Millie is a 7-year-old bull terrier foster dog, who up until recently had never been on a bed before.

Like most rescue dogs, Millie was not used to the luxuries that a home provides, and she likely lived on the street for her whole life. Besides all the love and care that comes from finding a forever home, rescue dogs also get to the enjoy life’s most basic necessities like regular meals, shelter and the occasional trip to the vet. 

So when Millie finally got a loving foster family and they took her home and let her on the bed for the first time, Millie was beside herself. Seven years is a long time to never be able to enjoy the comforts of a home, and it’s safe to say that Millie was missing out. 

Once Millie got on the soft bed, she frolicked in the covers and her adoptive parents filmed the entire thing.  It was a special moment for the whole family, one that they will remember throughout Millie’s life.

Heartwarming Moment Rescue Dog Sees A Bed For The First Time is an article from: LifeDaily

What was supposed to be a fun day celebrating a baby’s first birthday quickly turned into a nightmare for a Texas couple when they discovered him floating in the pool.

While parents Nickie and Jarred Harris were distracted, their one-year-old son, Whitaker, followed the family’s dog out to the backyard after it pushed the back door open. Moments later, Nickie and the boy’s grandfather discovered Whitaker unconscious in the pool.

While waiting for paramedics to arrive, they performed CPR but the prognosis didn’t look good. Doctors at Cook Children’s Medical Center told Whitaker’s parents that they would do everything they could but the chances of survival were slim. “Doctors were honest but still amazing and helpful and went above and beyond,” Nickie said.

Two days later, however, doctors were stunned when they saw Whitaker sitting up in bed. “When you see things he does afterward… very humbling to how God really is and how thankful you can be,” said Jarred. Now the family is sharing their story to warn other parents about being careful with children around water. “Not to be naive because it can happen to anybody,” Nickie said. “And it did in just a matter of seconds.”

“This is a preventable accident that doesn’t have to happen,” said Wini King from the hospital. “All you have to do is pay close attention when your children are near the water.”

Baby Miraculously Recovers From Near-Drowning Ordeal is an article from: LifeDaily

Parents trust their babysitters and nannies to keep their children safe and protected in their absence, but a California father was amazed by what one amazing nanny did to protect his son from a burglar.

While Jenna Lee Baker was out running errands with the three-year-old she watches, a young man had broken into the family’s home and was caught on security cameras searching the home for valuables. When Baker finally did return to the home, she instantly felt something wasn’t right.

As Baker called out to the three-year-old to come to her, the man came running down the stairs. “It was sheer panic,” she explained. Baker had no idea if the burglar was armed, but decided to run into the kitchen to grab the boy instead of running out the door to save herself.

Thankfully, Baker managed to safely get the toddler to a neighbor’s house. “What she did for my son, [we’re] so grateful that she is in our lives,” said dad Jonathan Lai, who couldn’t believe what Baker did to save his son. “To have him going into my kids’ rooms, it’s the most scary thing to me.”

Animal Aid Unlimited India is known for their incredible animal rescues, but this one involving four puppies really warmed our hearts. 

In a brand new video, Animal Aid rescuers share four stories of street dogs who were brought to their shelter in Udaipur, India, so they can have a fresh start at life. When Animal Aid found the four street puppies, they were wounded and needed urgent help. 

The first puppy was a little girl who had a big wound on her head- Maggots had infected the wound and they needed to be cleaned immediately. 

The second dog was also a female, who was wounded and in so much pain. 

The third dog had fallen into a drain on the street and was cold and scared. He cried in excruciating pain and he needed medical help stat. 

The fourth dog had a painful cut on his head, but once it was cleaned and treated, he was all smiles.

All four dogs experienced speedy recoveries, but only due to the extreme dedication of all the rescuers at Animal Aid Unlimited. We’ve never seen an organization that transforms the health of animals who were found in such terrible condition.

Puppy Is So Happy To Be Rescued He Can’t Stop Smiling is an article from: LifeDaily

People are seriously cruel, but this story has a happy ending. 

Bilal Aslam, a little boy in Bahrain found a kitten that he wanted to take home with him. The twist was, the kitten had experienced extreme cruelty in its past, and a monster had dyed it bright pink. 

Whoever did this to the cat had no regard for this poor kitten and how badly it would be affected. They likely were just thinking about themselves and that this was cute or amusing. After the boy found the cat, it was taken to the BSPCA, where rescuers appropriately named her Pinky. 

