We don’t usually squeal with joy when we see a bat.
Perhaps we might shriek in horror, or we simply try to run away, but bats rarely evoke a reaction similar to seeing a tiny kitten…until now.
Orphaned bats need just as much love an attention as any other critter in the animal kingdom. These baby bats, for example, lost their mother in Australia due to extreme heat. Fortunately, the Australian Bat Clinic was there to step up and the results are adorable.
Typically, mothers will wrap their baby bats up in their wings while they hang upside down. It leaves the little ones feeling nurtured and protected. However, when these baby bats lost their mothers, the animal clinic was left with an interesting alternative.
The clinic wraps up the tiny bats (like burritos!), giving them a pacifier to suck on and occassionally a bottle, when they need it:
