We’ve all been there. There has been a time in our lives where we’ve had to get over someone that we once loved, or possibly still love.
The initial sting of the breakup is hard to bare, and we feel like we will never get over this person and never move on with our lives.
Whether you are going through a breakup now, or are unhappy in your relationship, but are afraid to breakup, here are LifeDaily’s 14 Ways To Get Over A Breakup:
14. Acknowledge that it is for the best
Whether it was your choice to breakup, or your partners choice, your relationship has ended for a reason. Someone was unhappy, or something wasn’t working, which in turn has led you both to where you are now.
13. Every time you go to text your ex, have a friend you text instead
It is always extremely helpful to have a friend literally on call that you will text every time you think of texting your ex. Whether it’s late at night, or at any point throughout the day, when you have an inclination to text your ex, text your friend instead.
12. Remember, you have the rest of your life to be with someone
If you are going through a breakup, and feel like it’s the end of the world, remember this important thing: If you are 25 years old for example and you are lucky enough to live until 100 years old, that means you have 75 more years to be with someone, and to be married! If you can really wrap your head around how much time that is, it will make the emotions that you are feeling right now more bearable. If you have 75 years to be with someone, you should be enjoying your single life and alone time right now, because you literally have the rest of your life!
11. Avoid stalking your ex on social media
You know the phrase: “out of sight, out of mind,” well this saying is certainly true, especially when it applies to social media. If you are constantly checking your social platforms, in hopes of finding out what your ex is doing, or if they look happy, you are wasting your time. Remember the other common phrase: “a picture is worth a thousand words” – you can interpret a picture of your ex in so many different ways, and none of them are probably reality. For example, your ex can be shown in pictures partying clubs four nights a week, but that doesn’t mean that they are happy. This can be their way of coping, and you getting hung up on what your ex is doing is not going to get you nowhere. If your ex and their pictures and posts are “out of sight,” then they are definitely “out of your mind.”
10. Write down your feelings
Writing down your feelings can be an extremely healthy way of coping with a breakup. It allows you to get your feelings out, which also helps you to make sense of them. If you have a desire to say something to your ex, write a letter but never send it. That way, your feelings are still out there, but you are not putting the focus on your ex by giving them the letter. You are keeping the focus on “you” by keeping that letter for yourself.
9. Avoid doing the on/off thing
Many people have done this, and all it does is prolong the poor and uncomfortable feelings that you felt when you initially broke up. By hanging out with your ex, you are preventing yourself from meeting someone new, and you’re incapable of giving your heart to another person when it still belongs to your ex. Don’t allow your ex to have you now that you guys are broken up, and create that line for yourself that you deserve more. The only way anyone is going to respect you is if you respect yourself first. So don’t cave into the desire to see your ex just because you miss them, or you miss being with someone. It is not worth it and you have to think of the bigger picture, so be strong!
8. The Earth’s population consists of over 7 billion people
Yes. Just 7 billion. So you may have lost your boyfriend/girlfriend/husband/wife, but that does not mean you will never find someone else. You feel very isolated and closed off right now because you are going through heartache, but you have to remember that there are billions of people going through the same thing that you are. So not only do you have many things in common with complete strangers, but you have so many opportunities to connect with people, that because you are so hurt, you are actually blind to.
7. Spend time with your friends/family
When you are going through a breakup, it is a great time to lean on your friends and family, and the people that are close to you. If they care about you, they will help you through this time, and help to be your support system. It’s always always nice to enjoy time with your friends, and also catch up with your family, as your time able to spend with them might be limited, and specially limited when you were in a relationship.
6. Don’t put a time limit on how much time you take for yourself
People may tell you that you shouldn’t be home anymore, you should be out and you should be meeting people. I’m going to tell you to ignore them if you are not ready. Don’t let anyone tell you how you should feel, and take all the time you need. When you are ready to go out and mingle you will, but forcing yourself to get out there and meet new people will do you no good if you are not ready to. Also, starting a new relationship when you are still grieving over your ex is probably not the smartest idea either. Just take your time, and do what feels right.