Pinky received a medical examination and it was determined that in addition to having been dyed pink, she was also starved and in desperate need of food and attention. Pinky wound up suffering an allergic reaction to the wall paint and she experienced sniffles and a runny nose. The vet also spent hours trying to wash off the dye, but it was not an easy task. 

Using special medical soap and numerous baths, some of the dye was able to come off, but not all of it. While the shade may now be lighter than before, Pinky will forever be Pink!

Once she is nursed back to health, she will be placed up for adoption. Luckily such a terrible story has a happy ending.

Controversial comedian Kathy Griffin has chopped off her trademark red locks, but it’s all for a good cause. 

Kathy cut off her hair to support her sister, Joyce, who is going through chemotherapy. A series of photos posted to Twitter show Kathy revealing her look to her mom, with the caption: “In solidarity with her sister, who is going through chemo, Kathy Griffin shaved her head.” 

The Griffin family has not revealed what kind of cancer Joyce has, but sadly they have faced the illness before. This is actually Kathy’s second sibling to suffer from cancer- her older brother Gary passed away in 2014 at age 63 after a two-year battle with Stage 4 esophageal cancer. A heartbroken Kathy shared a tribute of her brother and his idol Joe Walsh in a post on Instagram.

Our last real conversation, w my brother I loved so much, was just a few days go when I got him this signed picture from his idol, @JoeWalsh. For the past year, one Californian 10-year-old has saved every last penny so that she and her family could take a trip to Disneyland.

After a year of saving, fifth grader Andrea Ramirez managed to save up $200, and was thrilled that she finally saved up enough money to go to Disneyland. But just a week before she and her family was supposed to go, thieves broke into their home and stole all the money, which she had packed in her suitcase.

“I was so happy to go but when they robbed me I thought I wasn’t going to go anymore,” said Andrea. But when the police heard what happened, they were determined to make things right even if they couldn’t find the thieves. “She saved her money all year, which is pretty significant for a 10-year-old,” Salinas Police Chief Adele Frese said. “Our police officers said there’s no way not on my watch it was bad enough the burglary happened but we got to make this good for this little girl.”

“They said, ‘Let’s try to get the $200 collected from the police department,” Frese said.When word spread around the department, more and more officers donated money. They quickly surpassed their $200 goal, and called the family down to surprise them with the $1,050 that they raised.

“Her dad was so humble and so grateful; Andrea was absolutely stunned,” Frese said. “This is the type of thing that we go to policing for. To heal harms is kind of healing for us too.”

Cops Raise Money For Girl After Disney Trip Savings Stolen is an article from: LifeDaily

When one South Carolina mother’s kids begged her to adopt a pet, she was hesitant at first. But now, that mother-of-six is praising the family pet for saving their lives.

Earlier this week, the family’s outdoor cat named Luna snuck into the family’s home in the middle of the night while everyone was asleep and refused to leave mom Emily Chappell-Root alone until she woke up. When Emily finally stopped trying to ignore Luna, she realized the cat was just trying to save their lives.

“She was insistent, you’re getting up. I got up and walked out the bedroom door and got a few steps down the hallway and realized there were flames licking around the door frame into the kitchen,” Emily said. She quickly woke up all her children and led them outside.

Thanks to Luna, the entire family managed to escape the fire, which destroyed almost everything inside. “If she didn’t wake me up we may not have all gotten out. I am really really blessed to have her and that everyone got out,” said Emily, who felt blessed for what Luna did for her family.

Despite not originally wanting Luna, Emily is now spoiling her with treats and affection. “She will be on wet food for life. Wherever we go has to be a home that will let her go with us,” said Emily.

Cat Saves Family Of Eight From House Fire is an article from: LifeDaily

A Washington man is lucky to be alive after he was rescued from a river by a group of teens after jumping off an abandoned bridge. 

25-year-old Tyler Wright climbed to the top of an abandoned bridge on Saturday, about 65 feet over the Spokane River. According to InsideEdition.com, when he jumped and slammed into the water below, he cracked a rib, punctured a lung and went into cardiac arrest. 

Luckily for Wright, 17-year-old Roman Sissons was at the river that day and saw Wright crash right into the water. Along with a few of his friends, they jumped into the water to rescue Wright and ultimately are responsible for saving his life. “Just from seeing that jump, I was immediately like, ok this guy is hurt,” Sissons said. 

