‘Miraculous’ Teen Saves Dad From A Burning Truck, Then Rescues Her Entire Family

With all the negative news stories that flood our television screens, I can always count on at least one hour a day to keep me laughing, smiling and thanks to stories like this next one, give me a little more hope in humanity.

If there is one celebrity on TV who knows how to put her fame and fortune to good use, helping those who deserve it most, it’s always Ellen DeGeneres. As you can see in this touching story about a heroic teacher, Ellen never fails to go above and beyond to recognize ordinary people who do extraordinary things.

In the following video, we learn about a teen who was faced with a truly terrifying scenario and didn’t come close to buckling under pressure.

Instead, Charlotte Heffelmire of Northern Virginia was able to muster up some miraculous strength and do the unthinkable when she found her father, Eric, trapped underneath his burning GMC truck.

The 19-year-old told USA Today “I lifted it [the truck] the first time, he said ‘OK, you almost got it. Finally managed to get it out, it was some crazy strength, pulled him out.”

Knowing her family, including her sister’s newborn baby, were still inside, Charlotte got into the flaming truck and drove it outside to contain the fire.