5. Learn something from it
Is there anything you can take from this relationship that will help you in a future relationship? Is there something you can work on during your single time that will make you better for when you meet that special someone? You should spend this time working on yourself, and taking all the lessons that you learned from your past relationship.
4. Focus on yourself
This is the most important one, as anytime you start to miss your ex, or become unhappy with your present situation, you should “focus on yourself.” Focus on the present, focus on creating your future. Know that anything you do now will lay the foundation for your future. If you’re still in school, work extra hard to increase your chances of getting a great job. If you are working, put your focus into your work, and know that by doing so, you will feel amazing.
3. Do the things that you enjoy
This can include any of your hobbies that might have been put on the back burner: like dancing, swimming, rollerblading, bike riding, art, cooking, anything! Maybe you lost sight of your life for a little bit, which is totally normal when you’re in a relationship, but this is your chance to do all the things that you’ve been wanting to do, and all the things that make you happy.
2. Time heals all
Time heals all, including your broken heart. The way you are feeling now, is not the way you will feel three months from now, and not even one month from now. You just need to get used to this person not being in your life anymore. They have become a habit for you, as you have gotten used to spending time with them, and used to talking to them everyday. However, the more time that passes, the more you will get used to not being with them. I promise you, you will feel so much better in a little while from now. So stop worrying about how you’re going to get through this, or imaging how you’ll feel in a week from now, or tomorrow, just focus on this present moment.
1. You create your own happiness
Yes, you, and no one else. No one is going to make you happy if you are not happy yourself. Not a relationship, not materialistic things- nothing. You create your own happiness, and by practicing happiness, you will bring so many people into your life, it’s unbelievable. Happiness is truly contagious, and when you are happy, you become a magnet attracting other happy people that want to be around you.
I hope that this article helped you to cope with your breakup, and deal with the feelings that you are probably feeling. Remember that these poor feelings will not last forever, and you will get through it with time and a little bit of work and self discipline. You will be stronger than you were before this breakup.

Originally appearing on Buzzfeed, a guy who has been dating his girlfriend since age 10 just proposed to her in the most absurdly adorable way possible. Last Fall, Sam Maccarone of Hoboken NJ got down on one knew and popped the question to his long-time girlfriend Jessica Burzichelli, also from Hoboken.
The two began dating when they were just 10-years-old.
They endured the awkwardness of high school together.
And while the two didn’t go to college together, they did find ways to make it work.
So when Maccarone decided to propose, something Burzichelli had been hinting at for a few months, he decided to make it a production, literally. He enlisted his cousin Matty Mac to make a music video for the couple.
Burzichelli thought he just needed any couple, but Maccarone had a special surprise at the end. Watch the link for all its adorable glory!

While some are hysterical, these stingy money saving hacks actually work!
Keep the green in your pocket by reading these Stingy Money Saving Hacks You Must Try:
Lower default brightness on your TV
By lowering the default brightness on your television, you can save up to 40% on energy consumption. The best part is that when you lower it, you probably won’t even notice a difference.
Make calls on your computer with google voice
You can eliminate your expensive phone bill by making free phone calls on your computer using Google Voice, and it even gives you the option to add video.
Ask companies if they will lower your costs
Some companies (such as credit card and utility companies) are known to offer you a lower price on your bills simply by asking. They will find a discount for you and work it into your monthly bill.
Go to the library
Most people don’t go to the library anymore, but by going, you can get free books, music and DVDs. Many libraries now have electronic book networks to allow you to read your favorites on your electronic devices.
Put a brick in your toilet tank
This may sound crazy, but by putting a brick in your toilet tank, you reduce the amount of water you use per flush. This ultimately reduces your water usage significantly each time you use the toilet.