The victim’s girlfriend, Cheyenne Rose, was watching the whole thing in horror. “Without them, my boyfriend of 3 years, the love of my life, would not be here right now,” Rose told InsideEdition.com. 

Besides Wright’s jump, other death-defying leaps have been popping up all over the internet. The investigative producer from Inside Edition nearly lost his life after plunging 100 feet off a bridge near Yosemite National Park in California. He shattered a vertebra, almost severing his spinal cord and had to learn to walk again. His advice to others, “It may look cool… but don’t do it. 

Tyler Wright is currently in stable condition at a hospital in Washington and he owes his life to those quick-thinking strangers.

Teens Rescue Daredevil After His Backflip Off Bridge Goes Horribly Wrong is an article from: LifeDaily

When Lashad Hamilton, who serves in the US Navy, wanted to propose to his girlfriend Scotia T. Johnson, he did so in the most incredible way. 

The video that Hamilton posted on YouTube shows Johnson sitting on a couch at a friend’s house while they prepare to show her a video that Hamilton made for her. Hamilton wrote down his thoughts on index cards and without saying one word showed them to Johnson in the video. 

They read: “In every man’s life, when he must make difficult decisions, however, loving you is not one of those difficult decisions. It’s soon easy to love you…I have a question for you…The question is hard to ask… So I called in reinforcements.”

Hamilton then shows Johnson photos of all of their family and friends holding up a sign that says, “Scotia will you?” At this point, Johnson is in tears and Hamilton walks through the doors and runs into his arms. While Johnson is hugging him so tight Hamilton gets down on one knee and proposes.

He posted the entire proposal to YouTube, writing, “I’ve been planning this for a while. I’m in the US NAVY and I came home to surprise her with this.She had no idea I was there. The video is her reaction to the skit I put together. I want to thank all my friends and family for participating and special thanks to Mike and Courtney Prince. Please like, comment and share.”

Soldier Returns Home To Surprise His Girlfriend With Tear-Jerking Proposal is an article from: LifeDaily

With seven grandchildren of her own, one Ohio woman is naturally protective of young children. So when she spotted a young girl wandering the streets alone, her instincts kicked in and she did what was necessary to keep her safe.

While Linda Newkirk was outside her apartment, she saw a young girl chasing a puppy by herself on the street. “She was buck-naked. No clothes on whatsoever,” Newkirk said. “A big girl like me doesn’t run, but I ran as fast as I could to catch that little girl so nothing else bad would happen to her.”

“She was covered in feces from the waist down, like she had had it caked on there for days, and then I wrapped her around with a blanket and then I called the police,” Newkirk said. “It’s very sad to see children neglected like that. She could’ve been hit by a car or worse, snatched up just within an instant.”

Middletown police then arrested the girl’s mother, who was asleep in their home and claimed she had no idea her daughter wandered off, and charged her with endangering children. While Newkirk was hailed a hero, she said she just did what was right. “I feel I did what was right. I saved a little girl’s life in so many ways,” said Newkirk, who hopes to meet the little girl again one day.

Eldest children are often incredibly protective of their younger siblings. So when one Indiana boy heard what a hospital did for his baby brother, he decided to do something to show his appreciation.

“I felt really, really happy,” Karsen said. “I’m just super proud of him,” Katie added. “He has a big heart.” On Aug. 7, Karsen and his family went to the hospital and signed the massive check that will go towards the Child Life program at Riley, which helps comfort families through services like diagnosis education, therapeutic play, sibling support and special celebrations.

“We are so grateful for Karsen’s generous donation to Riley Hospital,” the hospital said. “His gift is making an impact on kids and families throughout the hospital. It’s always incredible to see Riley kids and their siblings who are driven to give back to help others in need.”

Boy Donates $740 To Hospital That Helped Baby Brother is an article from: LifeDaily

The first day of school is a nerve-wracking day for most kids, but for two young boys in Arizona, the day was even harder since their mom wasn’t there to see them off.

For the past seven months, U.S. Air Force master sergeant Shania Porter has been deployed overseas. When she found out she was finally being sent home just in time for her young sons’ first day of school, she decided to surprise them with the help of the schools’ principals.

First, Porter went to four-year-old Blake’s school where she was allowed to use the intercom to make a special announcement. “Attention Pre-K 1,” Porter said. “I have a special announcement for a little boy that I flew so many miles to see and to tell him how much I love him.”

“[Blake] was confused and I said to him, ‘Did that sound familiar? Do you know who that was on the intercom?'” said school franchise owner Karen Verlardi. “His mom came in and his back was turned and she tapped him on the shoulder and that’s when they embraced. To just see them together was incredible.”

Porter, her husband, and Blake then went to five-year-old Bryce’s school where Principal Janis Ramirez gave her phone to the first-grader to FaceTime with his mom, who he thought was 3,000 miles away. When he realized she was standing outside his school, he sprinted out to meet her. “[T]o see him reunite with his mother who I know he just loves, it was just a memorable moment that we were happy to be apart of,” Ramirez said.

“It was the best feeling ever,” Porter said. “It was the completion to know it was over and I was home. That was the feeling of home for me.”

Deployed Military Mom Makes It Home For First Day Of School is an article from: LifeDaily

Expecting parents usually have around nine months to prepare for the birth of their baby, but one Missouri couple only had about seven after a car accident forced doctors to perform an emergency c-section at 25 weeks.

On Oct. 7, 2016, Jevon McBride and his expecting wife, Julie, were in a head on collision. “I tried my best to shield Julie’s stomach from the impact,” said McBride, an Air Force staff sergeant. “I grabbed her stomach immediately to try and shield whatever I could.”

McBride’s right leg was completely shattered, and Julie suffered a concussion and a right hip contusion. Even though McBride did his best to shield baby Julie, a scan revealed that she was bleeding in the brain so doctors performed an emergency C-section the next day. “They didn’t think she would make it,” Julie said. “They weren’t giving us that much hope.”

Because Juliana was born prematurely, she suffers from retinopathy of prematurity. However, with the help of eye glasses, she was recently able to see herself and her parents for the first time. “She’s just looking up at him like, ‘Wow, you’re my dad. You’re really my dad.’ She can really see. You can tell she’s seeing things differently,” Julie said. “It was beautiful honestly because I could tell she was looking at me. I could see her eyes focusing on me.” McBride added.

Juliana will eventually need surgery on her eyes since the disease can cause blindness, but her parents are now confident she’ll be fine. “You don’t want your child to go through another surgery, but when she got the glasses and I saw her reaction, I said to myself, ‘This is going to be OK,'” Julie said. “We’ve already been through the worst. This is nothing.”

Baby Sees Clearly For First Time After Surviving Car Crash is an article from: LifeDaily

A Fox Sports analyst is furious after he says he was pulled from a Delta flight because his son had lice. 

According to InsideEdition.com, Lara Travis noticed her son Lincoln, 6, was itchy on their previous flight from Paris to Minneapolis, and she discovered he picked up head lice. His dad, Clay Travis says once flight attendants caught wind of the situation, they freaked out. 

“Zero indication of [lice] at all until halfway across the Atlantic Ocean and he suddenly started itching hair,” he told Inside Edition. “My wife went over to him and said, ‘Why are you so itchy?’ At that point in time, flight attendants gathered around and asked my wife, ‘Does he have lice?’”

The Travis family were supposed to have a connecting flight once they landed in Minneapolis before they could get home to Nashville, but a Delta flight attendant tracked them down when they were standing in line at customs. She told the family, “‘We’re going to conduct an exam of your kid here.’” Clay responded: “‘I don’t want my kid to have a medical exam.’” The employee then said, “’If you don’t allow us to do this you can’t fly on Delta Airlines.’”

The airline said that Lincoln would have to receive lice treatment before he could get on another Delta plane, and Clay Travis wrote about the incident on his website in a post entitled, “Delta Pulled My Family Off Its Planes.” Of course this post sparked controversy, with some people agreeing with Delta, and asking why Clay would expose the entire plane to a case of head lice. 

Dermatologist Doris Day explained to Inside Edition: “Just because you are in a plane or closed space doesn’t necessarily mean you are going to get head lice from someone who is infected,” she said. “You really get exposed to it more by sharing articles of clothing or instruments like hair brushes or combs.” 

While Clay is still furious upset that Delta took his child out and conducted an exam in front of hundreds of people, Delta Airlines said in a statement that health and safety are their top priority and they’re working with the family to resolve the issue.

Shortly after one Texas neighborhood got a new mail man, one homeowner started noticing something unusual occurring while reviewing his security cameras.

