Police Release Shocking Footage Of Woman Scaring Off Home Invaders At 4AM

Perhaps nothing is more terrifying than the thought of a stranger invading your home in the middle of the night while you are sleeping.

Although a home invasion is something many of us don’t want to think about, it’s important for everyone to have a plan to protect your loved ones and your belongings, whether it be a security system or weapon of choice hidden away in case you need it.

Luckily for one couple in Atlanta, Georgia, preparation truly paid off when they were awoken in the middle of the night by at least three would-be robbers on September 16th. The Gwinnett Police Department released the video to local paper The Gwinnett Post to try and encourage the criminals to come forward or for information on the suspects, but the clip is also a great lesson in home protection.

In the clip below, the thieves, who were considered armed and dangerous, can be seen entering the couple’s garage through their home, where after just a few minutes they get the surprise of a lifetime around 3:40 AM.

A brave female homeowner comes out of hiding firing shots at the men, while a man we assume is her husband follows her out.  According to Gwinnett County Police, one invader was killed by the gun-wielding woman protecting her family and home.
