The birth of any newborn is a beautiful moment in nature, but it’s rarely caught on camera.
Farmers at Shadow Valley Deer Farm in West Virginia wrote on YouTube that when they turned their back for two seconds, one of the all-white doe’s on their farm gave birth to a brown baby fawn. “Jack had just turned his back for two minutes,” the woman wrote. Fortunately, Jack quickly grabbed his camera and made it just in time for when the doe’s second baby popped out, which was even more shocking.
First, the deer, named Lacy, nurtured her brown buck fawn, a truly beautiful interaction to watch. The newborn quickly ran over to her mother to lay on her for support. Soon after, as the baby is being cleaned, Lacy started to give birth again!
This time, however, the second newborn is a white buck fawn just like his mother. While it appears yellow/golden in the video, once the baby is cleaned off, he will likely look just like its mother.
While this video contains graphic content that may be upsetting to some viewers, it is really beautiful.
