Neglected Dog Makes Incredible Transformation After Shedding Thick, Matted Fur

It’s been said that a person’s love of money is the root of all evil.

Nothing proves this statement truer than the story that surrounds Coco the Russian dog who was left alone and neglected for more than a year.

For a while, the dog led a very happy life. He was in the care of his loving owner, Gore Zhdanov, who gave him the attention the animal deserved. You see, Coco is a bobtail dog, a breed that requires a lot of love, attention, and affection. When Gore passed away at 79-years-old, the dog did not receive that affection.

Instead, Gore’s family took over the care of the dog, though it might be an exaggeration to say they cared for him. Instead, they feuded over their relative’s money, bickering about who would gain access to his home and possessions.

In the meantime, they left poor Coco to act as a guard dog for Gore’s dwellings. The dog was left alone around the clock with barely enough food and water. He got no exercise, no love, and no attention.

The poor animal fell into sickness in his decrepit state until some rescuers finally caught word of the injustice and came to his aid.

When they found him, he was caked in heavy, matted fur, covered in feces and urine, and barely living.

Cleaning up Coco was no easy task. His shavings alone filled four trash bags to the brim with matted, disgusting fur.

But once he shed the heavy coat and shell of his former life, the dog was back to his happy state.
