When faced with the task of building a home on an impossibly small and unusually shaped lot next to a river, one architect decided to make the most of the blank space with some creative planning.

The river house below is only 594-square-feet, which is only about a fourth the size of the typical American home, and about the same size as the average great room. Despite its small size, the home still manages to feel spacious and comfortable.

In just 594-square-feet, the designers of this river house managed to fit in all the comforts of a much larger home.

The first level of the home has the bathroom, bedroom, and space for storage while the upstairs features a full kitchen with a refrigerator, oven, dishwasher, and sink.

The entire second floor was kept open to make the space appear larger than it really was, and also features an open loft that functions as a play room.

In order to keep the office and entertainment space feel open, the designers turned the exterior walls into huge windows.

Dogs will eat just about anything they can get their mouths on, which is why it’s no surprise that this hungry Boxer gobbled up a cookie the second he could reach it.

In the video below, an adorable little boy is about to learn the hard way why dogs can never be trusted around food. The minute the dog gets close enough to the boy’s cookie, he swallows it whole and leaves the little boy in shock.

This adorable little boy felt bad for the two dogs that were begging for his food, and decided to share his cookie with them.

But the minute the dog gets his mouth on the cookie, he snatches the whole thing out from the boys hand and practically inhales it.

At first, the baby is confused about where his cookie went, but then starts tearing up as he realizes his yummy treat is gone forever.

Well, they are three young girls who recently performed a thought-provoking song and dance at a Donald Trump presidential rally on Wednesday night in Pensacola, Florida.

Musicians like R.E.M. and Aerosmith are probably happy that Donald, at least didn’t use their music, as they had previously asked Trump to stop using their songs in campaign events. Donald dubs this his official campaign song, “The Official Donald Trump Anthem.”

The unusual ballad was written one year ago by the manager of the USA Freedom Kids, Jeff Popick.  Popick originally wrote the song for Lt. General Patton, who led the United States Army to liberate Italy during World War II, and says he changed it for Donald Trump after hearing he wanted a leader like Patton to help defeat ISIS.

Popick is a big fan of Trump, saying he has read every one of his books.

“I’ve studied Donald Trump personally, and I’ve read every book he’s written, and I think he’s a genius on many fronts,” Popick told New York Magazine. “He’s always inspired me.”

But others aren’t so fond of the new song, and people on Twitter are comparing it to North Korean Dictator Kim Jong II’s celebratory ceremonies:

When this disabled mother’s Blue Heeler/Lab mix passed away about 6 months ago, she was understandably heartbroken. 

After some time had passed and she had time to grieve, her children decided to do something they knew would help heal their mom’s broken heart. So they waited until her birthday to surprise their mother with the ultimate gift!

Mom sat in her wheelchair and one of the kids placed a large present on her lap, advising her to carefully open the lid.

The moment mom sees an adorable 8-week-old puppy pop out, she was in tears! She smiled happily to know that she now had the love from an animal again, the love she had so dearly missed for the past 6 months of her life. 

The family named the dog Kincaid, and he is now training to become mom’s service dog.

As you can see in this incredible video of one scuba diver’s wild encounter, just about anything can happen under the sea. Worst case scenario is that you come face to face with Jaws. Best case scenario? I’d have to go with what happens in this next incredible clip.

“I stuck my arm into a small underwater cave and was surprised to have an Octopus latch onto my arm with all it’s strength” the snorkeler wrote.

He was looking for rock lobster (no, not that Rock Lobster…the spiny kind) off the coast of Perth when the cephalopod latched on for dear life.

“It wouldn’t budge for a few minutes and several attempts at pulling it off were unsuccessful as it would just latch onto my other arm,” he wrote, but luckily the octopus didn’t want to hold him hostage forever.

That’s exactly what happened when one man went above and beyond when he encountered a woman in desperate need of help while on the road.

Posted to ololondon1 on Rumble, we see a man known as Pawel O travelling on his motorcycle along a busy road near London, England. Lucky for us, Pawel decided to keep his helmet camera on and filming during his scenic ride, but instead of taking in the beautiful landscapes, he caught something way more shocking.

When traffic came to a halt, Pawel drove up on his motorcycle to find a woman sitting in the middle of the road, refusing to move or let other cars pass. While other bystanders stood aside and watched the drama unfold, Pawel decided to take matters into his own hands and confront the suicidal woman.

What happens next likely saved this troubled woman’s life.

Being potty trained is basically the last step when graduating from being a little baby to being a ‘big kid’, which explains why this little guy is so eager to master the art of using the toilet.

Forget Donald Trump, we’ve found a candidate who can really knock your socks off!

Meet Norbert, the therapy dog who according to his Instagram, will be running for President this year.

Norbert is a three pound mixed breed dog with a tongue that dangles slightly out of his mouth due to the way his teeth were formed. He’s an adorable beast with a Presidential attitude.

He also knows how to give great high fives:

Because of the dogs small size, Norbert couldn’t live in just any home. He had to be given to a special caregiver who could attend to his specific needs. When Mom, Julie, adopted him in 2009, she met those special requirements that Norbert needed.

Norbert became a therapy dog when his Mom brought him into an eyeglass store in Boston one afternoon. A woman working in the store saw the dog and said he would make a wonderful therapy dog.

For those who are unfamiliar with therapy animals, these animals are trained and registered to provide love and comfort to people in places like hospitals, retirement homes, nursing homes, schools, hospices, disaster areas, and to people with learning difficulties.

Norbert passed the requirements with flying colors and now brings love and affection to people:

There’s a father somewhere in St. Louis with an awesome and terrible sense of humor.

When a 6-year-old boy asked his father for a $20 advance on his allowance, Dad didn’t just say “no,” he typed out a letter to let his son know how the real world works, and he even posted the letter to Imgur.

While we doubt this 6-year-old understood his Dad’s sense of humor (most first graders have never filed for a loan before), we are certainly getting a kick out of it!

A mountain lion once destined to spend his entire life chained as a prisoner of criminals now finally has the freedom he’s always longed for.

For two decades, mountain lion Mufasa was kept chained in the back of a truck as a prisoner of a circus troupe in Peru.

One look at the animal and you can see how exhausted and hopeless he’s become after a lifetime of abuse.

Thankfully, local police teamed up with the amazing heroes of Animal Defenders International, a London-based group on a mission to rescue animals in danger and end abuse, to save Mufasa once and for all.

In the video below, we see the heroes break Mufasa’s chains and take him away from the monsters that have deprived him of a life in the wild.

According to the ADI website, Mufasa succumbed to health problems like liver failure and passed away just weeks after his rescue at the refuge he was transferred to.

“We are so sad he did not enjoy more time in his forest habitat,” they wrote. “But the real tragedy would have been if he had never experienced that freedom at all.”

A 1-year-old Pit Bull Terrier was found locked in the back of an SUV on Friday, but fortunately, things are about to turn around for him.

When a crew from an Ohio dealership showed up to repossess a car, they didn’t expect to find a creature living in the back of it.

“Superior Auto here in town went to repo the vehicle, and on their way back to their dealership, they heard something in the back, and that’s when they discovered this dog was in a crate,” said Jim Tate, director of the Clinton County Humane Society.

Once the repossession team members realized there was a dog in the back, they stopped the car.

“If you’d seen the vehicle, it was nasty throughout,” Tate said, who also told an Ohio news source that the bottom of the crate was filled with urine and fecal matter that led investigators to believe the poor animal had been there for a long time. They weren’t sure exactly how long the Pit Bull had been living in the back of the car, but based on the condition he was in, it was too long.

“They got him out,” said Ben Pfeffer, treasurer of Paw Pals of Clinton County, which pays for treatment of neglected animals that arrive at the shelter. “The Superior people were really good about it. They called right away. In fact, they went over to Marsh and got some dog food for him. He ate.”

Sources say he then ate and ate and ate and ate. When they gave him water, he lapped it down for almost three days straight. 

“We don’t know how long he’d been in there,” Tate said. “The dog is pretty emaciated.”

The Pit Bull has since been adopted by one of the crew members who found him and appropriately named him Repo. Repo is a mild-mannered pooch was restored to health by the Paw Pals.

“We’ve been in contact with the owners. They knew what was going on,” Tate said. “They told me he was in there just overnight because they had a family emergency.”

But Tate and Pfeffer doubt that since the owners were not allowed to have dogs in their house.

If you’ve never heard of a smash cake, don’t worry, you aren’t alone in that. A smash cake is a small cake given to the guest of honor (often a baby that doesn’t yet know how to eat with a fork and knife). The purpose of giving them an entire cake to themselves is so they can have their first nibble, and so you can get some PRICELESS photos from the occasion.

Jellycat, the stuffed bunny, just had the vacation of a lifetime.

Most stuffed animals rarely get away from their day job. Looking after their tot-sized owners is a full-time job that rarely comes with any breaks. But when a stuffed bunny named Jellycat was left behind at the Adare Manor Hotel in Ireland, the staff had a little too much fun pampering the plush pet.

First, the notified social media via Facebook that the toy had been left behind. Then they promised to take care of the little guy until his owner came to retrieve him.

And what followed was the cutest photoshoot we’ve ever seen.

The bunny was first lost at breakfast, where he glumly contemplates his predicament:

We’ve heard of dogs that look like people and even dogs that act like people, but what about dogs that look and act like their stuffed animals.

Well, thanks to Instagram, we found one little guy who has a best friend that isn’t real. It’s not an imaginary friend, it’s simply a plush toy that he likes to imitate when he sleeps.

We aren’t sure why he imitates the toy, but for some reason he sleeps in the same position as it, and even looks like it when he does.

What’s cuter than two pug puppies going crazy for kisses?

The only thing cuter is two pug puppies going crazy for kisses from a baby who can’t stop giggling at them.

We really can’t tell who was more excited here. The puppies seem to be enjoying themselves as they wag their tail and excitedly lick the face of Louie, but Louie seems to be enjoying himself on an equal level. The video is so precious, we’re surprised neither passed out from all the excitement.

This adorable little girl isn’t a sensei yet, but that doesn’t mean she can’t work her way there.

When attending her white belt inauguration, this adorable tot was asked to recite the creed. The creed is a promise to oneself to develop in a responsible and healthy manner and to use one’s strength only for good. It’s also a creed that we should all live by, even if we don’t participate in martial arts.

So when this adorable pipsqueak recited the powerful creed, we witnessed the cutest recitation of a promise ever captured on camera.

She also reminds us a lot of this little guy who attended a similar ceremony and was asked to break a board with his foot. His attempt was hilarious.

Just when you thought you have seen it all, here’s one smart animal that will blow your mind.

You probably already know monkeys are the closest relatives of humans in the primate family and that we share approximately 99% of our genes with these little guys, but did you know that we’re slowly teaching them to be just like us?

MonkeyBoo is an intelligent 4-year-old Black-capped Capuchin who is taking his human behavior to the next step.

MonkeyBoo clearly has a dedicated trainer. In the video, we see a man hand the little fella a piece of dental floss. At first, the monkey stares in confusion as if he doesn’t know what to do with it. Then, he proceeds to do something with it that we all need to do more frequently; he flosses his teeth.

The result is hilarious! When was the last time you saw a monkey acting so similarly to a human?

In the wild, Capuchin monkeys are known for their intelligence. In fact, they have negotiating skills that are equal to that of a three-year-old child.

Humans may be reluctant to floss their teeth, but MonkeyBoo does not mind. We all know that monkeys love to groom and apparently flossing is an extension of that. This incredible video shows us that if a Capuchin monkey can do it, so can we. Always remember to floss!

You might not know Olly Oliver the six-year-old cat from Brockley, south London, but a lot of the local shoppers know his familiar face…and stare.

Back in November, Olly wandered into the food market, and he’s been a pain in the bum since, refusing to leave. Security has consistently kicked him out of the store, however the cat keeps wandering back in the coattails of the stores wanted patrons.

Olly has become a bit of a local celebrity.

Not only is he a beast that’s impossible to shake, he’s known for staring at customers and silently judging them for their purchases (okay, so he probably isn’t judging them, but have you seen this stare?!)

Occassionally, he will consent to a back scratch or head rub.

“ACTUAL CELEBRITY: the famous Brockley Sainsbury’s cat, lamenting the fleeting nature of fame and stardom,” one Twitter user said about the belligerent beast.
