If you think this video is as ridiculous as it looks, well…you probably aren’t alone. But that doesn’t make it any less entertaining.
We live in a fascinating world, folks. Don’t ever doubt that for a second. Early last month, Aaron’s Inc., a US appliance and electronics company, wanted to get their name on the map while breaking a record.
Therefore, a team gathered 1,200 participants at the Gaylord Resort and Conference Center in National Harbor, Maryland. They gave them each a mattress, lined them up, and then somebody gave a good hard shove.
The end result was the exact kind of bliss you could expect from an event like this.
The participants toppled over like this kid when a galloping goat knocked him to the ground. In total, the record was broken in 13 minutes and 38 seconds. That’s a lot of tumbling. It’s a good thing they had a mattress to soften the blow.

This hilarious video could teach us something about people however…metaphorically, at least.
The impact of our actions often extends farther than we can see. If I knock just one of my fellow humans to the ground, that person might feel justified in taking somebody else down a peg too. Before you know it, we find ourselves knocking each other to the ground in one fluid motion simply because we’re reacting to how we’ve been treated ourselves.
By that same token, if we seek to lift each other up, rather than knocking them down, we too find that action rippling throughout our social circles.
So while it’s completely okay to knock somebody to the ground for the sake of a hilarious viral video, make sure you take this message with you in your personal life. And if you believe in lifting each other up rather than the alternative, please SHARE this video and remind friends that we accomplish more when we do it together.