Shortly after the new mailman started delivering mail to the neighborhood, Aaron Hernandez noticed that he was going out of his way to pet and play with his five Labrador Retrievers that like to stand around the driveway gate in front of the house during the day.

“He’s a new mailman around the neighborhood and I noticed it a couple of times,” said Hernandez, who recently posted footage of the sweet interaction on Twitter. “I thought it was time to share with everybody! Even when we aren’t home to show our dogs love we can always depend on the mail man to give it to them even on rainy days. Now this is love.”

In the footage, the mailman is seen going out of his way to walk down the driveway to pet and play with each of the excited dogs before getting back to work. “I think it was really caring and loving that he took time out of his busy day to do that,” Hernandez said.

Mailman Caught Going Out Of His Way To Play With Family’s Dogs is an article from: LifeDaily

No matter how much experience you have on a motorcycle, they are incredibly dangerous machines to drive. Recently, one California man learned that lesson the hard way after an afternoon ride nearly ended his life.

While riding his motorcycle through the Santa Monica mountains in Calabasas, California, 27-year-old Matthew Murray lost control while going just over 40 miles per hour and drove straight off a 250-foot cliff. “It processed immediately in my head that, you’re going to die,” Murray said.

“I was only doing, like, 40 miles per hour and I went to lean into this turn and this bike would not let lean,” Murray said about the fall, which was all captured on his GoPro that was mounted on his bike. Miraculously, Murray survived the fall and started calling out for help.

However, because no one would ever find him in the remote ravine and he couldn’t reach his bike to get his cell phone, Murray had to climb back up the hill with broken bones. “I really had no choice but to climb,” said Murray, who flagged someone down once he made it to the top and called 911.

“They just said people have to fight or flight, or whatever it is, and I just decided to fight. Honestly, my legs were done so I just kind of crawled up, and once I made it to the top I just collapsed,” Murray said. “There’s your bike and that’s where you landed, 250 feet down there,” a first responder said. “The last guy I saw come out of here was in a basket and got a helicopter ride.”

Kathy’s been under fire recently after she posted a photo holding a severed head that was a replica of President Donald Trump. Reportedly, Kathy is no longer under federal investigation and the case is closed. 

Kathy is one of many celebs who has publicly shared how cancer has affected them and their families. Actress Shannen Doherty shared her experience with breast cancer on her Instagram account and showed photos with her head shaved in addition to radiation treatment and CT scans.

For the past year, one Californian 10-year-old has saved every last penny so that she and her family could take a trip to Disneyland.

After a year of saving, fifth grader Andrea Ramirez managed to save up $200, and was thrilled that she finally saved up enough money to go to Disneyland. But just a week before she and her family was supposed to go, thieves broke into their home and stole all the money, which she had packed in her suitcase.

“I was so happy to go but when they robbed me I thought I wasn’t going to go anymore,” said Andrea. But when the police heard what happened, they were determined to make things right even if they couldn’t find the thieves. “She saved her money all year, which is pretty significant for a 10-year-old,” Salinas Police Chief Adele Frese said. “Our police officers said there’s no way not on my watch it was bad enough the burglary happened but we got to make this good for this little girl.”

“They said, ‘Let’s try to get the $200 collected from the police department,” Frese said.When word spread around the department, more and more officers donated money. They quickly surpassed their $200 goal, and called the family down to surprise them with the $1,050 that they raised.

“Her dad was so humble and so grateful; Andrea was absolutely stunned,” Frese said. “This is the type of thing that we go to policing for. To heal harms is kind of healing for us too.”

Cops Raise Money For Girl After Disney Trip Savings Stolen is an article from: LifeDaily

Shortly after one Texas neighborhood got a new mail man, one homeowner started noticing something unusual occurring while reviewing his security cameras.

Shortly after the new mailman started delivering mail to the neighborhood, Aaron Hernandez noticed that he was going out of his way to pet and play with his five Labrador Retrievers that like to stand around the driveway gate in front of the house during the day.

“He’s a new mailman around the neighborhood and I noticed it a couple of times,” said Hernandez, who recently posted footage of the sweet interaction on Twitter. “I thought it was time to share with everybody! Even when we aren’t home to show our dogs love we can always depend on the mail man to give it to them even on rainy days. Now this is love.”

In the footage, the mailman is seen going out of his way to walk down the driveway to pet and play with each of the excited dogs before getting back to work. “I think it was really caring and loving that he took time out of his busy day to do that,” Hernandez said.
