When professional photographer Meg Bitton recently shared a portrait of a young client on Facebook, she wanted to prove a point, but she had no idea just how much attention the post would quickly gain.
As you can see in this shocking story about a mom who used costumes to try to make her own point about North Carolina’s controversial transgender bathroom laws, it’s a subject that has everyone talking – and quick to form their own opinions. While most parents were quick to agree with the “pirate mom’s” stance on how an eye patch and parrot doesn’t make her a pirate and therefore a dress shouldn’t automatically give a man rights to the women’s restroom, the parents of Bitton’s young client bring up a much more important topic.
What do you think about this sweet young girl being forced to use the men’s room? How would you feel if she were your daughter?
