broken water, and no baby.

28-year-old comedian Bella Younger was tired of seeing those kinds of posts, and feeling bad about her health. “I used to spend four hours a day looking through Instagram and feeling bad about myself,” Younger said.

Joao says that the penguin was struggling to survive so he cleaned him off, and fed him sardines before bringing him back to the water.
In February, Jingling the Magellanic penguin leaves for the cooler climates 2,000 miles away, but he always returns to Joao’s seaside shanty come June.
Locals say that the penguin is like a son to Joao.
Magellanic penguins are classified as a “threatened species,” primarily because they are so vulnerable to oil spills. These spills kill approximately 20,000 adults and 22,000 juvenile penguins each year.
We are thankful that Joao was able to save at least one of these penguins, and we hope they continue to have a beautiful friendship.

In the lovely state of Ohio, on the West Bank of the Maumee River, lies the quaint city of Toledo, Ohio. It is a stop for those traveling from New York to Chicago and has earned itself the nickname of the “Glass City,” for its glassing industry. The city is rich with culture, and what it lacks in amusement parks, it makes up for in potholes.
At least, that’s what Opal Covey feels about the city. Opal is running for mayor of Toledo for the fifth time this year (she’s lost the four previous elections) on the platform of adding amusement parks to bring in money, and fixing those dang potholes. Her other platform is the fact that she’s a miracle worker sent by God to speak in tongues to His people.
You could say that Opal’s technique is a little unorthodox. She is a self-described “prophetess” who is running as a non-endorsed Republican.
Our favorite part of this story is the fact that Opal speaks in tongues and assures her “supporters” that she already won the race. In 2013, Opal says she clearly got the majority of the votes, but her seat was robbed due to “government corruption.”

As if the fashion wasn’t enough to make you crack a grin, the video is complete with a horribly catchy tune (I really admire the 90’s sellouts that created that little diddy). The commercial has the dramatic structure and story arc that’s worthy of a Greek epic.
It begins with out with our average hero and his majestic mullet (wait, is that a mullet? I can’t tell. Usually, I only accept men that wear their long locks in a bun). One day, our young hero is out with his friends looking for camaraderie (and probably snap bracelets). The group is having a merry time strolling through the streets laughing at their own silly clothes. But then, disaster strikes and our antagonist makes an entrance. Our hero is isolated from his group and must conquer the odds. What is he to do now?
It’s okay, Mentos is here to save the day. Our young hair uses his quick-witted platinum-blonde noggin to outsmart the villain and continue his quest with his fellow normcore-clad clan.

We’ve all been there in one way or another, stuck in some awkward situation, perhaps in a faulty elevator or with our jackets caught in the car door. But then there are other people who have gotten themselves stuck somewhere extraordinarily funny.
At least funny for us, if not for them…

Found in Japan and Europe, from the Baltic Sea to the Pacific Coast, flying squirrels are a tribe of 44 species of squirrels that have the capability of flight.
But they don’t actually fly exactly, rather they glide using a furry membrane or patagium between their front and rear legs, and using this membrane enables them to glide over 100 meters.
They can escape predators this way or just reach another tree.
With their large eyes, and expressive features, these tree-dwellers look like they could come from a Disney film.
These flying squirrels in particular are known as Siberian and Japanese flying squirrels, and if there was a contest for the world’s cutest creature, they have a pretty good chance of winning.

Our favorite soccer player and stud has always come across as being a pretty chill dad, but even the most laid-back of fathers would object to their kids drawing on them.
But this dad of 4 has not only done that, he’s allowed his kids to have their drawings tattooed on him!
‘Apparently Harper is allowed to scribble on daddy <3,’ David captioned the photo of the design, which features a little heart next to the smiley.
The Beckham boys- Brooklyn, 16, Romeo, 13, and Cruz, 10, weren’t left out of this sketching session either.
While it’s unclear if the scribbles are permanent tattoos or not, we think it’s pretty darn cute, and I’m sure David’s fans would agree that they deserve a place among his extensive collection of inkings.
‘Aw, you should get that inked on permanently,’ one commented on Harper’s sketch.
And we certainly agree.

The barbie doll, first introduced in 1959 is primarily known for her flawless face and perfect body. Not to mention her cute boyfriend Ken.
For many years, Barbie was the company’s best selling toy, and many people even collected barbies with the intent to sell them in the future.
But in 2011, the dolls sales seems to decline, and in fact, sales fell by 14% in 2014 alone.