Share wi-fi with neighbors
With the right wireless router, your Wi-Fi signal can travel quite a distance. Work with your neighbors to share one Wi-Fi bill instead of paying it separately.
Paint your roof white
Dark colors absorb heat, so by painting your roof white, you are bringing less heat into your home. By having the interior of your home cooler, in turn your energy bills will go down.
Cancel your expiring cable contract and start a new one
When your cable contract is up, you will likely have to pay more money. But, you can skip doing that by canceling your current contract and starting a new one. Remember, you’ll be eligible again for all those great discounts.
Drink more tap water
Instead of paying $2 on average for a bottle of water, get in the habit of drinking tap water. Drinking more water in general is good for you, and makes you feel full, and drinking more tap water helps you save money on bottled.
Make your own coffee
Instead of shelling out a few dollars- upwards of $5 at some specialty coffee shops, make your own coffee at home. Carry it in a mug, and it will at least get you through the morning.
Think in terms of how many hours you would have to work
If you are eyeing a new pair of shoes or a bag, figure out how many hours you would have to work to pay it off. This may change your mind on spending large sums of money when it is not necessary.
“If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, you are a leader.”
Said very eloquently by our sixth President of the U.S., John Quincy Adams.
To be a true leader, you must embody certain qualities that most people don’t have. LifeDaily shares 10 Signs You Are A True Leader:
1. You never fail to lead
Leaders set an example for the rest of their team to follow, and they would never expect things from their team that they don’t expect from themselves. True leaders show their commitment, and they are always at the forefront of the masses showing everyone the way forward- they lead by example.
2. You have massive vision
Leaders think big, and have big plans. Most people don’t get it, and others often try and persuade you to compromise your goals. A real leaders vision can never be swayed by anyone or anything. Henry Ford has said: “Obstacles are those fruitful things you see when you take your eyes off your goal.”
3. You are passionate
A true leaders passion exudes within them. It sparkles in their eyes, and emulates straight from their heart and soul. When a leaders passion is ignited, they explode with enthusiasm, and it is contagious to everyone around them: It’s infectious.
4. You are optimistic
Leaders are far from pessimistic. They know that if they doubt themselves, then all else fails. They don’t look for the negatives in things, and they are natural optimists. They are “the glass half full,” not “the glass half empty” believers.
5. You always keep your commitments
You rarely ever see a real leader flaking out on their commitments. They refuse to let people down, and they keep their word because it’s important to them. They know that without their word they are nothing, and it is a privilege to them to hold themselves accountable for others.
6. You never procrastinate
Leaders know that he who hesitates loses. They have a “do it now,” attitude, and they know that if something that doesn’t get done today, there will be no time to get it done tomorrow. In our fast-paced society, this is essential trait for a leader.
7. You never need a pat on the back
Leaders don’t need people praising them for their accomplishments, or telling them “job well done.” Instead, they are confident in themselves without needing praise from others. They do like for their team however to let them know if they’ve made a mistake, so that they can learn from it and correct it.
8. You’re always learning
Leaders never stop learning, and never stop asking questions. They know that there is always something new they can learn that will help them improve their business, and continue to be innovative, and to grow.
9. You never sit in judgement
Leaders are so secure in their hearts and souls that they don’t feel the need to judge others around them, even if those people have done wrong to them. They don’t waste their precious moments harboring grudges or resentment- they know that that time can be spent advancing their life and their business.
10. You never avoid challenges
Leaders never shy away from confrontation, and they prefer to tackle problems head on, rather them let them fester. Nothing is left unsaid with leaders- they let you know how they think and how they feel, in a genuine, positive, and constructive way.
The marijuana business is growing like a weed and a Colorado entrepreneur is cashing in on the new market. CannaCamp, a Bud+Breakfast™ Mountain Resort, is like summer camp for stoners. Located in Durango, Colorado, the mountain lodging includes your typical outdoor adventures like hiking, rock climbing, and zip lining, all with the optional accompaniment of cannabis.
The resort also offers cannabis-centered activities like educational classes, glass-blowing demonstrations, and yoga.
At 4:20 everyday, there’s a happy hour, and meals come with a recommendation of strains to pair taste with aroma and flavor. The website boasts, “through these meals, you will gain a new appreciation for both cannabis and food, jumpstarting your path towards becoming true cannabis connoisseurs, or Cannaseurs if you will.”
Of course, the luxury mountain resort is not a cheap joint. The price per customer is a humble $395 a night and that’s before you buy any herbs. CannaCamp can’t actually supply their guests as it violates state laws, but the on-site marijuana concierge (I swear I’m not making this up), will recommend strains and suggest pairings for activities and meals.
Recreational Marijuana sales however, are booming in Colorado, and we’re not just blowing smoke. Licensed businesses selling recreational marijuana are collectively bringing in millions. A 2015 Convergex study found that Colorado “grossed $3.55 million in revenues from the 10% retail sales tax in January, which suggests stores earned $35.5 million in revenue.” The only thing higher than those numbers, are the ones driving them up.
If you’ve ever been in a long distance relationship or travel abroad, you know how difficult and expensive it can be to stay in touch with the people you love. WhatsApp co-founders Brian Acton and Jan Koum recognized this need and created a lasting service that helps people stay connected, no matter where they go in the world.
Take a look at these six quotes from Koum and Acton that explains how they made a product that sold to Facebook for nearly $19 billion five years after creating it.
7.
“We’re the most atypical Silicon Valley company you’ll come across. We were founded by thirtysomethings; we focused on business sustainability and revenue rather than getting big fast, we’ve been incognito almost all the time, we’re mobile first, and we’re global first.”
6.
“We won’t stop until every single person on the planet has an affordable and reliable way to communicate with their friends and loved ones.”
5.
“‘We are providing a richness of experience and an intimacy of communication that e-mail and phone calls simply can’t compare with.”
4.
“We focus a lot on the quality of experience, speed, reliability. It’s not sexy from a lot of people’s perspective, it’s not glitzy in the feature set, but it’s what people come to rely on.”
3.
“We do have a manifesto opposing advertising. We’re proud of that. Who likes advertising? We’re so bombarded with ads so much in our daily lives and we felt that smartphones aren’t the place for that.”
2.
“It’s not hard to sell a company, but if you look at [leading online] companies today like Facebook, Google, Yahoo and Twitter, they didn’t sell. They stuck around and built a great offering for users.”
1.
“Do one thing, and do it well.”

Some people think that blue collar workers are lazy, irresponsible, and only work for a paycheck.
Newsflash: everyone works for a paycheck! Without blue collar jobs and workers, we’d be in a whole bunch of trouble.
LifeDaily gives thanks to 9 Blue Collar Jobs That Run The Country:
1. Subway and Bus Operators
Even though there are always many, many problems with the subway system, we still rely heavily on the subway and bus operators to get around! If you think the subway system is crazy now, can you imagine how much crazier it would be if there was no one to work these jobs?
2. Police Officers and Firefighters
Police officers and firefighters are vital to our country. They are our protectors, leaders, and heroes. We need to remember that they put their lives on the line every single day. Can you imagine going to work every day and having your life be in jeopardy?
3. Waiters/Bartenders
Most bartenders can be considered our therapists, in addition to someone to serve us our cold beer after a long days work. Waiters and waitresses deal with a ton, including hundreds of different personalities on any given day, obnoxious children, and constant complaints from customers- all of which they have no control over. What would we do without these people?
4. Elevator Installers and Repairers
Elevators were invented back in 1852, so it’s safe to say they’ve been around for a long time, and carried a lot of weight. The upkeep of elevators wouldn’t be possible without elevator installers and repairers, and it is these hard working men and women who save us from walking up numerous flights of stairs, and spending a little too much time in a stuck elevator.
5. Plumbers
Plumbers are needed for things to function properly, and a good plumber, like a mechanic, is necessary to fix the things in our home that malfunction or stop working. What would we do without plumbers? Probably freak out like crazy, because these people literally keep us from jumping off the deep end when things in our home go array.
6. Long Distance Truckers
There’s a saying, “If you have it, a trucker brought it.” Examples: food, clothes, toys, iPads: they are all transported via truck, which means there was someone driving the truck- a trucker! Without truckers, stores would be empty, and we would have no access to the things we need, or the things we want.
7. Farmers
Farmers are often blended into the landscape of our economy, and are most definitely taken for granted. We often forget that they are fundamental to our nation’s economy, and without them, our country would become a whole lot busier having to harvest our own food. It would be pretty time consuming for us to do this, which is why farmers are vital blue collar workers.
8. Construction Workers
Construction workers, literally and unfortunately may break their backs in a day’s work. They build homes, highways, hospitals, and schools, they dig trenches, and install sewers- and this is to name a few. Construction workers can also read blueprints and anticipate budgets so projects are completed properly and on time. They do the jobs the rest of us wouldn’t want to do, and the job most of us can’t.
9. Mechanics
What would we do without a mechanic when our car breaks? Unless we are among the few people who know how to fix a car themselves, a mechanic is necessary. They’ll tell you what the problem is, and the best and most economical way to fix it. They’ll also probably give you a ton of helpful hints to keep your car in tip top shape, because let’s be honest, you have no idea what a carburetor is anyway.
If you are a blue collar worker and we missed you, we are deeply sorry, but we would like to thank you for all of your hard work, and the fantastic services you provide us.
Of all of the Zodiac signs, the Cancers (born June 22-July 22) are some of the most caring and emotional of the bunch. Those who associate with the crab are loyal, dependable, and honest, and because of this, they make excellent partners.
Cancers are summer babies, and while you may think you know them, you’re missing out until you take your relationship to the next level. While Cancer’s are sometimes categorized as “moody,” the truth is that they experience feelings more strongly than everyone else, and that makes being in love with one an incredible ride.
Everyone should date a Cancer in their lifetime. Not convinced? Here are 8 reasons to make a Cancer your next boyfriend or girlfriend.
1. Cancers are rooted in family.
Family, home, and tradition are important to a Cancer. This doesn’t end at his or her own family, but will extend to accept and respect yours as well.
2. Cancers are emotional.
A cancer’s love can be felt by anyone. Cancers value feelings above all else, and because of this, you will always know how your partner is feeling. Cancers do not play games when it comes to dating.
3. Cancers are fiercely protective.
Their loyalty to you also comes with the fact that they will protect you. A cancer will do whatever he or she can to ensure that you feel safe and loved at all times.
4. Cancers are nurturers.
They do whatever they can to take care of you, not just physically, but emotionally. They will want you to feel good about yourself, and help to pick you up when you are down.
5. Cancers are intuitive.
A cancer can tell when you are upset, and when you want to talk about it or be left alone. They can sense what you need and can give it to you.
6. Cancers are physical.
A favorite activity for a cancer is snuggling on the couch watching a movie. They show their love through touch, and expect it in return.
7. Cancers are dependable.
You can always count on a cancer for encouragement and support. They will also do whatever they can to help you out when you need, from even the simplest of tasks to very complicated projects.
8. Cancers are giving.
A cancer would give a stranger the shirt off of their back. If you are dating one, they will be even more giving. Cancer’s like to show their affections this way.
Having the world completely at our fingertips is something that we have become accustomed to, but is it harming us?
While most would answer yes, let us explain why in 7 Reasons Technology Has Ruined Your Relationships, Friendships and Life in General:
1.You feel like you have to document your whole vacation
Ahh…vacations. Relaxing, rejuvenating, and peaceful…who doesn’t look forward to a vacation? But wait. How relaxing and peaceful is our vacation if we feel obligated to document every minute of it. Can we truly ignore the perfect photo op of our toes in the sand, or our coconut drink, or that gorgeous sunset? How could we not document such beauty? But in doing so, we lose out on the moment. The moment that we are supposed to be enjoying peacefully. We become too hyper-focused on it “appearing” as if we are having the time of our lives, but are we?
2. Alone time is not alone time
You would think alone time might be that couple of minutes you spend in the bathroom, but not even. Usually, we take our phones with us into the bathroom while we shower, and certainly while we are on the toilet. While it makes sense to have something to read, we are never really alone. We are being bombarded with everyone else’s shit! (literally, while we are shitting!).
3. Quality time isn’t the same anymore
If we’re in a relationship, we get mad at our partner for being on their phones, and five minutes later we are doing the same thing (whether consciously, or unconsciously). Our time spent alone with our families or partners isn’t alone time anymore, because as long as we are on our phones, we are NOT spending quality time together. We are distracted, and if we are paying attention to the person in front of us, it is not our full attention. And if it’s not our full attention, why would anyone want it? It’s impersonal, hurtful, and harming to our relationships.
4. The stalking is real
Others will view your social media accounts as the puzzle to your life. They will try and piece those pictures and words together anyway they can to analyze you. I don’t know why this is, maybe because social media makes it so accessible for us, but in many ways, it makes us feel better if others aren’t doing as well, or if we are doing better than them. It’s sick, but the truth. Social media makes us gossip, stalk, and brings every thing about a person to our attention, whether we want to know it, or not.
5. You have to be careful of everything you post
Example: You decide to call in sick to work to go to the beach, and your boss finds out from another coworker because you posted a picture on your Instagram. Or you skip out on plans with someone to hang out with someone else, and that person posts a picture of you two out together. Basically, the wrong thing photo can get you in a lot of trouble, and who wants to deal with the repercussions? Can’t you just live your life!?
6. We can’t even eat without documenting it
Can’t anyone just get their food, and admire the deliciousness themselves? Or enjoy their food with whoever they’re eating with? Is this even possible? We feel the need to capture the perfect image of our acai bowl, or perfectly pretty donut, seafood tower, or penne alla vodka dish. Not to mention our warm chocolate chip cookies, 20 sushi rolls, and our ice cream cones. I doubt back in the stone age people would ever wait more than one minute to eat their food. Especially those people whose food is scarce- they probably could care less about documenting it. Why are we so obsessed? Not only is it annoying to us and others around us, but by the time we eat our food, it isn’t as piping hot as it was when it was first brought out.
7. We are so impersonal
The worst part about technology, is how impersonal we have become. Why call, when we can text. And why actually ask someone what’s going on in their lives when we think we can see it on a computer screen, or our phones. This has become our mentally, and our relationships are suffering. Real human connection is greatly diminishing, and we are becoming more like weird robots, rather than humans in the flesh and blood.
Well, yet another day has passed and I didn’t calculate the area of a quadrilateral once. Geometry was mandatory in my high school (as it should be), but I’m still waiting for the day I’ll use that information. Personal finance however, is not a mandatory class and in most high schools it isn’t even offered. However, at least three times this week, that class would have definitely come in handy (had I taken it).
Students and young people struggle with responsible spending because a lot of us are immature, inexperienced, and don’t have the time to learn about it. So, we venture out into the real world equipped only with blind ambition and the necessary skills for calculating the area of a quadrilateral. Some make it; some don’t. Here are a few traps we might step into as young, wide-eyed millennials:
1. Failing to handle your debt responsibly:
As students and recent graduates, we are in debt up to our ears. A 2014 study on student debt reported, “in 2012, 71% of all students graduating from four-year colleges had student loan debt.” Additionally, “average debt levels for all graduating seniors with student loans rose to $29,400.”
Worse, though, is that we don’t really know what to do about this debt or how to handle it in the most responsible manner. Another study, said students and graduates borrow blindly and we greatly underestimate how much we owe. A staggering 14% (who were currently in debt) reported having no debt at all.
For those of us who are in debt, the best way to go about it is by paying more than the minimum. The longer you are in debt, the more interest you accumulate and being tied to monthly payments doesn’t allow you to experience financial freedom in other areas of life.
2. Lacking a clear, well-defined budget:
Geometry still hasn’t come in handy, but arithmetic is about to. If Cindy-Lou makes $600 a week, her rent is $800 a month, and she spends $300 a month on gas and food, how much does she have left over for savings and assorted activities (like going to the club with Stacy)?
Budgeting is actually really easy. This nifty blogger even created a step-by-step guide with spreadsheets included for your benefit. Devote an hour to pulling out pay stubs and receipts, calculate how much you actually need to spend, and you’ll realize that you have a lot of money just going to waste. You’ll stop spending money unnecessarily on Venti Americanos and downgrade to standard black. When vacation time rolls around, future you will be really happy because you’ll be going to Bermuda instead of the Jersey Shore.
3. Living at or beyond your means:
Living on the edge is thrilling and liberating. Living on the financial edge is confining and stressful. It’s easy for young people making “real money” for the first time to inch too close to the line. When we do, we tie ourselves to pricey payments and potentially fall into the trap of debt. The farther away you are from your financial boundary, the less stressed you will be. If you live at or beyond your means, you will find yourself living paycheck to paycheck, which means you can’t be fun and spontaneous. When you live below your means, you have more savings and more disposable income, so you can spontaneously take a weekend trip if it comes up.
4. Overspending:
If you ever have the option of choosing between a Mercedes and a Ford, choose the Ford. Even if the Mercedes is possible, still go for the Ford. Do this because of a psychological phenomenon called hedonic adaptation.
Remember when you were a kid and you got a new toy and it was the “GREATEST THING EVER!!!11″ but then two months later you barely looked at it. This, my friend, is called hedonic adaptation and it happens when you adapt to a change. So, at first the Mercedes will be super awesome, but three months later, it’s just your car, your very expensive car. Where the Ford is also just your car, but it’s not as much of a financial burden, so you have all this extra money just lying around.
5. Missing the due date on paying a bill:
Missing a payment from a bill can come from purposely avoiding it to save money, or simply forgetting. But it creates issues if it goes unpaid for too long. Banks charge fees after a certain amount of time has passed, and if the bill is linked with your credit score (like a car payment is) it will lower your score. This means that when you try to get a house later in life, banks might be unwilling to give you a mortgage because of bad credit.
6. Underestimating the total cost of pricey investments:
When you move out on your own for the first time or buy your own car, you might not realize exactly what you are getting yourself into. No matter how much research you do, its hard to take into account the cost of maintenance and repair.
Likewise, if you rent, but utilities aren’t included in the lease, you might be surprised when a pricey gas bill shows up after an especially cold February. Accounting for all these extra expenditures and having a decent amount of disposable income to serve as a cushion will help you navigate the treacherous waters of adulthood.
7. Paying avoidable fees:
Parking tickets are my mortal enemy. They are also completely avoidable. Moving and parking violations can be easily avoided by planning ahead and having patience. Additionally, if you do get one of those devilish tickets, you could probably avoid the points on your license by going to traffic court. You’ll have to give up a week night, but the judge will usually remove any points simply because you showed up. Sometimes they’ll even reduce the fine, but in most cases they’ll increase it. The idea is that you pay more money now, but you save a lot by removing the points–yeah, I know, I hate the system too.
*BONUS* Walking into Forever 21:
Just stay away. Don’t even step foot in the store. They have these weird machines built into the walls that evaporate your paycheck and turn it into billowing sundresses and crop tops. I don’t know how it works. Probably, like teleportation or something…
Alcohol has been known to lower inhibitions as well as make others appear to be more attractive, a phenomenon known as having beer goggles. But as it turns out, drinking alcohol doesn’t just make everyone else more attractive- it makes the person drinking appear more attractive as well.
According to scientists at the University of Bristol, drinking one large glass of wine causes facial flushing and confidence, which makes the drinker more attractive to others.
Jana Van Den Abbeele, a psychologist at the University of Bristol, and her colleagues asked 20 men and 20 women to rate the attractiveness of people in three different photographs at three levels of intoxication. The first photo was taken while people were sober, the second was taken after drinking a third of a bottle of wine, and the third was taken after those same people drank about two-thirds of a bottle.
The results showed that the tipsy people, or those who drank about a third of a bottle of wine, were consistently rated as the most attractive.
As the study explains, this change in attractiveness can be attributed to the fact that alcohol gives drinkers more flush to their skin, as well as making people more relaxed.
People with redness in the cheeks appear to be healthier, and therefore, more attractive. Alcohol in low doses also makes people appear to be happy and increases relaxation, which also bump up attractiveness levels.
These positive feelings also cause the drinker to drink more alcohol, which the study found to be counterintuitive. The study explains that more alcohol does not equate to being even more attractive.
The study found that drinking too much alcohol causes changes in facial expressions that are seen as being unattractive, and reverses those aforementioned beautifying effects.

Our intuition is the ability to understand something immediately, without the need for conscious reasoning.
While most of us are not keen to listen to our intuition, if we did, it would greatly help us on our path to success.
Here are 7 Reasons Why The Power Of Intuition Will Make You A Success:
1. You will honor your gut feelings, therefore listen to your own voice and make your best decisions
Your gut feelings come from your intuition or inner voice. Most of our gut feelings tell us that we should take a certain course of action on something, however most of us disregard our gut feelings when a business colleague or friend gives us their contradictory views. If you honor your gut feelings, you will have the opportunity to honor what it is you truly want, not what others want or believe.
2. You will be open to change
I know this may seem contradictory, because if you are honoring your gut feelings, you will not be open to change, or the opinions of others. However, intuitive people are very interested in the opinions of others, and will be open to change if they feel it will work well with them. They are not afraid of change, rather open to it, and flexible.
3. You will see everything and be extremely aware
Intuitive people are very aware of the world around them. They notice fine details that others wouldn’t notice, by observing people at work and play. In doing this, they literally compile an encyclopedia of knowledge that provides then with great intelligence, as well as street-smarts, and not to mention a competitive edge.
4. You will know when to relax
People with great intuition have the ability to listen to their body and know when to take a break and recharge. It’s amazing what actually happens when we step away from decision-making, and problem-solving because the answers actually come to us! We’ve taken all this time struggling to solve a problem, only for the answer to pop into our head one night when we are falling asleep, or first thing in the morning.
5. You will connect deeply with others
Intuitive people have the ability to empathize and connect with other people, which is why they make great leaders. They are also able to tune tune in to the needs of others, and they are responsive to those needs, instead of ignoring others’ emotional feelings, and dismissing them.
6. You will take alone time
Any intuitive person knows how valuable their alone time is. When intuitive people step away from the busyness of the world, they are able to tap into their creativity, and allow it to flourish. Taking alone time gives intuitive people the opportunity to quietly reflect on the situations that they face, and connect more profoundly with their inner wisdom (outer noise can be what dims your intuitive self).
7. You will think positively
Most intuitive people are positive thinkers. They have an upbeat attitude, and are optimistic towards life in general. Of course there are times when intuitive people have negative emotions and feelings, however they do not let it disrupt their life as a whole. Instead they hear those feelings, process them, and let them pass, as time allows them to.
Out of these 7 Reasons Why The Power Of Intuition Will Make You A Success, which one do you like the most, or which one do you feel most closely relates to how you are?
